Amazing dentist and person. I've personally been with her since I was about 10 years of old and I'm…read morein my 30's, absolutely no reason to change. My family could not afford braces for me when I was a teen and her office made arrangments to give my family a break and assistance so I could have them. Great dentist, great person, caring individual her partner is just as amazing. Love this office!

Susan Payne is an unethical dentist in my opinion. I was injured some years ago and had 7 back…read moresurgeries. Over time I had so many Dr bills and other bills that I had to put myself on an extreme budget because of my inability to work. Due to my hardship I did not want to do anything to add to my financial problems. When I go to a dentist or Dr now I am very concerned about adding unnecessary bills to my finances. I went to Susan Payne for a work up and estimate as to the cost of my dental needs. I have two dental policies which I gave to Ms Payne. In good faith, I explained where I was with my disability and my resulting finances. I told her that under no circumstances to do any work that insurance would not pay for 100% other than my deductible. She assured me that she would have her insurance person confirm with my insurance companies and we would stop for the year and wait until the following year to complete any dentistry when my policy started new. I paid two $50 deductibles up front and she told me that would be all I had to pay until the next year when I had to pay my annual deductibles again. After 5 months of working on my dentistry she told me, ok that we met the max for insurance that year. So we stopped. 45 days later I received a bill from her for nearly $1300. I immediately called her office and they transferred me to her "insurance person" who I explained the agreement that Susan Payne and I had discussed. She informed me that it was out of her hands and neither insurance would pay for a portion of the procedures she has performed. She did submit my paperwork to a charity "church" organization and she was happy to inform me that they would pay $1000 of the fee. Another unethical decision to take money from charity to pay for her mistake! The balance they simply submitted to the credit bureaus. Over the next several weeks, I left several requests for Ms Payne to call me so we could discuss. She never returned my calls. Finally, thinking she may not be in the loop and the "insurance person" was just not telling her since it seemed she failed to confirm coverage of my policies (she had 5 months to do so), I wrote Ms Payne a letter. I asked her to please contact me to discuss our agreement or write a letter or email explaining why our agreement was not upheld. After two more months with no response, I called the office again and asked the person at the front Desk to verify if she got the letter. The next day I got a call from the front desk person saying yes Susan did get my letter and she was would call me once she decided what she was going to do. 6 months later now I have not heard from her. She lied to me and she took money from a charity to cover either her or an employees mistake. As a business owner myself, (before all my surgeries), I have had problems that were either a mistake on my part or something other than my clients. I always did what was right by the client and refunded or credited their account. I would have never looked for a charity to pay me for my mistake and I most certainly would have never submitted it to the credit bureaus had the client identified and tried to make sure upfront that no overages or extra charges would be incurred. Being a Dr or Dentist is a responsibility and Susan Payne doesn't seem to take that responsibility to heart.
