When we purchased Stonehurst, a historic home and bed & breakfast in Midtown Atlanta, we wanted to…read moremake sure our planned extensive renovation was not only true to the historic nature of the 1896 home but also met Southface and Earthcraft House's green building standards. In working with re:FORM we found an essential partner - their experience with historic home renovation and expertise working with the Georgia State Historic Preservation Division to ensure we received historic tax credits was invaluable. Collaborating with us from re:FORM was owner and award-winning architect Stacie Monroe, who beautifully coordinated our design and build ensuring that the result exceeded Earthcraft standards. Stacie handled the exterior architecture and her partner Erin Christman worked with us on the successful incorporation of modern touches inside the home. With re:FORM's help we were able to include important eco-friendly improvements like icynene whole-house insulation, solar panels for generating hot water, and state-of-the-art water harvesting and grey water systems without sacrificing any of our home's character defining features. It took him 2-3 weeks in between every round of comments. The plans were sloppy, mislabeled, and generally not well thought out. It took him 5 months to deliver crap plans, which caused our entire project to be delayed. Every other architect I spoke with said they could have turned a set of drawings in 2 months. He has never acknowledged the delay, never offered an apology, and has never taken any accountability for his terrible performance. Do not use this firm.

What really stood out was their efficiency. They finished the project much faster than we expected and kept everything moving smoothly while still delivering great quality. Dee and Koral also take real ownership of their work. They stand behind what they do and don't disappear after the project finishes, which gave us a lot of peace of mind. They were always available, helped us with the design, product selection, and purchases, and made the whole process much easier.
