The other guys have put me on a twice-a week visit plan where I was put through a scripted program of procedures I didn't need. With Dr. Brad, I go once a month, if needed. When I pay for healthcare, I am someone that prefers the attentiveness and understanding of my issues that an independent practice provides vs. a big system provider who just reads from my last visit's notes. At every visit, I get asked what pains and stiffness i have, and Dr. Brad will ask questions about my activities until he figures out what caused it and then he'll recommend any changes I need to make to prevent the problems in the future. Then we proceed to the physical work. Every pain I've walked in with has been fixed...I sit at a desk all day for work and every little pain is the biggest distraction from completing my work. Being pain-free lets me focus easier on and enjoy everything else in life, and Dr. Brad has never failed to get me pain-free. He has shown me exercises that help prevent pains (which reduces my visits and his income, but he does it anyway), been on-call with advice over the phone and can find the source of pain with his diagnoses that I didn't knew existed (but caused radiating dull pain elsewhere). It's a crazy awesome trick that I've still not gotten used to yet. I highly recommend Avon Lake Back & Neck...Dr. Brad is someone that lives what he teaches. And if you really talk to him, you'll learn that he does this out of passion vs. a paycheck. His prices are very fair, my girlfriend does not have coverage (like I do) for chiro, so I see firsthand what he charges for several procedures...and it is always less than half our u-verse bill. From the initial consultation, to the time he took to explain treatment options; everything he did was in the absolute best interest of our son. We went with the Invisalign option, and WOW am I happy we did! 9 months and the change in his mouth is incredible. We went from being concerned about oral surgery, to everything being where it should. The assistants were always so nice and accommodating to our son; and Dr. Johnson was always available for questions. If it was possible to give more than 5 stars I would! The difference from when I had braces 30 years ago until now is night and day; coupled with the fact that Dr. Johnson uses the latest technology. Dr. Allison is a wonderful person who makes you feel comfortable and talks you through the entire process of what she is doing, the reasons she preforming whatever movements, and asks questions to make sure you feel secure in the next steps will be. Active does take insurance and offers packages to purchase if you plan on going back numerous times. The staff is incredibly sweet, welcoming, and makes you comfortable during each visit. What I do really like too is they offer texting which is helpful in scheduling appointments and reminders. It isn't an automatic service on the other line when texting, it is an actual person who answers your questions and concerns! I have been to some that were OK, some that were horrible etc. This practice has the back game on lock (as far as I'm concerned). All the staff here is very friendly and they are skilled in helping you out. The masseuse impressed me, as well as the caring etiquette and professionalism of all the staff here. This is a larger office compared to other chiro's. They have an entire space dedicated to physical therapy and there is plenty of space for all their patients here. As well as several private room's, where you see the doctor. I have never waited to be seen at this office. This doctor is the only one who can pop my disc back into place with his bare hands. Got hounded by some telemarketer Steven contracts (I refuse to call him a doctor). This service he hired got my info right after my accident and they told me I should get checked. He said this "doctor" would send me an Uber because my car was totaled. This was a scumbag marketing tact, one of many. They sent the Uber all right but then halfway there when I texted that I would have to reschedule because traffic was backed up Steven canceled the uber and told me "get your own uber back home." I decided to go bc I was almost there anyway and the poor Uber driver agreed to drop me off even though she wasn't getting paid for half the trip bc of Steve the Chiropractor canceling. I had knots in my stomach because I realized that this was a sketchy operation. Steven the Chiropractor who could not get into a legitimate medical school told me I could not bring my service dog when I told them about it beforehand because, "you'll see, the waiting area is really crowded and we had an incident with one before.... it was bad, so bad." My service dog causes less problems than people but I agree to leave my service dog at home. He is in violation of federal law by denying my service dog. See photo of how empty the waiting area was. So apparently he was telling multiple lies and violating federal law before I even got to the appointment. Tried to pressure me into getting treatment. Told me for cat accident patients he works with a lawyer aka another ambulance chaser and he got my number off public record after my accident happened and it was listed on the police report. The scam is that the this chiropractor runs up absurd bills, and then a lawyer tries to get a settlement out of the insurance company and they take the bulk of the settlement if they can get anything. If they can't, the patient is stuck with this chiropractor's bogus bills. Seemed angry and aggressive when I was reluctant to go forward. Real doctors understand bedside manner and are not chasing after ambulances. I got scared of Steven when I had questions about who would be paying for these appointments. Wanted me to come to multiple appointments 3x/week and said "the other person's insurance will pay for it, dont't worry." lol this guy speaks and lies come out of his mouth and he even cheated me out on Ubers. I'm supposed to believe him? Then the receptionist who seems equally sketchy almost like she's hypnotized tried to get me to sign contracts. I said I would look at them at home. Another secretary overheard me and told me "don't worry you won't have to pay the other person in the car accident will pay." Legitimate doctors are not this thirsty. The contract is already ripped up and in my trash. Supposedly, he was to to get me an Uber home per his telemarketer and that never happened. When I said I had to review the paperwork he said, "this disappointing appointment could have been an email you know." At this point I am just stunned... You have your Telemarketer hound me and waste my time & then keep insulting me?! I sat in his waiting room until I had to finally just get my own Uber home. Such a gentleman. Meanwhile, he lives in a 7000 square-foot house. Character is what you do when you think no one is watching. You now know what Steve does. Why would you trust him with your health? This "doctor" has no character. Maybe you should have studied harder in high school and your life would've turned out different. Complete waste of time and felt like I needed to take a shower after. I believe people now when they say chiropractors are quacks. Always knew to avoid them and now will be avoiding them going forward for sure. The medical schools that denied these oafs admission so they ended up having to go to Quack chiropractor school knew what they were doing. Don't be the reason he gets another remodel on his vacation home kitchen. He's done this to enough people.

This is how I came acorss Lifeshare. They are local blood services company that only services the NEO area. The staff is extremely friendly, and make the process of donation very quick, easy, and as painless as possible. You can set up appointments at their permanent donation sites, or see where they are having a blood drive. They can handle whole blood donations, plasma, and also double red blood cell donations - which I suggest if you've got one of the rarer blood types.

There is nothing wrong with my blood, I just produce too much. So the blood draw is to keep me from having a heart attack or stroke. My doctor called over to see if they could do it at their facility.....the response "sure we do it all the time". I called to make sure a day before I was going. I took a day off work. (because their hours are during the work day). I go in register and they tell me that yes they can do it, but it costs $50.00. I sigh and hand the woman checking me in, my debit card. She says "Oh no, it has to be cash." So I leave and (very annoyed) since nowhere in any of the previous conversations was any form of payment mentioned. I come back with the $50.00 in cash. Now we have a problem with the prescription. The office manager states that she didn't like the wording, I have to get a new one. I go back to my doctor get a new prescription. Now I get my blood drawn. The woman hands me the prescription and says bring this back with you next time. Fast forward to yesterday; I call ahead of time to make sure they can fit me in, the woman on the other end says sure, "when are you coming" and gets my info. I tell her thirty minutes and she says ok see you then. 5 minutes later, another woman calls and states my prescription is no good and I have to get another. I said, why was I given this back and told to bring it next time? She says coldly "I don't know" and nothing else but she will call my doctor and see what can be done. She calls back and states my doctor is not in and I won't be able to get my blood drawn today. Now I stated this is a chronic condition and my doctor wrote the prescription for "Therapeutic" blood draw. This will be remedied but I lose a day off work and if I had been there to give blood they can use ....... you betcha they would have taken it without hesitation to sell it to the hospital. Just very rude and DON"T CARE!
