All right. I had a ring made at a competitor, let's call them "Flennons," that I wasn't satisfied…read morewith. I had another gem that I wanted reset/remade into a different ring, so I decided to give Cunningham a try. First impression when you walk in is that the place is small and very clean. I wasn't looking to buy anything from the case, and I can't comment on their stock. I was greeted by Brian Cunningham, and I explained what I wanted and showed him pictures of my inspiration. Basically the task was to take a crappy yet sentimental ruby out of a ring from Plumb Gold and set it in a more simple, modern band. Brian - super helpfully - looked at the pictures, said he could save me money by melting the gold from the ring down himself, fashion a band with a new bezel, and reset the stone. Um, WHAT?! I was blown away. At "Flennons" when I asked for and described and showed pictures of the ring I would like to have, the salesperson plopped down a huge catalogue of settings, went through it, and gave me the closest approximation. Essentially not custom at all, that took two full weeks, with a $700 cost to boot. $700 for being somewhat satisfied is kind of bullsh*t. Brian fabricated something brand new, that was EXACTLY what I wanted, that took maybe five days and cost $125. I will never shop at another jewelry store again.

The Cunninghams are honest and have the trust of myself and my colleagues. There offer…read moreexceptionally good prices both when selling or buying. I have had custom sterling silver rings made for my siblings (from some silver left by our parents). We were all very happy. I recommend paying a visit when considering jewelry purchase.

What a dishonest place! this one deserves ZERO stars…read more Brought in an expensive engagement ring to be polished. They took a grinder or some sort of material-removing tool to the side of the band and destroyed the ring! They ground so close to the diamonds on the Pave band that another jeweler later tells me 2 of them might fall out soon. I was in rush and after they "polished it", I ran out the door to run errands at my office so I didn't notice anything at first. I only noticed when I opened and looked at it later. When I saw, I drove right back to their store and complained to their owner, MELISSA, in about an hour since I first was there. They all started DENYING DOING ANYTHING TO THE RING! Are you serious? And they said I have no proof since I left and came back with the ring an hour later. My sister was there with me and saw how I gave them the ring, and how I got it back. My brother earlier in the day saw the ring too before they destroyed it. It's not like there are no witnesses to prove that it was not like that before they handed it to me! Melissa said "we can prove it, watch our camera footage" and "that we aren't usually allowed to show to our customers". The camera was zoomed out so far and at some points the corner of the room gets blocked by cabinets so you can't see what the ladies were doing with the ring. Obviously they didn't just inspect it, they definitely took abrasive machines to it To make things worse, still denying they ever did anything to the ring, they asked how they could make things right. They offered $600 off a ring band they had in stock that looked similar to mine, and that they can take of the main diamond off the ruined ring and make this new ring. They were offering me to buy from them, ((another sign they set this all up to make an extra sale from me!!! )) And PROMISED me by tomorrow (next day) they could do that. I had no choice since the day after I was going to drive out to a different state for my proposal. Next day they call and I'm expecting them to say "we finished your ring". But no. They said we apologize we weren't able to make your ring like we said, something about the prongs being too big on the band blah blah blah. I ended up having to come take my original ring back that thankfully they did not start taking apart yet. They couldn't even look me in the eyes. And said "I hope you have a great rest of your day" HOW can I have a great rest of my day when I have to leave to propose the next day and have a destroyed ring to propose with!!!! I ended up having to shop at a whole bunch of local jewelers, and Royal Jewelers in the mall were of great help, said this is not the first time they heard of Lennons WB Wilcox ruining jewelry!!! I cannot believe a place like this is still in business. Even if this "apple" looks good on the outside and is rotten in the inside, it's only a matter of time before this business falls apart and rots completely. I expect an APOLOGY from Lennon's WB Wilcox Jewelers on Commercial Drive. In addition to that, I expect Melissa the owner to FIRE whoever destroyed my ring and was lying about not doing anything to it. I have a feeling it was the young blonde lady that handled the ring, but it could have been someone else I don't know for sure. [In the photo I circled the people I had interacted with there]. You cannot have people shopping here trusting you with such valuable and expensive gifts when you have such dishonest and horrible employees. You have my number Melissa and I'll be waiting for a call! The only positive of all this is that I didn't let anything stop me, and the day after I drove out to propose, and she said YES:) DO NOT TRUST THIS PLACE with any jewelry, I would not wish anything close to the horrible experience I had here!!!!!!!!!

For example, my bf bought me a diamond promise ring and five months later the diamond fell out of the mount. Luckilly, I was able to find the diamond and brought it to Littman Jewelers expecting them to repair it free of charge since they guarantee their jewelry on their web site for one-year from purchase with a receipt. Apparently, they cover it but at the buyer's expense. They charged me $78 to put the diamond back in. It's scary to know you can spend a lot of money for a ring and they can glue the diamonds in and they continue to make money when the jewelry starts falling apart. I tried calling and e-mailing customer service, but they said they only guarantee mounting faults. I tried explaining that the diamond fell out of the mount which sounds like a mounting manufacturing issue to me. They didn't like my answer and customer service never returned that email. The ring is still at the store because I refuse to pay for their shotty crafmanship. If you are looking to purchase fine jewelry...go anywhere else.
