This fair has so many creative people both running it and participating in it. On the top of my favorite fairs this one is in the top 5 easy. There are a lot of vendors with handmade wares, but if you prefer commercial type of merchandise, they have it too. They have seating and grass everywhere, huge trees for shade and cooling the eating areas, there are so many places to people watch and relax. If you want rides they have so many you could be there all day just going on them. Thrill seekers and kids alike. I love the animals in the barns and all of the demonstrations they offer, milking, glass blowing, sewing and more. There is always something going on all day long. The first time we ever visited the Fairplex was for a Harvest Festival. Great events at fairgrounds all over the place intended for shopping for friends and family (and yourself) before the holidays hit. Going to a smaller event like that really let us see the scale of this place. It is huge. We had a lot of fun and ate some food from vendors and enjoyed the music and entertainment provided as well. Years later and we have been back three consecutive years for the Los Angeles County Fair. Great fair that is so big it almost feels more like a state fair than just a county fair. We love the different locales on the grounds with the Farm and the Hill. Several buildings are used as exhibit halls. They are chock full of art, sewing, a skating rink, agricultural presentations, and even a stage with Bavarian dancers. We love attending county fairs, state fairs, and festivals of all kinds. It makes it very rewarding when the event has such a place to set up on, and you can spend hours exploring it and likely still not see everything. We'll definitely be back next year. read more

This review is for an ADCC tournament that was held here. Came here yesterday for ADCC Los Angeles Open. The venue is nice and big with lots of parking. I had to get there early for a 6 am weigh in so I was able to park right in front. There weren't options for food early so plan accordingly if you arrive early. I just ordered Uber eats because the fight was around 12pm. The venue is clean and spacious and ADCC puts on a great tournament. Highly recommend. read more

I have been to the Fairplex for the fair, car shows, expositions etc... I have never been disappointed. The most recent visit was for the 2025 Christmas Mooneyes car show. This show was amazing, there were a ton of awesome cars, great vendors and some good food. In between looking at the cars and vendors I sat in the stands and watched some drag racing. We've been coming here for years...whenever the fair is happening or RV shows, car shows or other events happening, we always try to go at least three times a year. The past couple years, the parking prices have skyrocketed! Last time I was here, parking was ten dollars and this year parking is twenty one dollars. It was more than the entrance fee to the RV shows! We loved the RV show. There were so many vendors and beautiful big and small RV's as well as travel trailers and 5th wheels! It was a cool day so we were there all day. The restrooms were clean, there was someone always cleaning, that was nice to see. We might be back for the Fair in May! It is what it is. Makes sense to hold lots of events of diverse varieties here due to all the space that's available, the "warehouses" where the events can take place, and during the even bigger events, they use the slide, there was the grass area used to view event animals, a fiesta plaza, a carousel, etc. The events I've attended here include a Lunar New Year lantern festival, Asian American Expo and all of its past/present related events (Beauty Con, Sneaker Expo, Anime Impulse, Kcon), LLCW (it was a cat show/con), the Reptile Super Show, the LA Pet Fair, and of course the LA Fair itself. I guess it's the economy and inflation or whatever, but it's kinda gross when the parking itself is more costly than the cost of attendance. Though it might be what convinces people to carpool instead of going in solo. The trams come rather frequently which is nice. Endless concrete everywhere and the flooring of the "warehouses" are hard and can be extremely brutal on your feet, especially if you're waking or even standing around all day. Super blaringly hot in the summer, blinding concrete, so make sure to bring water, sunglasses, mini fans, and of course comfortable shoes. In the rainy season, it's also brutal. The parking lot, I'm not sure when the last time they redid it, but so many potholes and uneven surfaces, if you're not wearing boots, you're going to be soaked up to your knees. They're doing much better with getting AC in the event halls which is nice. Went to a charity event in the Avalon event/restaurant/bar venue at the Fairplex, carpet is disgusting and super aged lol. read more

I attended the popular Thriftcon event on Saturday March 15th. It was an awesome event that happens once a year and only on one day. The building was filled with vintage, retro and upcycled items that were displayed and sold to lovers of fashion. I would appear that T-Shirts was a main focus and they had plenty of options for everybody. It was a total vibe. The DJ played music from various genres, it was a bop! There were also vendors with vintage albums for sale, and they offered discounts, which is a nice touch since visitors purchased more than one item. I will definitely attend Thriftcon again! read more

If you are interested in buying a pet bird, bird food, bird toys, or other pets like turtles, kittens and puppies, this could be an option. It's $15 admission at the door which is steep. I love birds and believe these intelligent creatures should not be behind a cage, so I just came here to admire them. Met a lot of nice bird owners and got to meet their birds. Got to congratulate some new bird owners too. There's definitely fair food outside for purchase as fair prices. If you are like me you may even end up sad seeing all the parrots bunched up in a small cage. Luckily some parrots were able to just hang out outside. We biked there and escaped having to pay $18 to park there. read more

This review is for THRIFTAPALOOZA the Fairplex. Attended on a Sunday 10:20am. We pre purchased our tickets online which saves money from "at the door prices" but you still pay a convenience fee per ticket. Nonetheless, I wanted to see what it was all about. Entrance was easy, no lines, showed my apple wallet tickets and cruised in. Lil' perks: *Cute light up "I (heart) thrift sign" was cute photo moment. *indoors on a hot August day *about 3/4 of the expo tent was full of vendors and plenty of food options! Note: this is more like an antique event imo than thrift. Lots of vtg Pyrex glassware/vtg clothing/vinyls etc. The first rack of clothing (non-vintage) was overpriced. Nothing had a price tag. I asked about pricing and the man said you can "ask about each individual item but all tshirts are appx $20" (GULP!) Moved on from that vendor. Many others were $5/$10/$15 in bins. Some had totes with lids if you felt inclined to dig through the totes. My treasures: *1960's samsonite luggage set (3pc) $40 *2 gold mid-century modern starburst wall decor $2 *Halloween decor item $2 For $40 entrance fees for 3 ppl, $20 parking I wouldn't repeat this experience. It wasn't what I hoped nor expected. Also, I'd recommend if you venture over for yourself to come Saturday and be prepared to deal with crowds. When we left around noon it was more crowded and hard to see the vendors items due to qty of ppl. Just go prepared! read more

The community was so nice and the best kind.. The DJ was awesome the best 80's music hits and people enjoy dancing and eating at great vendors around I was there with Journey of Love & Hope giving free food to the community. The fact is : this is the Pomona Fairplex. Where, just like, the Los Angeles county fair, the location provides a variety of entertainment for all ages. Some will enjoy rv shows, others will come for the drag racing, and others will visit the variety of shows that are hosted, such as the annual 5k 10k and 1/2 marathons. From side shows to street food, the Fairplex provides an ambiance that's fun for everyone and great for family moments. Huge place, best to just use the parking area it offers. Pricy, but what can one do. Prepare to walk and a lot. Score is 3.75 a bit older location, but serves its needs. A modernization would be in need. read more

The purchasing process was not user friendly and they do not offer refunds so I will never be returning to any event here. Second, the fair was mediocre at best. I attended the most recent Reptile Convention here. There was enough parking and even a shuttle to take you from the lots to the convention center/large building. The staff was nice and the lines weren't that long to get into the venue. This is also the venue for the LA County Fair. It's massive, way larger than the OC Fair. read more

I've been here for many events, mainly the L.A. County Fair, but recently for In-N-Out Fest and No Values Fest. This space is YUGE! If you're attending an event here, I would wear comfortable tennis shoes. I will say, I walked more in a day at Disneyland/California Adventure, but it's the heat that makes it feel like I walked double the miles. I attended In-N-Out fest last year and it was mostly outdoors. We were outside in October at around 11 a.m. and it got warm/hot fast. There was not too much to look at, but the heat was a real deterrent. They utilized the dragstrip and had cars racing down the line and had a huge indoor tent for some of the In-N-Out exhibits then they took up a large portion of the parking lot and hosted a huge car show. There was still a great portion of the property that was not utilized for this festival. Recently I attended No Values Fest and when I read it was going to be here I thought, "Great! We're all going to fry in the sun and on the concrete." When I got there the stage set-ups were on both concrete and grass which was nice AND they had seating in the bleachers available to concert goers. This made a world of difference and I had the best time at this festival because there was plenty of space and restrooms for everyone. I still did fry in the sun but it was short lived. Also, this place held a sea of people very well. The big event is the L.A. County Fair and I was going consistently for a while before the pandemic and enjoyed trying the food and seeing the hours of exhibits and entertainment this place had to offer. It's about a month long and I enjoyed getting the month long pass as I was able to see everything over the month as opposed to just one day. If you see an event is being held here, just know it's a lot of walking and the weather might be really cold or really hot or both, so dress accordingly. All in all, it's always an exhaustingly fun time at the Fairplex. read more

This review is for boos and brews. We went last night to check out the double feature, one was supposed to be scary and the other was an Oktoberfest event. It was a huge disappointment and felt like a complete waste of money. The event cost $30 a ticket per person and another $26 just to park. It seemed really unorganized, rushed, and didn't have much to offer for the money or space. After spending another $30 on a bland plate of birria mac & cheese, we noticed that here were no tables for us to eat which was really strange. There was a lack of overall Halloween decorations and not much to play into the theme. Very few scary performers walking around outside and just a handful of mazes. The Oktoberfest portion only offered a small selection of overpriced $25 beers which came in PLASTIC steins. There were no games or challenges that we could participate in either. After driving an hour from the valley, we decided to bail after just one hour inside. This place had potential to make both concepts work but didn't come close to what we were expecting. read more

I came here with some friends for a Pet Expo. Super hot day. I was happy to get a parking spot pretty close to the entrance and happy to see they had some cart-trains that would ferry people closer to their cars if you parked far away. The venue was a good size in terms of number of vendors but the crowds were dispersed awkwardly. The reptile building was packed so full it was hard to move through the aisles without bumping into people. The aquarium building and bird building were sparsely visited. Not sure the solution for that except maybe... I dunno, move the birds/fish closer to the entrance and move the reptiles to the furthest building to try to disperse the crowds a little? It was really hot and the insides of the buildings were okay, but not exactly cool. Just, less hot. Lastly... as we were entering I saw that there was a nesting pair of Peregrine Falcons on one of the building features. High up, but amazing to see and hear. So cool! read more

Even though I live about 15 minutes away, I don't usually come out here much. I remember coming here for the LA County Fair many years ago, but not recently. Lately however, I've been coming here for the Holiday Half Marathon in December. This year, the start and finish line of the race was out on the In-n-Out Burger Pomona Dragstrip. It was a nice venue as it was spacious and puts you in the mood to run a race! However, I wasn't too keen on paying the $17 for parking as I was only there for a few hours. read more

Came here for a cookware factory sale. Parking was $15 per car. Instructions were pretty clear in terms of where to park, and where to go after parking our car. Parking spots were spacious, and there were plenty of parking. Staff and security guards were friendly. The hall where this factory sale took place had strong air conditioning, which is perfect on a hot day. read more

Traffic getting to gate 9 for the pet expo is horrendous, over 1 hours just to go 2 miles. Then $20 for parking, &20 entrance fee per adult , $16 for children and more lines. Fairplex has been offering some very loud concerts into the late hours on Sunday nights post-pandemic, and I have the displeasure of living under 1 mile away. We can hear it in our beds with all of the windows shut. The fairplex is home to an abundance of events, trade shows, fairs, ect. When it is not fair season the halls are utilized for a variety of events. Each event has its own entry fee. Come hungry, bring your walking shoes and stuff your wallet full of cash. See, there is no easy way to get here. You have to walk. My feet are yelling at me right now for wearing 2 inch boots. Parking sucks. Like I said, you have to walk. Even as a vendor, your walking through the main gates. And everyone pays to park. At least $10-$15 depending on the event. Food, ahhh the food. Zero shortage. Expect to pay a pretty penny for some of it. $16.00 Philly's, $14 burgers. See what I mean? They also have teriyaki bowl stands which align with typical food prices. Hot dog on a stick. Ice cream stands and tons of beer. Most of these vendors stay here year round. Most of the events Ive been too, have a variety of vendors with nothing to do with the host. Like clothing, beef jerky, sun glasses, jewerly, ect. , Nice clean bathrooms are located in each hall. If you don't mind spending on food and parking then this is for you. Ok....a 4.5 stars venue. The actual building where the Animanga 2019 Event takes place is far makes the only reason I took off 1/2 star. I'm gonna strive finding free parking on the streets tomorrow and take advantage of the tram. Hopefully, fingers crossed. Anyways, had to ask my dad to drop me off today first exploring the venue to pick up my pass. Since I had a very busy Friday last night due to Family Dinner so was unable to pick up my 3-Day pass till today that I won from the SGV Tix GiveAway. Although the actual venue is far from parking, I was able to locate all the answers from every parking attendant that we came across. Thus, it was a very convenient way of finding visitor parking as we were literally in and outta the parking lot in less than a half hour today.
