I found them on a search site, and saw that there was a reasonable service fee to come out for an estimate. I had to cancel the appointment due to other work being done at the house that took longer than expected. I called recently and rescheduled the appointment. Again I explained what I wanted done, and it seemed the guy understood what I was asking. I scheduled an appointment for today at noon. I asked the price of the service call, and he told me they did not charge a service call. Okay great...I was sure I saw a small service fee initially, but no fee works too. I just received a call this morning from a guy at XH asking what I wanted done. I was confused, because I assumed professionals took notes on these things. I explained again what I wanted, and after being told in the previous conversation that they needed to come out for an estimate, today he rattled off a price of $650 without seeing anything. I was shocked, because I had a couple other estimates for less than a third of the cost, but they were booked way out, and I wanted this done soon. So I mentioned this to the guy, and he said yes you should go with that, because that's what we charge just to come out. I said, "what is your charge for coming out...the $200 I was quoted by the other guys?" There is no $200 dollar service charge listed anywhere on their website, I was told there was no service charge when I scheduled the appointment, and no electrician is charging $200 for a service call. I don't know why this guy or this company decided they didn't want my business, but clearly that was the case. He correctly expected me to say no thanks when he quoted me a price of $650. I will assume I dodged a bullet on this one.

Prior to today, my impression of AC Electric had been positive. Since 2021, we have spent approximately $30,000 with AC Electric on work performed at our home. During that time, I previously interacted with Todd Fowler and found him to be professional, respectful, and courteous. Unfortunately, my experience this morning with company ownership was the complete opposite. During our interaction, I was shocked by the level of hostility, disrespect, and unprofessional behavior directed toward me. While I fully understand that stressful situations arise in business, there is simply no excuse for speaking to or treating a long-term customer in the manner I experienced today. The conduct displayed reflected extremely poorly on the company and its leadership. Because the interaction was so inappropriate and unexpected, I documented portions of the situation with photographs and detailed notes immediately afterward. Attached are photographs from the original 2021 installation showing the basement walls at that time with no visible leaking issues present. I am also attaching current photographs from this year showing the condition now. In addition, I have attached exterior photographs from the original 2021 work that clearly show disturbed ground, what appears to be a newly installed pipe, and a shovel present at the work area during the installation period. This is particularly concerning given the statement made to me today that "they did not dig" during the prior work. Based on the visible condition of the ground and surrounding area shown in the 2021 photographs, that statement does not appear consistent with what is documented. I believe businesses are ultimately judged by how leadership conducts itself and how people are treated during ordinary interactions. Based on my experience today, I believe this matter deserves serious internal attention and review.

The diagnostic charge was explained to me and I set up an appointment. The man got here on time and was polite, knowledgeable, thorough, and checked things I didn't know COULD be checked! When he left the problem was fixed---of course --we had a storm that night and it proved us wrong. Back again and this time he must have gotten things sealed because after 6 weeks, and many storms, the problem is corrected. I will go with AC for my electric needs from now on!

His quoting and billing process was smooth and he communicated well when he had to prioritize a fallen tree emergency that set my job back a couple days - which he knew was totally fine with me.
