I had to install weather stripping to make sure there was no leakage as there was a wide gap at the bottom of the French windows. The lock to the front door remained broken and unreplaced for over 6 months . I lived here for 3 years and the problems started appearing in my last year here. Speaking with the owner, a lawyer was a painful experience . Once when I simply told her that I was unhappy that the AC broke down 3 times in 3 years , she said told me to be grateful that I was not in Ukraine. I was also charged a ridiculous cleaning fee of $1600 after I left my apartment. When I threatened to report her to BBB she accused me of harassing her and threatened to report to my workplace . Just stay away . Trust me

She abused me verbally until I followed the VA doctors advice and blocked her number and emails. Being 100% disabled I made her aware of my disability so she would stop the threatening behavior and since she persisted I have now filed a formal complaint with adult protective services. She makes up lies to keep your deposit what is worse is she absolutely does enter your domicile without proper authorization. I mean look at this security situation. These keys unlock all of the apartments and the closet they are in doesn't even close. Stay away! She got drummed out of this town (to Canada, conveniently) like 20 years ago and her reputation precedes her.

The pipes kept leaking, and the guy who came and fixed it had no clue as to what he was doing. The owner finally paid for a real plumber. The roof had a bad enough leak that it caused a bubble in the paint on the wall. Which they did nothing about, when I moved in the siding wasn't done. If call the landlord you're lucky to get an answer. I moved out two months ago and still haven't gotten my deposit back. They have no right to keep either, just a bad place to rent from all around. I suggest you find somewhere better unless you have no other options.

Our problems we have with the apartment (which we have more than plenty) either NEVER get fixed or get halfway fixed because the older gentleman who comes to fix things is not very good unfortunately. You call and 80 percent of the time you get NO answer or A woman (that I believe is named Sharon) answers with attitude and not understanding what so ever. She even claimed I lied about calling when I told her i had called over the course of 3 months to get some serious issues fixed in the apartment. I even tried to leave a voicemail but everytime i called it said the vm box was full. The issues we have are always a problem that never get completely fixed. We had a leak coming through the bathroom that caused a bubble in the paint on the ceiling and the "Maintenance" guy just spreaded drywall to cover it, he said the roof needed to be fixed after climbing up there but that was over a year ago and nothing has happened. Not to mention he layed nothing down and got drywall on all of my belongings. I do not recommend Sooter to anyone unless your desperate. We are currently trying to move and be rid of this place I will never rent from Sooter again!

This has been a problem for over two months and the part was just ordered to "fix." Leases were signed in March, then she had some communication that made her question the lease and she was told they threw away all of those leases. She has not received a new lease to sign and is questioning if she should. Plus is the 4 bedroom units are furnished and the decor is ok. Smaller units are NOT furnished. Changed ownership since she started there and lots of changes to the way the complex works have been made to nickel and dime the renters.
