What a nice little playground in the middle of the city. My daughter walked around and around and…read morefound all the little corners of the playground. Loved walking over the bridge (and of course under) watch out tho, we noticed that it does get a little slippery with the gravel on it. We were suppose to buy an ice cream but when we came up to the cafe no one was there. Then my kids started fighting so we left. haha. If you find yourself on the south side with kids then try this nice playground. I can't say much about the history because I didn't have time to read the sign. Next time tho, cause I'm sure it'll be a next time.

So it was with a little happy 4-y/o friends kid accompanied by us, 3 adults (at least on paper I…read moreguess) that we arrived to Aquaria to see the shark-feeding mentioned on their homepage at 11:00. In the cashier charged all of us, including the little 4 y/o 440kr in total. Woooow!!! We were a little late so we were told to go in by the back entrance so we could see the shark feeding. I saw myself running through rooms for 5-10mins just to get there in time. But that was wrong, it's a 10s walk to the tank. The little room was packed with kids all excited so we had to squeeze us in close to the glass in order to see something. The feeding was a flop because you had to be in the so called glass tunnel (this looked massive on internet but was only like a meter long) which basically fit a handful of kids so most didn't see much. Few minutes later and it was finished. So what else was here but the 10m long aquarium? Well a few with jellyfishes, some exotic fishes, 2 starfishes and a couple of cute seahorses. Next room was much smaller and had a mini waterfall with some salmons in it and lots of vegetation, not much to see. There was a tropic room which was warm and humid with basically nothing much to see. But at least it looked cool walking in a jungle for 15m's around the room. Then there was 2 small containers with farmed salmons from 1-2 year which swam in a circle. Last it was a frog room (held in a 20 square meters) which was kinda exciting to see if you could find the different frogs. If you stretch it, you could spend 20-25mins and that is basically what you get for 440kr for 3.5ppl. If you have time go down to Copenhagen (actually just outside the airport) and you will see a real aquarium instead of this sad place. Or even go and see any of the free fish zoo-stores in Stockholm and have a nicer time. In the end you can spend the 440kr on a nice lunch with a beer or something which will fill you up and make you happy. Aquarium, it's a joke.

It's not a great value for money venue in my opinion. The toilets are rancid (I'll leave it there), poor coffee shop and staff seem both uninterested in the customers and the fish. When you walk in, you enter a rain forest with a cool wooden bridge and fish and water life under you. Great sound effects and a good experience. After that it just goes down hill. Overall, not a great venue or experience. Only worth a visit on a rainy day or with people your not interested in impressing.

We went there around midsummer time, which is a magical time of year in the Nordic countries because it never fully gets dark. We were in Stockholm visiting and just kind of winging it with plans for the evening. We were on a water taxi and saw Gruna Lund in the distance- the crazy swing ride caught our eye and we knew we had to go. We got to Gruna Lund around 7PM so still full daylight. Since we got there only a few hours before closing time, we were offered 50% off on our tickets plus the ride pass included with entry. It was still early enough in the summer that Stockholm was not yet flooded with tourists and it was a pretty cold day so the park was not very crowded. It was the best part of my trip to Stockholm. The rides are actually insane. I'm a roller coaster junkie and this place blows any US park away!

For me the entire place felt 'dated' and a bit shabby (although many things may have been referbished since my last visit). But I am from the Midwest, and amusement parks and carnivals are everywhere here. I don't know how many amusement parks like Gröna Lund actually exist in Europe, but however many, I have only been to 4 of them: 1). - TIVOLI in Copenhagen (which may be the BEST Amusement Park in the world), - 2). - PRATERSTERN in Vienna (which is actually a grand old fashioned amusement park with a classic look, and "Top New Rides", - 3). - OCTOBERFEST IN BERLIN: a once a year carnival run mostly by volunteers, (which I thought made things happy & fun). Most of the "Actors" were teenagers with a lot of energy, who probably looked forward to this gig all year long: because really, what could be better than jumping out of a "spook-box" on the "Scary Ride", and frightening some child so traumaticly that they scream and pee their pants. Now That's Livin'. and my mother took me to... 4). - AN AMUSEMENT PARK IN SPAIN when I was 12, which scores right about at the bottom, mostly because it felt dangerous, which Gröna Lund never did. Showers, sauna, etc. are clean and always working. In a way it feels like this place is more for bouldering than lead or top roping, but you can do all three. They change routes and boulder problems with regularity, which is great

The smaller brother of the Telefonplan location. This is quite a bit smaller than the other…read morelocation. There is probably about 33% of the bouldering routes as in the Telefonplan location. Of course there is rope climbing: top-roping and lead climbing as well. Still, it's a nice gym with nice changing rooms with showers, a cafe, etc. One nice thing about this location is that the gym (ie where the weights and etc are located) is larger. It doesn't have a true water fountain, just a sink (if you can't tell, I'm grasping for informative information here). Its not the flagship location, but it's nice if you live closer to it and probably the community is a bit smaller so you might get to know everyone a little better. It's definitely a place I would recommend climbing. Get there before 17.00 on the weekdays for a cheaper day pass!
