For the first time in four years I was able to walk out of a treatment feeling I could actually walk normal and my hips finally feeling like they were working as they are supposed to. The doctors are nice gentlemen as well, but I'm not quite sure about their approach to business. On my first visit, They tried to "sell" me a care plan to try and make it cheaper for me, thing is, it will suck up your benefits within three months if you go on it. Which will leave you having to pay out-of-pocket for the rest of the year, at least with my plan that only covers $800/yr that being "special services" Chiro, Physio & massage all wrapped into one. The service is good, but when I'm getting charged $55 per visit, I'm hoping to have some sort of privacy and more than a five minute visit with one small crack coming from my back. The face-to-face customer service from the dr. Is a little hard pressed when your face is already into a bed before he even walks in. There's no real discussion before he starts adjusting you about how your back is doing. Your face is already in the bed. There's a stranger 5 feet away from you on another bed and you can hear everything about their life and their condition. Lack of privacy in a doctor's office is new to me and not really the way I like to do my personal doctor appointments. The doctor is nice but again more time I feel should be spent with the patient and in a much more private setting for confidentiality reasons.

I'll be forever grateful to Dr. Jerry (Smuszko) for the care and healing I've received from him…read more I suffered from severe headaches most of my life. At the age of 5 or 6, (before seatbelt laws) I was thrown around the backseat of a car in a side collision. I believe this became the root cause of several health issues although weather changes increased the intensity of my headaches.  In my late thirties I had (3) rear-end car accidents in less than (4) years) that caused back and neck whiplash injuries.  Fast forward 40 years ...the soft tissue damage healed but I struggled regularly with severe headaches.  As time went on these headaches grew into migraines that became insufferable and more frequent. Each occurrence kept me bedridden for 12 to 30 hours before subsiding. During migraine attacks the pain was so excruciating it caused a stabbing pain through and behind one eye, horrible nausea, and intolerance to the slightest peep of light.  Since I couldn't function, I slept for most of the migraine duration. Painkillers only took a slight edge off the pain even when it was taken at the very onset. The pain wouldn't subside until my stomach 'exploded' through vomit.  This agony was endured for the better part of 20 years with the frequency increasing every year.  It was during one of my migraine episodes that Dr. Jerry (Smuszko) popped onto my Facebook feed with a message of hope to migraine sufferers.  The call I made that day changed my life. It has been almost (3) years since I became one of Dr. Jerry 's patients.   Dr. Jerry's a MASTER in treating migraine trauma. From the onset of his treatment, I've been completely free from chronic migraines. One exception only.... during a fight with Covid 19.  To be healed has been beyond my wildest hopes or expectation!  Now my spinal health care has gone past curing the migraines.  It's reduced body inflammation, stomach issues and given me far more energy.  My current treatment is plan is 'maintenance mode' to keep my spine in order.  I feel healthier than ever...and I enjoy life far more than in my younger years. If you suffer from migraines I highly recommend Dr. Jerry.

It was really nice to have a chiropractor named Michael that listened and was very patient with my body. He took the time and explained the process of his work. He made sure I understood a few options I should do at home and all around the experience was very positive and pleasant. I feel a lot better physically now 5 hours later. The pain went from an 8 to a 3. Also Nolan Griffin has been my massage therapist for almost 4 years know. I wouldn't even be in the same business if it wasn't for his therapy and treatments. From the very first massage to the one I just had a few days ago, the quality of his deep tissues are profoundly affecting my life and my body in a positive way. I have never had any other person provide the same amount of service my body needs. His patience, quality and knowledge of his skills I highly recommend. It seems this business is doing something very right since they have 2 profoundly great service providers for the body! Thanks guys. Back to life !!!

Like I do with my hairstylists, I hop around to different massage therapists, because they never do quite what I want, even if I give them guidance. Well, I can say I'll be settled for a while. Not only is the location convenient (Scotia Centre), they are available for lunchtime appointments. My therapist was Amber K. She was very professional, and asked me what I wanted to be worked on, and what issues, or injuries I had. I told her I have issues with my back from sitting at my desk, as well as my feet from excercise. Not only did she get directly to where was hurting me, and loosened it up, she also provided suggestions on how to avoid more pain, and reasons why I could be in pain based on my description of how it hurt. At first she didn't talk much, but the more I spoke, the more she engaged me - which is how I feel it should be. If I talk -you talk, if I don't -you don't. Prices are $80 per hour flat fee, which is slightly below standard fees downtown.
