When I called to complain I was put off and told it wasn't a good time to talk. They do not care about their clients and will ignore your requests for help especially after you sign for your home. Also beware that they send the worst and most inexperienced realtors out if they know you are a first time buyer looking for a home. On top of that the majority of their 4 star reviews on google have been obtained against googles policy of not soliciting 4 star reviews. These reviews were solicited by using mailers offering chances to win things if the recipient gave a 4 star review meaning they were falsely obtained. Buy from them at your own risk.

But my goodness, could they rake me over the coals with all of the fees they have. You get an automatic $30 late fee on day of rent due if it isn't there. Then they tack on $10 a day. My rent is never late, but the $50/month extra fee is as it's a bogus charge for services I don't use. This company does NOT pay for utilities, they don't do snow removal nor lawn care but yet expects your lawn to be the greenest on the block. They also would not service a dryer that is in the house as they say it isn't part of it but yet it was displayed in pictures on their rental site. I got charged $100 for them to look at the dryer and tell me it was the belt. They were going to charge me another $100 to fix it and I don't even own the dryer. Be very leary when you sign your lease and ask more questions. I was getting out of a relationship and needed to move quickly. Lesson learned.

I was also told what the property taxes had been on a property only to find out the amount was only for 6 months half of what it really cost. $1500.00 was suddenly $3000.00. They partnered with Select builder who build defective homes only to refuse to honor warranty and keep switching lawyers to avoid legal action. RICKY Jr. of Hegg promised to fix everything only to refuse to acknowledge issues. I would not recommend this real estate agency as they partner with the builders and contractors for the homes. When I asked a company to insulate my attic once I told them my address they said no. It turns out they were originally the company used to insulate the attic and knew how poorly constructed the homes were.

One of the Hegg ladies was dressed as Daphne from Scooby-Doo. She was nice to my 2 white children but made rude comments to my mixed child, about how she didn't like her hair texture. She told her her hair looked messy, like she just woke up. My daughter is learning to take care of her hair on her own, it was also very windy on Saturday. The comments this lady made, directly TO my daughter, were rude and hurtful. I will go out of my way to make sure I never do business with Hegg.
