For starters, the bunker location is very cool and gets the adrenaline going on arrival. The equipment is great, not too much gear and the hand held guns are easy to operate. There is also a variety of games you can play. We did a round of every man/woman for themselves, which was a great start and good to get to know the location. We then went on to complete a group mission. This involved cracking codes, climing into dark sand filled rooms, a team against team round and more! My personal highlight was abseiling down into the dark second level of the bunker with only a gasmask and a camera on my helmet, hoping my team would tell me the right way to go (which they did very well!). Definately got a rush! I'll definately be going back. And for all you women out there, it's not just a guys thing. As a women, I had a ball and those with me did too. So don't be shy! p.s. I recommend to all take comfortable clothing so you can move well, nothing too warm because you sweat alot and nothing white because you'll light up in the blacklight and get dirty anyway. Enjoy!!!

YES, BEACH BARS!!!!…read more So, I understand why Berliners like their beach bars, cuz they live in Berlin Coming from California, this idea of a beach-style bar is still new to me. I understand it tho, and dig it too. Minus 1 star for overpriced beer. Other than that this place is awesome. Really cool vibe here, totally relaxed, they even have janky-ass chairs made from 24s and old beer crates. A BIG plus about this particular beach bar is that it's somewhat secluded and so there are NO buildings to be seen. Only trees, sand, and the bar area, it takes you right out of the city, even if only for a lil while Def cool too that there is volleyball to watch, and I'm certainly glad there are people playing, cuz, shit, when I sit down with a beer here, the last thing I want to do is jump around and hit a ball over a net (and poorly at that). The best time is just before sunset, in the summer, when the sky gets orange, and you can sit along the looooong wooden bench by the volleyball squares. All of the scheduling is done through an online portal, (what is the deal with Germans wanting you to call to schedule an appointment...seriously) and are conducted in German or English. This was a godsend for me as I was not sure if I could manage enough German to get through an entire session on a reformer. Happily, Arianne is a California girl who can switch between the two languages seamlessly. When I tried to explain, I was told: "You're lucky you live here and not in America." That kind of comment is unprofessional, inappropriate, and frankly, disgusting. And to top it all off, they deleted my previous review -- silencing my voice instead of addressing the feedback. Holmes Place doesn't care about you as a person. We decided to take a little break from touristing around Berlin to read our books in Viktoriapark! And it turned out to be one of my favorite places we explored on our short trip to Berlin! Viktoriapark opened in 1894 and contains a famous Berlin landmark - a cast iron monument dedicated by King Frederick William III of Prussia to the liberation wars fought at the end of the War of the Sixth coalition against France in the course of the Napoleonic Wars. The park also contains a beautiful (but totally artificial) waterfall that begins at the foot of the monument and continues down the hillside to the intersection of Grossbeerenstrasse and Kreuzbergstrasse. We walked along the paths running parallel to the waterfall to the top where the monument is - and stopped several times to take pictures of the beautiful park. After we reached the top, we walked to the open field area just off the monument where hundreds of people were reading, playing with dogs, playing Frisbee, drinking, smoking, etc. It definitely seemed like a place where young locals spend time on the weekend! The park is beautiful! Definitely worth exploring - and I found relaxing and reading my book to be the perfect break from touristing around the city! I highly recommend exploring the park if you're looking for a relaxing break from being a tourist!!

The front desk members were really friendly and accommodating, and went out of their way to make sure we were taken care of. We were offered a towel and chilled bottle of water to get started, and they also helped us set up our bikes for the first time. The actual class, led by Malin (seriously the most energetic fitness instructor I've ever had), got my heart pumping right away. Malin was great at pushing us to work harder and her enthusiasm made the class fly by. Most of the classes here are taught in German (obviously), but Malin's class is taught in English. Afterwards, a staff member was waiting with chilled eucalyptus towels, which were really refreshing after sweating so much. They also offer a fully-stocked shower room, with plenty of fluffy towels, high-quality shampoo and conditioner, hairspray, makeup remover, deodorant, lotion, and hair dryers. Amazing staff, awesome workout, great amenities. I would definitely come back here for a ride next time in Berlin!

What RideBerlin does better than any spin studio that I have been to is its customer service…read more Either Kirill (sp?) or Tyl (sp?) are always on site to make sure everything runs smoothly. Your bike settings and weights are recorded in their system so everything is always set up when you show up to the studio. Bottles of water and shoes are included with each class. The water station even has bubbly (oh Europe :-)). Every workout is topped off with a scented moist towel. Facilities (lockers, showers, etc.) are top notch. They have done everything here to make sure that all you have to do is show up in your workout clothes. Pricing is expensive for Berlin but very reasonable compared to any studio in the US. They also have a number of different packages to enable anyone to ride. I can not say enough about how great the team and owners are here. Some of their instructions will differ from flywheel and soulcycle. Really not that important. You'll still walk out needing a shower. :-)
