Their grow kits can be used by both beginners and advanced people to grow mushrooms at home. My first experience with this company was at the Oakmont Farmers Market. The employee there had cooked Lion's Mane mushrooms, and he allowed my husband and me to taste them. My husband enjoyed the flavors, so we bought 8 ounces. The cost was $10, although the menu said $8 per pound. ?? My husband and I took these Lion's Mane mushrooms home. We heated the mushrooms for a lunch, and we enjoyed their freshness and flavor. We know little about mushrooms, but we feel interested in learning more about the dozens of species of mushrooms that people eat. I read on the company's website that they offer a class for people to learn about mushrooms, so maybe I should sign up for it. According to this company's social media, they sell their mushrooms not only at the Oakmont Farmers Market but also through their website, the Clarion Farmers Market, and the Pittsburgh Strip District.

I have a client who gives me a Ruths Chris gift certificate every Christmas, so I am pretty familiar with their menu. It's a good meal. Honestly, they use so much butter I feel I taste more butter than beef. AJ's grass fed beef tastes like beef. I had about 3 ounces leftover and sliced it, warmed it just a bit and had it with a spinach salad today. So good. The flea market has a very wide variety of items from antiques to tools to food to household supplies to blankets and vegetables and dog bones. Not much changes from year to year, but you end up wanting to keep going back for the tried and true favorites (we tend to pick up big jugs of Maple Syrup when we're there), and the special finds (on our last trip we bought a beer stein). The prices aren't always cheap -- the vendors who deal in antiques tend to know what their wares are worth, but most are willing to haggle. You have to pay to park -- I believe it's $5. You can also park across the street in someone's yard for $2 if you'd like to save a little a walk a smidge farther. We typically go the yard route simply because it's a little quicker to get in and out. Expect to spend 2 hours or so walking around if you want to see everything and bring the sun screen -- there isn't a lot of tree cover.
