The guy that runs it is fantastic, and really great coach too if you want lessons. They have a nice putting practice green and a clubhouse/pro shop with tons of stuff in there... They rent pull carts if you want them and they even have golf carts that are really reasonable too (who wants to lug their clubs all around ;) We had a thresome playing and had such fun and liked the course so much we came back again early and played again before we headed home. ONE TIP... do not use WAZE, or even Apple Maps to find it. or it will take you down this road called Sarrar Rd which runs into a dirt road BEHIND The course... not to the clubhouse. Just DO NOT TURN ONTO Sarrar... Stay on the main road (Cherry) and it leads to WOODHAVEN DR and their sign, beyond Sarrar... it is so weird but do not follow the GPS blindly, or you will not get there .

Being a mature course it has some rough spots on 2 tee boxes and some broken pavement on the cart paths......but no worse than any other older course and it has no affect on play.... Greens are in fantastic shape....fairways leave your ball begging to be hit.... Rough is thick but fair and its your job to stay out of it....not the longest course but well bunkered and has water to protect it....

I found Crims Golf online and gave Leland a call. He spent at least an hour more, like an hour and a half, analyzing my swing, using his swing meter, and taking into account my age, which is 60+. Leyland fit me with an affordable set of new clubs with the correct degree of loft for my height and swing. I couldn't be happier with the set of irons I received. We hit the timing right during "happy hour" from 9AM to 11AM and get 153 balls for $10. The temperature was around 40 degree's but the tee boxes had choices of open air or a heated and covered option. With two tiers, there is plenty of room to hit. Wade does a great job showing you what you are doing wrong and helping you fix it. We have made a lot of improvements already in 3 lessons on my irons and driver. He didn't have any customers and ignored me while I stood in front of him. When Mark finished with a customer Cliff told him to help me. Once I chose my grips I told him I wanted to set an appointment to buy some new irons. He pointed to Cliff and said he was the one who does the fitting. Cliff looked at me and said, "Women do not need to be fitted. Only men. Men require different shafts, club weights.... women don't need any of this." I said, "Huh, that's unfortunate. I still want to be fitted." Cliff looked at his calendar and set an appointment for 3 weeks out. Then he came around from behind his counter and stood eye to eye with me. He asked me how tall I was and I told him 5' 6 1/2. (I was wearing flip flops). We were the same height and I suspect my arms were longer. I wish I had said to him, "huh, I suppose you were not fitted and you play with women's clubs." My father was an All American at Duke in Basketball and football. I've been athletic all my life but I reckon women all fit into the same box when it comes to Cliff. He mentioned he had been fitting clubs for people for 50 years. In my opinion he has been fitting men for 50 years. And, from my experience he has most likely been disrespectful and misogynistic towards women for 50 years. Will never go back and my golf pro instructor will not recommend him again.
