I had booked an appointment for 1:45pm and arrived by 1:39pm. There was no one in the waiting area…read moreso I sat down and started filling out my form. 1:45pm came and went and by 2pm I was a little irked that no one was there. I even tried to call the number and the phone just rang in the lobby I was waiting in. A man emerged from the room and masseuse came behind him and mumbled 'how are you?' I replied I'm well and waited. She then went to check the man out and went back to sanitize the room. I asked where the restroom was as I had booked a 90 minute massage and didn't want to have to use the facilities mid-way through my massage. She walked over to the door and pointed out (to the restroom). After using the restroom (in this rather dilapidated building) I went back to Suite 100. The masseuse asked how long my massage was to which I replied 90 minutes. She looked like she was upset and had been crying, so I asked "are you okay? do you have allergies?' To where she replied "sorry about this (referring to her state)." I asked if she wanted to reschedule the appointment, as I really didn't mind coming back another time, and she just shook her head. She continued to sniffle and looked visibly upset. From there everything went from bad to worse. The massage was really sloppy and the room was freezing. She didn't ask me anything. Not if I wanted anything to drink, if the pressure was okay, if the room temp was okay. Nothing at all. She sniffled and blew loudly into a tissue several times during the massage as well as took several gulps of water. And when I say GULPS, I mean they were LOUD. The Pandora music playing with advertisements of Luke BBQ and wings were not at all relaxing. 30 minutes into the massage she excused herself for 10 minutes (I guess to cry some more or use her cell phone). At this point I really wanted to get up and leave. I was so uncomfortable. She came back and I again asked if she was okay and would like to reschedule, to which she mumbled something that was incoherent. There was NOTHING at all relaxing about this massage. It was the most awkward and worst massage I have ever had in my life and I've had over 100+ massage. I feel bad for the masseuse but you really should not conduct business if you are crying and upset, it just makes it awkward for everyone all around. I tipped her $5 and even that was more than she deserved. The massage was barely 60 minutes long and so awkward. Healing Sanctuary more like "Let's Make you feel super duper uncomfortable and unrelaxed sanctuary."

I got a confirmation phone call the day before, and was told their cancellation policy was a 24 hour notice or you're responsible for the cost of the massage. This is pretty typical of this industry and the conformation call was within 24 hours, so all was fine. She then informed me to bring cash "if you like to tip", which seemed very forward. My massage was scheduled for 2:30 last Friday. I received a phone call at 1:30 asking to reschedule my appointment (an hour before). I guess it would have been less of an issue if it hadn't already taken 2 weeks to get an appointment, and I had taken the day off in order to make the appointment. I chose to cut my loses, and contact Groupon for a refund. The professionalism is seriously lacking at this business.

I recently had my very first massage at Angel House on 8/27/2025. As someone who was a bit nervous…read moreand unsure of what to expect, I scheduled a one-hour deep tissue massage to help relieve the severe muscle tightness in my back, shoulders, and knee. To my surprise, the experience was exceptional. I walked out feeling significantly lighter and more relaxed, with much of the pain and tightness noticeably reduced -- especially in my shoulders, back, and knee. The relief lasted several days, which was more than I could've hoped for. Encouraged by the results, I immediately booked a 90-minute follow-up for the following week (9/3/2025). Since I hadn't caught the name of my first therapist, I simply requested whoever was available. That's how I ended up with Mona--or perhaps Monai (I apologize for not catching the correct spelling). All I can say is: that second massage was nothing short of life-changing. I told her generally where I was experiencing tightness, particularly in my lower back and right shoulder. Incredibly, she not only found those problem areas quickly but also discovered others I hadn't even realized were tense. As she worked, I could feel how different muscle groups were interconnected -- tension melting away in one area and bringing unexpected relief to another. Partway through the massage, something unexpected happened: my sinuses began to fill, and moisture welled up around my eyes. It wasn't pain or sadness -- just a strange emotional and physical release, perhaps from stress or toxins being worked out of my system. She incorporated stretches for my legs, hips, shoulders, and neck that brought back a range of motion and ease I hadn't felt in years. To call this experience "magical" is honestly an understatement. Afterward, I sat in my car in the parking lot for nearly 20 minutes, just absorbing the overwhelming sense of calm and peace. I wasn't numb -- I was deeply present, yet completely at ease. I spent the rest of the day in a meditative, blissful state. That feeling carried through into the next morning, and even now, I'm still feeling its effects. Needless to say, I'll be returning. I believe anyone would benefit from a massage at Angel House, but if you happen to get Monai, you may very well experience one of the best massages of your life.
