We have used Peters for the 30 years we've lived in Quincy. Whether on our personal home or rental…read moreproperty, we've always received prompt service by professional technicians and charged fair prices. As an example of their service, recently the 30+ year old system in our home failed in the middle of the 94-98-degree heatwave. Called Peters and they looked at everything and presented us with options, essentially patch the old system or replace part or all of it. We opted for a full replacement. They scheduled an install crew for the next day as they had the needed components in stock. The next day the crew arrived at 7:30 am and by 3:00 pm they were headed out the door and we had nice cool air running! We've heard horror stories from several friends who have had terrible experiences with other local HVAC outfits, and while we don't like to see friends have bad luck, it sure makes us appreciate Peters all the more! The other upside to Peters is they're Carrier dealers. In our experience their is simply no equal to Carrier. Quiet, reliable, and fairly priced.

We hired 4H Plumbing in November 2022 to repair missing piping in a duplex rental. During the…read moreproject, we also agreed to have the units split and fitted with separate water meters based on the plumber's recommendation--it made sense to handle everything at once. Fast forward a little over two years, we turned off the water for the first time during a vacancy, only to discover that one of the units still had running water. That's when we realized the units were never actually separated. When we contacted John from 4H Plumbing about the issue, he refused to return and correct the work. After speaking with other licensed plumbers, we learned that he has never been licensed at all--despite representing himself as such. Unfortunately, we're not the first to be misled. If you're considering hiring 4H Plumbing, we strongly recommend doing your due diligence and proceeding with caution.
