This school is absolute crap. So, me personally I go here and it sucks. My parents don't agree with the school dress code policy as much as I do. There are also many other things that people don't know like kids being racist. Then the school says they'll take care of it and yet they don't. Now today when I was at school my teacher said that we have a dress code for hair? I absolutely did NOT agree. I have blue pieces of hair that my mom spent almost 7 HOURS dying my hair to just hear my teacher say that I can't have my hair dyed and it has to be natural. Also did I mention that she said I have to study for half an hour before I use the bathroom when having to go really bad. This school has mental issues. read more

This school is an absolute joke. The computer teacher, Ms. Kelch, has been verbally abusive to my niece and other students. The front desk lady, Nancy, is hands down the rudest person I've ever had to deal with she doesn't help, she doesn't care, and she would rather get smart with you than actually handle the urgent reason you're calling. My niece was given a glitched school computer, and instead of fixing it, they've refused to help. You cannot get a principal on the phone not for this, not for anything. They hide behind emails and avoid accountability while kids are being mistreated. I am now having to involve my attorney because this school clearly doesn't care about children's well-being. First day of school and it was nothing by choas and confusion. Parents and students had no direction. We watched a child walk up to a teacher and say, im in 3rd grade and im lost. Teacher didn't even help or find him help. Thank goodness we were there to help guide this poor child. Pick up even worst. I was hit by another vehicle so watch out for your vehicles. I didnt catch the plate number and police wouldn't come out. But I have attached photo for others to be aware. We will be looking for a different school. read more

I went here for a while and the administration never handles anything if you had issues with other students or teachers, I had some issues with other students that caused serious problems... when my parents had come in, they didn't really do anything but put a small investigation on the incident. My children have been attending Legacy Phoenix since 2021. I've never had any issues whatsoever. The teachers and staff are great. It is academically challenging but the teachers are always willing to help and make sure they are doing what they can to set our children up for success. The administrators are nothing less than amazing. They are very involved on campus. They are always friendly and happy to help! read more

So far I have a nice experience at this school, some downsides but I really like it here!

Teachers attention to the students. Teachers laughing at my daughter and not doing anything to help while she was hurt at the moment and ignored her request of going to the nurse or calling me. 1 full packet of homework per night is pretty insane for the class level, no instructions or anything for parents to help at home and when we tell the school/teachers some wasn't able to get completed due to difficulties they don't care and deduct points on the students. A lot of bullying goes very often and up to date nothing still has been done or actions taken to fix any issues. Kids wake up nervous just knowing they have to go deal with that and don't have the teachers back then it comes to it. read more

This school is terrible. I don't even know where to start - the pickup/drop off is absolute chaos as other reviewers have mentioned. They teach Spaulding Phonograms and will NOT help you with resources on how to help your child with it or even help your child when they ask for help. I reached out by e-mail for help and got no response. It's such a dated method that there's barely any information out there about the Spaulding Method. My child's teacher quit in the first week, and the school kept rotating substitutes through the class for over two months. During that time the children were out of control and no one would step in and discipline the kids who were disrupting the classroom despite complaints from multiple parents. My child witnessed serious physical fights, young children using racial slurs, talking about sex, and more, in front school staff with no intervention. The assistant principal assured me on two occasions that she would observe my child's classes, and she never did. When I complained to the principal about bullying, he provided me a generic bullying form to fill out and I did, but I knew it would be a waste of time. I ultimately pulled my child out of the school, as there was zero resolution to any of the issues above. read more

I want to leave 5 stars but the traffic and drop off/pick up is absolutely trash. They really need to figure it out. I spent one hour and a half dropping my kid off and one hour picking her her up. If this is what the process will be like all year then I rather change her schools. read more

My daughter has attended Legacy since Kinder and is now in 3rd grade. Legacy has a great academic curriculum. The homework expectations can be a bit of an overload. My daughter called me crying today because of a school shooting threat.I asked my daughter what happened and she informed me that her friend received a threat from a account and posted it on her story.My daughter explained the situation and said that the student is getting suspended for posting the threat on her story.i do not support the student's decision yet the student had every right to post on her story.The student took precautions and yet better safe to be sorry!.Do I think it was the right decision no but the student could possibly save the lives of many children for posting that! I yet to think the punishment isn't right for the student and should be investigated and taken care of it properly.The student doesn't deserve to be suspended I'm yet grateful the student did such as post the threat on her story! Legacy dose not take time to review things properly and is there just for the money as well my daughter complains about heat and mold on the vents.Legacy is not a good place for your kids.if there was a 0 star choice I would absolutely leave a 0 star. read more

This is the worst Legacy campus! Thank you for the update. It saddens me that the admin in charge would shift blame and state that their was conflicting stories. The only conflict is that nothing had been communicated nor followed up after speaking with admin. I received the run around. I took for me to physically come into the office for any follow ups because Mr.Brink and Mr. Reed would tell me that they'd be following up with in within the next couple of days. No one did! I have been very patient. The week would end and I still hadn't received any follow ups so I would take out of my time and go in that following Monday. My child has been mentally exhausted and broken down. Admin even confirmed that my child didn't say much. I asked that I'd be able to sit in when they spoke with her because she suffers from anxiety. She is very soft spoken and will clam up/shut down under pressure or if she feels uncomfortable. My child hide the fact that this young lady had been harassing her since the 2nd day of school because she wanted other kids to be her friend and didn't want to upset anyone. I let Mr. Brink, Mr. Reed, and Mrs.Morales know all of this. I was told by Mrs.Morales that she observed both girl's playin the playground in different areas and that everything appeared normal. I asked my child everyday how her day went and if she had been bothered that day and the young lady wasn't even at school on the day Mrs. Morales told me she observed them. The young lady has bullied my daughter in class when Mr.Brink is preoccupied. She's even keep other kids from talking to my daughter as if she doesn't exist. The other bullying has occurred when they are in line and in music/specials. My child even pointed out the bruising and scratches from the young lady scratching her on the wrist and hand, kicking her in her shin, and stomping on my child's bare foot after she lifted my daughter's leg, removed her shoe, and refused to give it back. She held my daughter's shoe above her head and mocked her. Since the school nor the district has protected my child I asked Mrs. Morales and Mr. Reed at that point should I be pressing charges against the young lady for physically assaulting my child? I'm not sure what the next steps/course of action should be. Mr. Brink has humiliated my child on numerous occasions and I also brought forth those concerns as well as asked my that my child be moved classrooms. He himself is a trigger for her. It got to the point that my daughter wouldn't even turn in her homework due to the fact that he'd prejudge her. During homework turn in he'd single my daughter out and confront her in front of the whole class by saying, " let me guess, you didn't do your homework again?". In fact, she did do the work to the best of her ability but hoarded it in her backpack because she was embarrassed because all the other students would be staring at her after she was called out publicly. This is really a shame that my child and I have to relive this experience over and over and continue to be challenged with no resolution, compassion, or empathy. I guess my child is just another statistic. The fact that her teacher verbally told me that my child frustrates him because she doesn't speak up is disturbing to me. It tells me that the staff is not equipped to deal with children who suffer from mental health, anxiety, low self esteem, learning disabilities, or lack social skills. In fact, he didn't even care any my child's academic success nor did her IEP teacher Ms.Holly. I hadn't even received any communication from Mr. Brink until I reached out 3 times about my child's progress. He didn't even have me included on the parent blast. Ms. Holly didn't update me until the Friday that Fall break started at 6:30 pm. So please tell me where I went wrong? Please tell me how this is justified and excepted? M.Ed Mr. Ellis from the district was no better. The follow up was untimely. I had to end up calling the district a second time due to lack of communication. Instead of calling me, I received the most generic response that indicated that my child was just another statistic. The lack of compassion and attention to detail was definitely consistent with the fact the NO ONE looked into anything! The lack there of indicated that CTRL + P (copy and paste) was all that my child was to this campus and district! Update: My daughter ended that week being admitted to PCH behavioral health department. She expressed not being enough, not being heard, nobody liking her, and just not wanting to exist anymore. I absolutely love this school! My daughter is excelling tremendously and the amount of communication that they have with the parents make things so much better! My daughter went to Litchfield elementary last year and it just wasn't the right fit! Here the teacher goes above and beyond for my daughter and I just love it! My daughter loves going to school and I would recommend it to anyone! The education and expectations they put on the children will prepare them for high school with no problem! I 'm concerned enough to remove my child in the middle of a school year. My child has be mistreated and when I went to an administrator about it, nothing was done. Communication between teachers/ administrative staff and parents is nonexistent aside from an email. However do not waste your time responding to the email as you will never hear a reply back. Bullies at this school are out of control. My daughter has received hate messages on the bathroom stalls along with a death threats in 5th grade! The administration "did an investigation and came to that conclusion they could not hold anybody responsible". I have since filed a police report with phx PD and have them involved. My son has had countless things stolen from his lunch box as well as at his desk in class. Again administration has done nothing about it. Their curriculum is good however allowing kids to have this type of behavior will do nothing for their future. Highly disappointed in this school. If I did not share 50-50 parenting with her father I would have removed my kids immediately from the school weeks ago. I do not recommend this school. read more

My children attended Avondale Legacy and we enjoyed the academic atmosphere and staff. Transferred to Phoenix and was so disappointed. The students that attend phoenix are not Legacy students. There is so much bullying and inappropriate conversation and behavior. The principal, Larissa Cuda is incompetent and horrible about managing bullying. My child, an A team basketball player and honor roll student was a target of bullying and instead of helping my child she turned it on to him. There are other parents who have had similar situations. I had high hopes for Legacy Phx. My husband and I are very involved in our children's lives and always enjoy helping at school. First, the school never even notified me that my son was accepted or gave me information about his teacher, supplies, or start dates. My sons teacher left abruptly and they replaced her with a long term sub. This lady is extremely forgetful, has missed handing out homework assignments, missed handing out pictures from picture day, forgot to send out announcements. They cancelled parent teacher conferences because the teacher left and have yet to address the issue. Don't bother calling the school because the staff at the front desk are extremely rude and always say "I don't know" to any issue. There is a severe lack of communication and professionalism. We will be transferring my son. I hope my review helps other parents avoid the headache of dealing with this particular school. read more
