Leduc Diner is one of those local secrets that you always want to find. The sign will make you think it's an old dreary pizza place but you'll know better as soon as you open the door. It's part of a mall but there's an outside entrance so you don't have to go into the mall. It was nearly lunchtime but we came for the all day breakfast. Service was immediate and friendly. In fact I nearly ordered the $12.00 breakfast until the server pointed out that the Starter Breakfast was only $9.25 and is nearly the same (possibly fewer potato fry things) . It's a great deal! My order even came with two real sausages rather than the typical tiny breakfast sausages that most places serve. It was a full plate at a bargain price. The coffee was good, not coffee shop good but still good and refills came fast. It was busy but not crowded. I think that this is where Leduc people go to tell each other how glad they are to live there rather than Edmonton. I know that we'll be back, especially because gas is always cheaper in Leduc than Edmonton (sometimes a lot cheaper). I recommend Leduc Diner but don't judge it by the sign. Why not five stars you ask? Only because the menu was not unique. Nothing trendy here, just good food, great service and unbelievable prices. read more

If that's your kind of food, the Leduc Diner will meet your craving and leave you with a generous amount of leftovers. The diner itself is dated but clean, and family friendly. Service is average. A throwback for those small-town reminiscing kind of days. For $4 domestic draft on a Friday, it's not a bad place to catch up with old friends. Our first visit, we had breakfast. First, the portions are very generous, second the price is very reasonable, service was fast, staff are warm and inviting. The food was delicious, the pancakes were soft and buttery, sausages were huge, eggs cooked perfectly, crispy hashbrowns, all so good. Half way through breakfast, random old guy (we assume the owner) just lays down two rice pudding deserts, "free desert!" Don't mind if I do. We are coming back for sure. read more

I think I've visited almost every restaurant in Leduc, but I'd never been to the Leduc Diner until last week. I'm not sure why, because I have friends that love the place and have memories of dining out with their families there, but I'd never been. It just was never on my radar, but I decided to stop there for dinner on Sunday night. Sunday night in Leduc isn't always a happening thing, but you'd never know that from coming into Leduc Diner. The place was busy, mostly family's out for Sunday dinner, but I was still able to get a table right away. There's a lot of classic comfort food on the menu, as well as pizzas, burgers, and pasta. While I've heard the pizza here is really good I knew I wouldn't be able to finish one on my own. So I opted for a clubhouse sandwich, which was really good. The decor is older, but it gives the restaurant a classic kind of feel, and the restaurant itself is clean and the service was very friendly. The portions are good size, and the price and quality is better than I've had at similar chain restaurants. Not sure why it took me 30 years to come here, but I won't wait another 30 years to go back to Leduc Diner again. read more

Looked like a great place to try out. My girlfriend used to come here about 10 years ago and bragged it up considerably. We ended up not ordering as the meal prices just seemed really high across the board. Portion sizing from what I could see was average. Pizza pricing looked on par with other places. Randomly saw a friend check in here on Saturday and got really excited when I checked out their website. I love a basic diner!!! They were really busy when we walked in at the end of lunch on a sunday, but we were greeted promptly and shown to the only open table in the place. The service was good and the food was tasty. Nothing that knocked me off my socks, but there was no complaints at all. everything was cooked perfectly. The pizza us very good. The crust is homemade, the toppings are plentiful. The sauce is a little sweet. The sauce reminds me of Ragu spaghetti. I tried the Extra Large Royal pizza ($30) which is their deluxe offering. I left off the shrimp which i believe has no place on a pizza. It may be the best pizza I've had in Leduc very close to Royal Pizza. I would have again. They don't offer delivery and they close early, even on weekends. read more

Ok, so if you know you know. Leduc Diner is the best all around resturant in Leduc. They have everything you could want and most menu items are good to great as far as taste. Presentation is not their strong suit but hey, it all looks great going down! The best aspect of the Diner, the service will never let you down, their staff is on top of everything. It may not be modern, classy or fancy but it sure does fill the comfort & food void. The pizza is great, really big eats. The pasta is always filling and not overcooked. The steak dishes are cooked correctly for temp and even the salads are big and tasty. They make a descent salted Caesar too. Leduc Diner has been a tradition in my family since I was nine years old. The menu is quite similar to Boston Pizza in alot of ways but the food is of a much higher quality. The pizza and spaghetti are the must try menu items. For years I have coveted the recipe for their amazing meat sauce to no avail. Even though the prices have increased over the year by one of two dollars on some of the meals the value is still there because the portions are huge. With all the chain restaurants that have gone up in Leduc over the last few years alot of the community still has unwavering and well deserved loyalty to this place. The family that owns and operates this place puts love into all the dishes and has preserved the same warm and welcoming atmosphere over the years. The bar area especially is very beautiful and reminds me alot of the show Cheers. When you think of everything that makes a good quality locally owned business the Leduc Diner has all of it in mass amounts! The locals clearly are too as the place was nearly full. The $6.50 special gets you two eggs with bacon, ham or sausage plus either toast hash browns OR two pancakes. Love this little dinner! Places like these are hard to find and it is so nice and quaint to go to this establishment and enjoy an nice meal. Always friendly staff and willing to make how you like. I even had a patty melt (not on the menu). I think they serve liver and onions! They're lasagna with meat balls is delicious. Pizza and rest of menu is pretty good as well. It's not fancy, but it works. I take my grandpa here for breakfast on the weekends, and we enjoy it. He gets to chat with all the farmers who are also in having breakfast with their families, and the food is quick and simple. There is staff there that has worked there for as long as I can remember, which says good things about the back end of the establishment. It's had a bit of a spruce up in recent history, but it's still dated. It's what's inside that counts, and the food is good. Really can't complain. The pasta sauce is polarizing, you either love it or you don't (I love it), but there is so much on the menu, that if you don't want pasta, that's not a problem. It's a local institution in "Old Safeway Mall" and they do what they do. It's tasty, not fancy and it is what it is, and comfortable about it! read more

We love it here ! Me and my husband often get home late so it's nice we can put in an order and pick it up not too long after. We really enjoy the beef and onion pizza and the lasagna is a household fav. The restaurant is a bit old but quite homey. If you want some good pizza this is a great place for that. The breakfast here is good, and there's lots on the menu for lunch and dinner. The staff is friendly too. My only complaint is that we sent back a Loaf (baked sandwich) because it was burnt from being in the oven too long. Aparently the "boss" was working in the kitchen that night and she refused to make us another one in the oven, but said she'd microwave one for us...yuck!! She actually sent back the burnt sandwich instead of making us a new one!! We were very surprised, and so was the waitress! We ate what we could, but left pretty disappointed that night :( read more
