We live in the Morningstar community and really like the neighborhood, but our experience with…read moreRiverside Home Builders has been disappointing. After repeated requests, Riverside declined to properly repair multiple construction defects in our home. This includes a ~12-foot span of loose tile across two first-floor hallways. Riverside proposed a lower-cost repair that does not meet industry standards, and a slab crack aligned with the loose tile is visible when adjacent carpet is removed. Additional unresolved issues include: Drainage defects causing standing water after rainfall and routine sprinkler use Water-damaged sheetrock following a roof leak that was repaired, but never fully remediated or repainted A crack in the tile at the corner of the master shower, raising concerns about moisture intrusion These issues were reported over an extended period without adequate resolution, which ultimately required us to file a Residential Construction Liability Act (RCLA) notice on October 22, 2025. We are sharing our experience so other prospective buyers can make informed decisions.

This confirms serious construction deficiencies. The builder has been made aware but is refusing to correct the problem.

A month ago found a community in Burleson that this builder was building. We went viewed the lots…read moreand model home loved everything about it. We originally picked a lot however after a couple of days was told the sq foot of the house could not be built on it so we opted for a different lot. I turned in the deposit check on 10/1 to move forward with the process advised their realtor we would like to move forward. We followed up about some questions we had then on the 3rd day of no response we got a response that the builder decided to move in a different direction and was not offering the lots any longer. This was devastating considering we had paid the deposit amount and planned on building in the community. Truly unfair practice especially since we had already wrote out the check and turned it in.

They closed us on a home with multiple pages of items that were either forgotten, not completed or subpar. Our price point of the home was $510,000 and I feel like we just bought a $200,000 home, the quality of everything from the cabinets to the paint was absolutely horrendous. They installed chipped and defective windows into our house. We're 6 weeks after closing and still have a page worth of items that need to be addressed. Contractors skipping appointments or showing up and only doing half the job is the norm and there is no accountability from anyone in the company including corporate. I have reached out several times to be ignored and never get a call back. I would strongly advise anyone to avoid the headache and misery of a Silverleaf home.

What a wonderful business, extremely nice people with great ideas. If you're looking for a great…read moreconstruction company, look no further, you can't do better than HDP. Ray, the head of the company, is extremely knowledgeable and very kind. They have an interior designer, Nohemi, that has a great eye, and we loved her design portfolio. Our budget and time frame ended up being a little tighter than we had originally hoped due to some required foundation and electrical work, so we had to scale back our project and go with a smaller business. However, we are hoping when we do our next project, which will be the kitchen, that Ray and Nohemi will be available. Would love to work with them beyond just the design phase.

YES, their were Construction delays and hiccups along they way. It's called Construction for a reason. But what we love about HDP is they stand behind their work and they are as honest and trustworthy as you get. Just incredible people. It is 2025 and we again have a few projects we want to do and some things we want updated. Ray was able to reach out to the subcontractor who worked with us during our 2016 remodel to make changes to our home security system and cameras. Seriously, almost 10 years later. We had a custom built steel gate installed in 2016. Ray still knew who built it and knew what would be involved at adding a new coat of paint. Ray also helped with moving us over to one system like Ring, Nest,or Wyze. Instead of a hodge podge of various products. This has been huge. During that process he reminded us that the new code requires 3 smoke/fire/carbon detectors. We have referred several friends to HDP and allowed individuals to tour our home and inspect his work. Because we continue to be that impressed. Last week we again gave him a long list of normal wear and tear items to more extensive projects and he submitted his review timely and accurately along with a couple suggestions. We look forward to beginning the next list of projects.
