Among the participants, there were nursing, social workers, EMS students. Together, in a disaster, we are supposed to know how to work together and know how to utlitize the resources provided. The financial aid liaisons were knowledgeable and pointed me in the proper directions in a timely manner. Never had an issue with funds being ready for me when I needed them. Never had an issue with parking, or choices of dining. The campus itself is beautiful! Second to nine in my opinion. The only thing that I think is a negative is that the freshman men's dormitory is across Ocoee from the school and people fly down that road. Even with the flashing cross walk signs and lights it can still be a dangerous spot for people.

The classes run seven weeks and are on a rolling enrollment, so you are going all year. Some weeks there is just a discussion due, while others have discussions, tests, papers, etc due and are very hectic. I would like to see them even it out a little. I give the academic side of the university four stars, but I give the Financial Aid side one. They are not very helpful and they are slow to disburse the funds, which can impede buying necessary materials and textbooks.

It's a nice vibe here because it's nestled right in the heart of the city. But, you can easily reach a huge greenway along the river, the art district, or walk across a long pedestrian bridge to shopping and parks. As a place to be a student, I found it to be pretty good overall. Now, with 25 years passing, I have no idea if the professors or education are like the past. But, I think the UT system does a decent job. I was well prepared for the future -- attending higher ranked graduate schools. UTC is what you make of it. Overall: Worth checking out if you want an urban campus that's not overwhelmingly big.

I recall going here right out of high school back in 1996. Although I didn't graduate at that time, it was a great place to go to allow me to transition from high school to college life. I've since earned a B. S. from another local school but Cleveland State is where I started. With the programs that CSCC offers and the emphasis that Tennessee places on higher education, if you live in the Cleveland area, there's no excuse for you to not be taking a class or two each semester. Even if you're not trying to earn a degree, the offered courses will still help you in your career or help you change a career. Stop by and talk to a counselor.

Their business office is completely ridiculous and will have you running all over the place giving you the wrong information, that changes every time you talk to someone different. The financial aid office is probably the worst department in the whole school. Not one person in the place knows anything, and they wont let you speak with anyone who does. Forget about reaching out for help if you are taking a Tn ecampus class, there is no help, and no one at the school will help you. No matter how many emails you send, no matter how many times you go up to the school, no matter how many times you call. CSCC is notorious for giving students and parents the run around. I would recommend driving to Chattanooga and attending Chattanooga state if you are planning to attend community college.

The VA reps and advisors won't even talk to you unless your registered to the school. Soo.... you have to be a student to get help to become a student?? They dodge any questions or concerns about Financial Aid until your classes are set up where.. of course... they ask for more paperwork which prevent you from registering for the classes/semester your already set for.. It doesn't make any sense how they do things. Attempting to understand their system to aid my Son has been a catastrophe... for a F**KING COMMUNITY COLLEGE!!!!!!! They take forever to respond and rarely send the correct information to register on time. I asked months in advance for my PIN number or schedule, I called, I emailed, I went in person but it wasn't enough. Their advisors just cannot seem to do their job and help. I would advice going to a different college. It has been nothing but head aches. I just want to take the classes and finish my degree but apparently being able to take the classes is the hardest part
