She greeted us with a nice big hug. It felt like I was visiting my grandmother's house. She made sure we felt relaxed, taken care of, and just at home. She is there for all of your needs. The property doesn't look big from the outside but it is enormous. We stayed in the King Suite and it was very comfortable. The bathroom is huge and has a jacuzzi tub in it. The backyard has a lot of space for relaxation. She has games such as miniput, table tennis, and an inground pool. There are tons or chairs, swings and a cabana to relax outside at. The best part of course is the 3 course home made breakfast she makes every morning. It starts out with fresh fruit with yogurt, tea or coffee, water, and a smoothie. Then the main entrée, we had Creole Mahi-Mahi over yellow grits with eggs, croissant, and a salad. It ended off with a rum bread pudding. For a nightcap, I enjoyed a couple local IPA's from the rooftop skybar. Very pleasant drinking outside on a mid February evening! The rooms are great. Sleek and stylish. Big lineup of channels on the TV. Fridge, but no microwave. Comfy bed. Slept great. Most importantly you are able to get the room pretty close to pitch dark. My husband is a bit of a germaphobe and usually has several things to say about any room we stay in. He had zero complaints this time, I was shocked! Literally every member of staff that we passed took time to look us in the eye, smile, and greet us. More than one stopped to ask how we were enjoying our stay. As someone who worked in customer service for 7 years, I REALLY appreciate when employees take the time to be personable. We went down to the restaurant for dinner but decided we wanted to eat in the room. The nice woman taking our order said she could have the food delivered to us. I expected styrofoam take-out boxes in a plastic bag, since I hadn't seen any mention of room service being offered, but when it arrived the food was beautifully plated on glass plates and a nice tray. The food was very good. My only complaint was that it was lacking salt on some of the dishes but the hotel provided salt and pepper packets with the cutlery so it was easily remedied. The bed was very comfortable and linens were all very soft and nice. Two observations just as a heads up to future guests. There was no microwave in the room. Looking back at the listing it was not mentioned in the list of amenities, I had just assumed there would be one. It didn't affect our stay much, we had just wanted to reheat some leftovers. I didn't have the chance to look around to see if they offered a microwave in a communal area. Second observation was that essential oils are not allowed in the rooms. I usually like to diffuse oils so I was a bit disappointed, but I do understand them not wanting lingering smells or oil spills in their otherwise immaculate rooms. Neither of these things were big enough to complain about or drop a star for. We will definitely be staying here again and enjoying the restaurant while we're there. I had to be moved to another room which was a suite and supposed to be much nicer. In that room, the thermostat was also barely attached to the wall, but at least it kept the room clean so that was good. The phone in the room was a very old one and didn't even have the button identifiers on it. I had a broken hairdryer included in the bathroom and had to ask for a new one of those as well. They are doing construction outside very early in the morning so that was a little bit disturbing sleep wise, but understandable. It happens sometimes. I would say one out of four of the front desk staff I encountered, were actually polite to me on a regular basis. The beds were comfy, and I enjoyed the pillows although, I asked for housekeeping was told I would get it never did. The following day I was told I got some kind of a refresh service something that was not only never explained to me. It was also incomplete and I didn't get all of the services that came with that. My last day I didn't get any service, but at that point, it was pretty irrelevant. This was my first time staying at a Fairfield Inn and suites property. Normally, I choose the Residence Inn. I will probably return to that moving forward. The breakfast was decent day one, options were not as good day too, day three same food as day one however it was watery eggs, and cold sausage and really not worth eating. Overall, not the best experience, but you don't know until you try.

Not a whole lot of cover on the platform, so if it's wet or windy or cold, I'd suggest waiting in the garage until the train gets ready to leave.
