Black and white steamed.

We were excited to be able to have dim sum in Munich but then found out that it's a dumpling-only place. Ok no big deal. It is a very clean and hip tiny place, a welcoming atmosphere. We were served pretty quickly as we came at an off time (~3pm). The two of us shared the black & white 10 piece steamed dumplings. They were pretty good, soup filled and all. It's a bit pricier than what we are used to back in Canada, where you can get 15 pieces of dumplings for ~$8 CAD. Though I guess when there is little competition, you can bump up the price to whatever you want. Bathroom smelled very nice. 3/5 for value, 4/5 for ambience.

Pool of dressing left over. Salads are way overdressed, drowning in dressing

Prefer the other location because the salad was fresher -- there wasn't old wilted lettuce sitting at the bottom -- and they don't serve you salad drowning in dressing. There was a half inch of dressing at the bottom of our bowls. The dumplings are good, and for .5 more Euro you can mix and match once you decide which dumplings are your favorite. This was my third time at LeDu in less than a week, and first time at this location. The tables are communal here, except for the two tables outside. I'd give this place 3.5 stars, if I could, but then again, the bathroom here is much nicer than the other location. It's spacious, has handrails if you need, L'Occitane lavender hand lotion after you wash up.

The service was very nice. You should try the taro bum with mongo source, which was very special. The sour pork dumpling was good and spicy beef was just okay that it could be steamed softer.

We went here for the first time today and really enjoyed it. This place does one thing, dumplings. You can choose if you want white or brown dough, select steamed or pan fried and there is about 10 options for filling. I chose the sour pork which is a German twist to the filling with pork and sauerkraut. The dumplings were tasty and the pork filling was excellent. The chili sauce here is also very good and I really enjoyed the meal. You can choose from a basket of 6 or 10 dumplings and if you choose you can order the menu option and that come with a small side salad. Good food at reasonable prices. I will definitely come back here for dumplings. It's no comparison to a good yum cha house I have been to but for Munich, a good choice.

This was a surprising little find. After spending a day at the Residenz Museum, we had worked up quite an appetite. A 10 minute walk led us into a trendy SOHO district with enticing antique shops. Only a handful of places were open on Sunday including this one. Service is quick, abrupt, and hardly friendly. The menu is on the wall, but there are English versions for your perusal. It's pretty straightforward if you're ordering dumplings. Figure out if you want light or dark exterior. The waitress said it tastes the same, only one is darker. Hmm...alrighty. We'll go with the lighter one cuz dumplings cuz it seems weird any other way. You choose the steam or pan fried method, then the filling. I had to take off a star because I expected a nice crisp bottom when traditional dumplings are pan fried. There was hardly a difference between pan fried and steamed. They've got a few other items like dessert dumplings and salads. I tried the peanut dressing salad and it was refreshing on a warm day. They've also got an array of teas..again worth getting to help wash down the flavorful dumplings. I agree with other yelpers that it was a bit too salty. It came with dipping sauces, but there was so much flavor that it truly wasn't necessary. This little place is TINY so expect to share a table. The colorful, cool decor makes up for the lack of space. I suggest coming at off hours so you're not elbow to elbow with other patrons.

Extremely good !! Even if we had to wait a bit before eating, it was really nice and delicious. We really enjoyed menus with lot of food in it. The atmosphere is quite good and waiters are welcoming. Don't wait, try now !

The dumpling were so salty. It's crazy. I think they try to please German people so much by making the dumpling as salty as German food. I feel bad for my kidney. Wasabi salad was really bad as well. as Germanized Asian food as it gets.

Absolutely delicious! Get the mixed colorful plate with the steamed sticky rice bowl for dessert :D

Best dumplings in Munich so far. Wished they could offer the original dumpling dip of rice vinegar with minced ginger.

Amazing. The only issue is I don't live closer. The dumplings are fresh, the service is great, and the atmosphere is perfect

This is one of my better "Asian" experiences in Munich and I already have plans to go back next week.

After trying the duck here (and proceeding to come back for the next three evenings for the exact…read moresame dinner), my dad, a typical northeast China expat, has decided that he will not and can not eat Beijing roast duck from anywhere else--not even Beijing! We got the duck noodle soup and duck with chop suey veggies (if you couldn't tell, we just really wanted duck). Fortunately the duck in both dishes came in generously abundant portions. The duck in the duck noodle soup was quite outstanding. The noodles and the soup were pretty typical for a Chinese restaurant, but the duck--oh the duck! It was the perfect balance between chewy and tender, covered with a crispy layer of skin that held just the slightest hint of yummy fat without oozing all over and making you feel sick and worried about the potential of developing atherosclerosis. The noodle soup really let the duck take the spotlight. The duck with chop suey veggies came with a huge bowl of mediocre rice. The veggies were drenched in a little too much sauce, and the duck seemed to have been deep fried, which was disappointing. While the crispy exterior was made more crispy, the oil from the frying unfortunately drowned out the subtle flavors that duck naturally carries. All in all, a pretty authentic place and seemingly cleaner than other places of the same caliber. Duck was the highlight of our meal, and the duck flesh was also pleasantly "cleaner" (in that it exuded a lot less fat) than previous experiences in both the US and China. Definitely worth trying out, both for the local German looking for an Asian restaurant and for the Chinese tourist hoping for a familiar meal.

They have been here a few times and seem to really like it. For the level of Asian in Munich, this place is ok. I do however prefer the flavours at their other shop in Maxvorstadt. We sat outside and ordered a three course menu. There are three menus on their card and of course you can also order a la carte. The staff were very friendly however the kitchen was way too slow for my liking. It bore no resemblance to any other Asian dumpling places I have ever been to and they missed some of our order. The food came out totally randomly and we had to remind the staff twice about missing items. Flavours are good but I would not call it authentic. The hottest dish on their menu was not hot enough for me but, the one dish I tried which was supposed to be mildly hot (1 chili sign) was hotter than the one I ordered (3 chili sign). One of the people in our group ordered the mildly spicy dish and I ended up eating half of it as it was too spicy for her :-) All in all an ok experience that I won't be repeating in a hurry. It's reasonable food for reasonable prices. I would consider coming back here and seeing what the kitchen is like on a non busy day ;-))
