I recognize a lot of people don't have the best high school experiences. My experience in high…read moreschool, thankfully, was very positive. It was at CA where I met a lot of my life long friends. Collegedale Academy offers high quality classes that helped prepare me for University level classes, while also offering extracurricular activities. There are plenty of opportunities to engage in athletics with cross-country, basketball, gymnastics and tennis. Non-athletic opportunities like band, hand bells, choir and yearbook are also available. But, what I enjoyed the most were the quality of teachers whom not only provide you with a well-rounded education, but also become mentors. The teachers care about the students and want to help provide them with the tools to succeed. I also really value the Christian focused environment CA provides. The school helped strengthen my faith through mission trip opportunities (prayer or Bible conferences), week of prayers and support via the chaplain department.

The financial aid liaisons were knowledgeable and pointed me in the proper directions in a timely manner. Never had an issue with funds being ready for me when I needed them. Never had an issue with parking, or choices of dining. The campus itself is beautiful! Second to nine in my opinion. The only thing that I think is a negative is that the freshman men's dormitory is across Ocoee from the school and people fly down that road. Even with the flashing cross walk signs and lights it can still be a dangerous spot for people.

The classes run seven weeks and are on a rolling enrollment, so you are going all year. Some weeks there is just a discussion due, while others have discussions, tests, papers, etc due and are very hectic. I would like to see them even it out a little. I give the academic side of the university four stars, but I give the Financial Aid side one. They are not very helpful and they are slow to disburse the funds, which can impede buying necessary materials and textbooks.

The VA reps and advisors won't even talk to you unless your registered to the school. Soo.... you have to be a student to get help to become a student?? They dodge any questions or concerns about Financial Aid until your classes are set up where.. of course... they ask for more paperwork which prevent you from registering for the classes/semester your already set for.. It doesn't make any sense how they do things. Attempting to understand their system to aid my Son has been a catastrophe... for a F**KING COMMUNITY COLLEGE!!!!!!! GO ONLINE OR A DIFFERENT STATE FOR SCHOOLING! F**K THIS DISGRACE OF A "COLLEGE"

They take forever to respond and rarely send the correct information to register on time. I asked months in advance for my PIN number or schedule, I called, I emailed, I went in person but it wasn't enough. Their advisors just cannot seem to do their job and help. I would advice going to a different college. It has been nothing but head aches. I just want to take the classes and finish my degree but apparently being able to take the classes is the hardest part
