What makes The Dojo so special is the instructors' ability to recognize that every student is different and needs something different. Sensei Norcross and the other instructors are everything you could hope for in teachers. They are incredibly knowledgeable, both in traditional techniques and original Kata as well as their modern-day application. At the same time, they never stop learning and are always open to exploring new ways of applying and teaching a technique. Most importantly, they genuinely care. That combination is rare. Having instructors who are perceptive enough to recognize what you need when you need it, and who care enough to help you get there, is something truly special. They offer a variety of styles of classes that are described on their website but are best to experience firsthand to see which one (or ones, in my case since I like them all) you like. The studio has a fun sticker program where you can earn a free cup by trying one of each style of class so make sure and ask about that. Every teacher is great and I have not found one person there that isn't welcoming and encouraging no matter what level you are in with your yoga practice. If you have considered yoga, or if you are an experienced Yogi, this studio has something for you!
