    Cockroach
    M C.

The Family and I come to this area every year . We usually stay at the Marriott resort. We wanted to try something different . What a sh*****t show ... This place was Nasty!!! As soon as we opened the door and walked into the living room, we find a big cockroach, after that we fine several more running around ,( That's a infestation problem.. Both bathrooms were dirty Hair on the floor and shower, we go to the rooms and pull up the sheet and we fine hair as well , The A/C and the mini fridge in the master bedroom dont work .we go to the kitchen and open some cabinet doors and fine mice dropping. So we call the Property management to see if they can resolve the problem . They say we will send somebody to freshen up . 10 mins later they show up with a can of Roch spay and supply to clean the bathrooms less then 3 mins they were out and said they were done .. lol I got to the kitchen and the mice dropping where just push out to the floor from the cabinets . There where just going to leave that sh!!!!!t on the floor . I had to tell them to clean it up .. Hands down one of the worst place to stay Nasty!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!¡¡!!!!!!!

So disappointed with the lack of upgrade in the 2 bedroom Villa. 1st day, arrive with lots of notice on "if" we lose any pool towels we would be fined $25 each (mind you these towels have multiple stains on them and are in poor shape, we used our own beach towels due to how old and gross these looked). 2nd day- We noticed a pile of dead bugs in the master bedroom near the French doors, was hard to see due to the tiles being a dark brown color...but they were bugs alright!! Yuck!!! My husband spent the time to vacuum the entire 1300sq ft villa just in case. Our 5yo almost stepped on the pile of bugs while playing... They offered to spray "raid" and a maintenance guy stopped by after we had cleaned up. Smh. The day before we checked out we received an email asking for a "to do" list by us... Put a load of white towels in the wash, run the dish washer with dirty dishes, take the trash out to the trash bins (outside near the parking lot while it was almost 120 degrees on day and average of 115 degrees during our stay)! List goes on and on...yet charges the guest $150 departure cleaning fee. Hmm who's actually doing half of the cleaning before we need to check out? Ridiculous. If you are expecting a high end stay don't bother. The villas need a major upgrade on all furniture, and bathroom tiles etc. Sofa and dining chairs are so old and dirty I used the white queen size sheet to put over our sofa, to somewhat feel ok to sit on it during our stay. Pools are heated over 80 degrees all day, it's an issue because it was over 110-120 even at night. It was unbareable and multiple families were complaining and left like we decided to, not the smartest move when it's peak summer season. Online photos are def nicer than in person. Unfortunately, we will not be returning. Don't charge your guests a cleaning fee if you're requesting they do half of the cleaning for you

SUCH A BEAUTIFUL COMMUNITY. Came here to check out a property this past week. This resort area is right under the mountains and has the most stunning views. There are so many restaurants nearby and the whole surrounding area gives off such a nice aura. The architecture is beautiful and the pools look so relaxing. The gate staff was incredibly friendly - but the views of everything is unmatched!

We stayed here on short notice, getting away to celebrate our engagement. It was so lovely. Our villa was clean, beautifully appointed and perfectly located. Our bed was beyond comfortable. Slept like babies. We had a patio where we enjoyed our meals and our location was very private. The clubhouse and pools were just down the garden path, past orange trees and vine covered archways. We spent our days floating in the pools and working/resting in the cabanas. Such perfect bliss. We are already planning our next stay. So very pleased. Highly recommend

Title: Beautiful hotel - but a confirmed booking was suddenly withdrawn…read more I truly wanted to love this hotel. In fact, I still wish our stay there had worked out. For context: every two years, I donate my time to mentor a small group of aspiring photographers who fly in to work with me for about a week. It's a non-profit initiative that continues the legacy of my own mentor when I was a teenager. For the upcoming workshop, we planned to start with two days around the Salton Sea, and this hotel looked like a wonderful fit. After some research, we contacted the hotel and asked if they could match an offer we had received for this hotel from the German travel portal HRS for five double rooms (two beds per room) for $1,848 all-inclusive for two nights, including breakfast. It was slightly above our budget, but we were willing to make it work. The sales manager replied: "I think I can work with you on the rate. I just want to make sure a single king-size bed in each room is ok and if 6 rooms will be enough for your group." We confirmed that arrangement, adjusted our group so most participants would share beds for the two nights, and accepted the sixth room offered to accommodate everyone. We then: - confirmed the booking - received and returned the credit card authorization form - drove to the hotel to inspect the property in person - cancelled the alternatives we had on hold Two days later, we received another message from the hotel explaining that the rate had been misunderstood internally -- it had been read as $1,848 per night rather than for the two-night stay. Unfortunately, despite a long email exchange, the hotel ultimately declined to honor the arrangement and suggested we look elsewhere. The result: we had to restart the search on short notice, and I will now make another 500-mile round trip to inspect the replacement hotel. That was disappointing, especially because the property itself looked lovely and we were genuinely excited about staying there. Mistakes can happen in any business. What matters is how they are handled. In this case, the solution was to ask the customer to absorb the consequences. If you plan to stay here, I would recommend confirming rates and all conditions very carefully, particularly since they upcharge a resort rate - and when scouting it, it felt like a very nice small boutique hotel to me, far away from a resort (which was fine to me, as we were looking for a place to sleep and leave after breakfast ;-)

Veronica provided us a lovely view suite with the comforts of home. Lots of the pool chairs looked like they've seen better days as well as hallways and other common areas. The thing that was the most off putting is the pool seems like it's turned into a public pool. No key card is needed, no one is watching the door... anyone can walk in. I definitely noticed a lot of people who seemed to be using the pool that weren't staying at the hotel. Overall, I rather stay at other Marriott properties. The extra money isn't worth staying here.

I own numerous shirts, shorts, and other Tommy Bahama garments. The staff is very unrefined and even came across totally uninterested in helping (at the front desk) and bored. Bar staff having loud personal conversations while ignoring bar patrons. All in all, it just didn't feel like a high-end resort, and there was a general lack of care and attentiveness across the board. A manager checked in with us during our dinner, at which point I communicated that we had been provided no forks for our dessert--and the response was something akin to "I ALWAYS get on them about this!" or "I have to remind them over and over..." So this was apparently a common issue. Again, front desk employees don't care--there was no explaining that there are bikes available to guests or citrus to pick and get juiced. Not welcoming. And barely acknowledged me when I dropped the keys off as I checked out. WiFi was bad in the room--but front desk didn't pick up when I called. Also poor cell service on the property. The food was good and the property looks lovely. Room was nice. Although you could see the bathroom door was swelled from water damage. And that looks tacky. It feels like there's a lack of good candidates for staffing in the desert. And perhaps poor training. I want to feel like the staff wants to be there. Pretend and help keep up the illusion. Both my girlfriend and I left feeling a bit disappointed--and seeing the cracks in the illusion.

The impact on his leg broke open his skin and his leg was gushing blood out of his right leg. We immediately applied towels and pressure and went to Eisenhower Urgent Care. We were then see by an ER nurse and she applied a pressure wrap to stop the bleeding. We later returned to the hotel and a Security Agent came to take a report of the accident. We left the hotel early the next morning to get home to see our physician as my husband's leg was swelling and it looked like an infection was beginning to set in. My husband was put on antibiotics by IV and then oral antibiotics for 10 days. He has had to return to the doctor several times now. We have talked to Mike Rodrigues, the Senior Director of Security at the hotel. He said we would be called by the hotel management. We never heard a thing. We called several times asking about returning our 2 night refund on the nights we didn't use. They only wanted to give us a credit and not refund our Amex card. I finally called Amex to help. They said the hotel would still charge me resort fees and taxes on the days not used if I insisted on a refund. I explained that is not right. I wanted a refund including taxes. This hotel has a safety issue with their bed frame design and they treat their customers poorly. I love the grounds and the employees but upper management needs to respect their customers with showing some kindness in the fact that our entire vacation was ruined by their poorly designed furniture and their choices for not offering any compensation and recognition for financial loss and pain and suffering. We are 79 years old and were looking forward to this week of enjoyment with friends. We are a 40 year supporter of La Quinta and the Coachella Valle
