Concerned, I called my insurance company and learned the check was mailed directly to the shop on March 11. I informed them that Jimmy was essentially holding my car hostage until payment was received. Insurance quickly contacted the shop and sent proof of payment to clear things up. Having never experienced a body shop refusing to release my car--especially since I only had a $100 deductible and the insurer covered the rest--I was alarmed. After 12 days of waiting for front left bumper repairs, I pushed to get my car. Jimmy then called me aggressively, upset that I had said he was holding my car hostage. When I arranged to pick it up with my husband, Jimmy reluctantly agreed but complained it was "against his better judgment" to release it. I politely said I hope we never do business again and reminded him I'd ensure payment was made. After leaving the repair shop, I received a call from my insurance company checking if I had gotten my car back. They reassured me this situation was highly unusual and that the shop involved would be flagged for any future claims through their company. To clarify, Jimmy Joyce already received a first payment the same day the car was initially inspected, which was a week before it went into the shop. There's never been any reason for the shop to believe they wouldn't be compensated. Despite Jimmy Joyce's rude, unprofessional, and disrespectful behavior--especially towards women--I send him my best wishes and hope things improve going forward.

Did no one at your shop notice there was an extra part lying around? We called you to see if you had it. No one called us. Plus when I had my oil changed at another shop my car was 1 quart low on oil and low on antifreeze. The s proves no one at your shop checked the fluid levels. Basic service at most any shop.
