I dropped off several pairs of heels for heel tap replacements and a pair of beloved loafers that needed a partial re-glue due to a sole separation on one shoe. The owner/operator, Mr. Corrao, accepted the shoes and provided a pickup slip and gave me a ballpark timeline for date of completion. He texted me a few weeks later to let me know pickup was ready and it was such an easy process. Prices were as expected comparable to prior repairs and saved my shoes for many more wearable years. The shoes when picked up were a slightly darker color (we discussed that, it was expected) and ready to wear. The insole clean up was decent and at least not embarrassing to wear like they would have been. Payment was due at initiation of service/when dropping off the item(s). Only downside was they weren't ready at the first date he told me for pick up. For many years we have brought shoes here to have half soles put on. Occasionally we have brought shoes in to have heels replaced. Through the years we have always been satisfied with the quality of work, the time it takes to perform the job, and the price. Of course the shoes don't look new but we wouldn't bring them in if they weren't in good shape other than the soles. Last year we learned our lesson when someone that works with my husband suggested a shoe repair shop in Frankfort. Not only was it a sloppy job but the inside of the shoe was ruined when a ripple was caused by the repairman. It was an expensive lesson but one we needed to learn. It instilled our desire to continue our ongoing repairs with this local business. This past Friday we dropped off a pair of shoes for half soles. The gentleman said they would be ready by Tuesday. Thanks for your continued service. We really are a fan of your consistently good repair standards.
