He was able to accommodate four students on rather short notice. He answered our call quickly and was very helpful before the class even started. His class was held at The Holiday Inn Express in Georgetown which offered a nice comfortable seating area for all of the students. Lance was very well versed in the law and gun safety as a whole. His class was not only educational but engaging as well. The qualification was held on a private outdoor range. The thing that I really liked about that was it wasn't crowded and offered us the ability to really concentrate on qualifying. Lance was well prepared. His educational aids (PowerPoint, posters, books, handouts, etc) were well done. He also supplied the class with coffee, soft drinks, and water throughout the morning which was definitely not a requirement but was much appreciated. I…read moream in a wheelchair, and Jorge went WAY out of his way to make me feel comfortable, and to explain the differences in terms of legal responsibilities between a "normal" person (does such even exist??) and someone with mobility issues. He included some suggestions for defense that I had not even considered, believing (mistakenly) that they were illegal. He provided me with resources for materials and services which complemented the training, and made sure I understood how and when to use them. He was patient and answered questions completely. You may have complete confidence that you will understand your rights and responsibilities when you leave. I do think, however, that he was a little surprised that an old, fat guy with one leg in a wheelchair could black out the X ring with a puny little 9mm in less than 20 rounds.

Both Lee and Raul are an excellent teachers and very knowledgeable from their respective military and law enforcement experience. The classes are informative and have lots of good detail as well as easy to understand. They brings their respective insights into the classroom and the class time went by very fast. Time on the range was good and both were present to make sure things went smoothly and make suggestions on how we were shooting. They both patiently answered questions in class and on the range. The only negative was the class was rather large (about 16 folks), but by splitting up the rooms when it went time for some hands on learning, it seemed to work just fine. No one was there so it was nice to have it to myself. Pick up your loose brass. And follow standard safety rules. My only gripe is. Yes it's "indoors" but no ac. Granted, range is only $15 as long as you bring your own gear (eye protection ear protection). So basically save two boxes of ammo coming here instead of "The gun range". Which is $35 and in town but usually a lot busier.
