I left out one star because anytime I call there is clearly lack of phone help and there is always a very long wait, about 10-20 minute hold times. While at my appointment I also witnessed the desk girl trying to handle checking out patients and the phones and people seemed frustrated as again they were waiting for the calls to be dealt with. In turn the girls at the desk seemed stressed and short from my observation. Why not hire another girl to help with the huge overflow of call inundating the desk. Other than that, I like having my doctor's office 2 miles from home and they draw blood right there in the office. Huge plus!!!

I called the office and was told that there was a patient on the other line, can I please hold? No problem, finish with them and I'll wait my turn. After a few minutes, the person picked up and asked, "Can I help you?". As the words are coming out of my mouth, she interrupts me and says "Oh, a patient just walked in please hold." Yeah, okay. I can wait another two minutes for them to be acknowledged and I can then make my appointment. Eleven minutes later, I get a "Hello, how can I help you?". Before I speak, the person picks up the other line to answer, leaving me speaking to no one once again. Then she got back to me and took my information after I was on the line for over sixteen minutes. So my experience today really kind of sucked. I hope this is an isolated incident, which is why the star review is higher than is warranted. Maybe it's just a crazy day, someone called in sick, etc. It happens. However, good customer service should never leave a client feeling ignored. Had I gotten a "I'm so sorry." or "Thank you for being so patient." or anything like that, I'd feel much better about my experience today.

Once when I went to see him, I had a very rough condition that would have cost me a great hardship just to get the prescription for it filled. But he had been hoarding free samples from pharma companies, just happened to have the one I needed, and he was able to give me 2/3 of the scrip at the office, no extra charge. It made the difference to spare me what could have been a few more days of misery, had I not had the partial scrip when I walked out of the office. For that one act alone, Dr. Tyler, you shall forever have a gold star by your name. I also liked that he didn't scoff at herbal remedies and actually tailored his advice to work in conjunction with them - it's a very rare MD that will do that, ever.

And I'm a 22 year old MALE! When I voiced my opinion of my problems he WAVED HIS HAND AT ME and said "Don't..." I had to insist on a referral to a GI, which is the ONE positive outcome of this visit. When warranted he refers his patients to specialists who have more expertise in the required field. He has been very supportive, caring and assesses both the patient's physical and emotional criteria without being intrusive. The room where I waited was clean and organized, and they had some calming music playing which helped a bit. The assistant asked some questions and wrote down the responses while explaining a couple of things to expect. They seemed attentive and aware of what was going on around them. The doctor came in and had a calm tone which made it easier to explain things. We talked about a few recent changes I've been feeling and they made a few notes while asking clarifying questions. They didn't seem in a rush and actually waited for my full answer before speaking again. They shared some insights and what might be affecting my situation. I liked that they didn't claim to have all the answers right away and left room for follow up. It was a solid experience and the people working there gave off a respectful attitude without being too formal.
