The financial aid liaisons were knowledgeable and pointed me in the proper directions in a timely manner. Never had an issue with funds being ready for me when I needed them. Never had an issue with parking, or choices of dining. The campus itself is beautiful! Second to nine in my opinion. The only thing that I think is a negative is that the freshman men's dormitory is across Ocoee from the school and people fly down that road. Even with the flashing cross walk signs and lights it can still be a dangerous spot for people.

The classes run seven weeks and are on a rolling enrollment, so you are going all year. Some weeks there is just a discussion due, while others have discussions, tests, papers, etc due and are very hectic. I would like to see them even it out a little. I give the academic side of the university four stars, but I give the Financial Aid side one. They are not very helpful and they are slow to disburse the funds, which can impede buying necessary materials and textbooks.

It's a nice vibe here because it's nestled right in the heart of the city. But, you can easily reach a huge greenway along the river, the art district, or walk across a long pedestrian bridge to shopping and parks. As a place to be a student, I found it to be pretty good overall. Now, with 25 years passing, I have no idea if the professors or education are like the past. But, I think the UT system does a decent job. I was well prepared for the future -- attending higher ranked graduate schools. UTC is what you make of it. Overall: Worth checking out if you want an urban campus that's not overwhelmingly big.

I recall going here right out of high school back in 1996. Although I didn't graduate at that time, it was a great place to go to allow me to transition from high school to college life. I've since earned a B. S. from another local school but Cleveland State is where I started. With the programs that CSCC offers and the emphasis that Tennessee places on higher education, if you live in the Cleveland area, there's no excuse for you to not be taking a class or two each semester. Even if you're not trying to earn a degree, the offered courses will still help you in your career or help you change a career. Stop by and talk to a counselor.

The financial aid office is probably the worst department in the whole school. Not one person in the place knows anything, and they wont let you speak with anyone who does. Forget about reaching out for help if you are taking a Tn ecampus class, there is no help, and no one at the school will help you. No matter how many emails you send, no matter how many times you go up to the school, no matter how many times you call. CSCC is notorious for giving students and parents the run around. I would recommend driving to Chattanooga and attending Chattanooga state if you are planning to attend community college.

I attended every class full-time and I paid my full tuition. I graduated from the course on 6 June 1986. I still have my grades and the letter from the Dean's office, saying I was on the Dean's List every quarter for making straight A's every quarter. I didn't attend graduation for a good reason. When I called several times to Chattanooga State to get my diploma and also when I came down from Maine to visit in 1992, I personally talked to the Registrar and asked them for my diploma. They outright told me that they had no record of me every attending Chattanooga State. Her exact words were, "We have no record of you ever attending Chattanooga State, but I can give you a copy of your grades." Now how stupid can people be. Every time I called or came down and had my Dad's lawyer even go over to Chattanooga State to try and get my diploma and they told him that I had never attended. Do you people think you can get by with this? Fortunately I had a copy of my grades with me from Mr. John Gibson and that was enough to get me a job, but you people are irresponsible. I have called since I moved back to TN and I get told the same thing. I would like for someone to look into this. I didn't go to school full-time, work full-time and pay out a lot of money for you people to hold my diploma from me. I should have gotten it on 6 June 1986. Start looking into this PLEASE!!!!

Admissions makes you run in circles and refuse to aid you in anyway other than informing you "oh... by the way we need this paperwork" that is not even in the Tiger web application as being required which is the system they go by to show what is needed to register. The VA reps and advisors won't even talk to you unless your registered to the school. Soo.... you have to be a student to get help to become a student?? They dodge any questions or concerns about Financial Aid until your classes are set up where.. of course... they ask for more paperwork which prevent you from registering for the classes/semester your already set for.. It doesn't make any sense how they do things. Attempting to understand their system to aid my Son has been a catastrophe... for a F**KING COMMUNITY COLLEGE!!!!!!! GO ONLINE OR A DIFFERENT STATE FOR SCHOOLING! F**K THIS DISGRACE OF A "COLLEGE"
