I was not happy with the work done by Bix, I'm sorry to say. The estimator who did the quote for my projects was excited about them and assured me the company could take care of me; the price quoted was very reasonable. I wanted to have a garage floor leveled and a long concrete porch leveled.
When the employee finally came in the spring to do the work, after several mechanical breakdown delays, I asked if they could add my driveway into the deal and was told no problem, he'd just do that while he was here.
Well, the garage was a little improved. The employee basically told me he couldn't do the porch, though he did slap some of their gray caulk into the crack -- which didn't improve the appearance and was, IMO, sloppily done. I can see no difference at all in the driveway.
The company was responsive when I contacted them and said I expected my bill would be dramatically decreased since they basically couldn't do any of my projects. They wanted to send someone out to make things right. However, they were not able to schedule me for this next appointment for another month.
When the two guys finally came (the one who'd previously worked on the projects and a supervisor), they evaluated the projects and explained why the porch can't be done and why the driveway can't be better, and said probably they could get the garage a little better than they'd left it.
I explained that I was not going to pay anything for the driveway and the porch since I had been assured the projects were do-able and it didn't then matter to me how much time and material they'd put into it; there was no improvement in either to me. They agreed and charged me only a (slightly discounted) amount for the garage.
Unfortunately, I discovered after a heavy rain this weekend that NOW my garage takes on water, which it didn't do before.
So overall, pretty much 100% unhappy with the work that was done and would not recommend the company. I think that the estimators ought to be well-versed in what's possible and what's not before making promises. read more
