So much responsibility when you have children. Food, friends, Doctors, etc. The list goes on and…read moreon. I'm here to help, at least with your kids dental needs. I have been bringing my daughter to Dr Cat for the past 2 years, and her and her staff are tremendous! The dentist can be traumatic for any one, at any ago. For my daughter, Callie, Dr Cat is like a soothing beach breeze. She took a nervous little girl and within minutes had her mouth wide open, with no complaints! I floss my daughters teeth each day, sometimes the results are what you'd expect. No issues with Dr Cat! Callie is so comfortable now, that right when Dr Cat walks into the room, her mouth is already open. She actually said at her last visit that she likes the dentist! Dr Cat goes over everything with me, while also explaining to 3-year Callie, what's up too. I'd be remiss if I didn't include hygienist Ray in this review. That man is amazing with kids! His kindness and friendliness should be a template for many that work in the dental or medical industry. I know I am going overboard, but having taken Callie to a dentist prior to Dr Cat, I know bad. Few other things of note. -- To distract the kids, there is a TV placed in front of them whilst sitting in dental chair, which helps them relax. Callie is a fan of Bluey! -- The view is also beautiful, especially on a pretty day. -- When everything is over, the kids are allowed to pick out a toy or two. It's a nice touch. I feel super fortunate to have found Dr Cat. My daughter loves -- well at least, likes her a lot. I bet your kid will too. :)

They would only allow one parent in the room, so I had to stay in the waiting area. Before my wife was even with our son in the operating room, THE GUY FORCED THE MASK OVER OUR SON'S MOUTH WHILE HE WAS CRYING, AND HELD IT DOWN WHILE HE FOUGHT BACK -- UNTIL HE FELL UNCONSCIOUS. My wife saw it from the hallway while she was running to the room, but when she got there our son was already out. The guy didn't introduced himself, didn't say what we were going to do, or what to expect. Neither did Cat. It was very traumatic for my wife and my son. I was livid. I complained after, and Cat apologized, but that was it. We regret taking my son here for years, from 4-6 years old. We should have left much earlier. They always push for anesthesia or laughing gas, your costs will be higher. We spent thousands of dollars worth of dental work here, and upon going to another dentist, learned that the dental care we received from Cat was not good, and it left my son needing even more work to fix it. For example, they pulled two of his teeth and put in spacers. They didn't want to keep adjusting his spacers which were causing his gums to bleed, so they removed them and said he must be allergic (he is not allergic to metal, it was their care). The new dentist couldn't believe they removed the spacers... this caused his incoming teeth to have no space, and his whole mouth was out of whack because the gaps had closed. We also got several fillings here, most of which broke or fell out; we would need to pay to get new ones. The last one fell out while he was eating, 13 months after getting them in. I called to ask if they could fix it, and they coldly told me, "No, you'll need to pay for new ones because we only cover them for 12-months." After thousands of dollars, tons of work done, they still care 0% about you. Run away from this place.

I reached out to my lactation consultant who recommended I go see Dr. Rumack; I am so happy that I did. She also said it is minor, but did a thorough assessment and said a tongue and lip tie release would benefit her. The procedure was done in house (with laser) and was less than 5-10 minutes. My newborn came back calm. The post procedure exercises were simple. AND the best part is that she was able to latch on for the FIRST feed after procedure (same day!!). I drove an hour to see her and it was well worth it. I highly recommended her.

We came in for a consult and decided to proceed with having his tongue and lip release done same day. They took such good care of him and the areas healed up very quickly. We are so glad that we got the procedure done for our baby. We noticed a big difference with his feeding and the range of motion with his tongue. The first 24 hours were the hardest for recovery but after the first day our little one did great with his exercises and healing process. So happy we took care of this now and not down the road when he was older. The entire office made the experience really easy and comforting.

The dental receptionist are always great and they always check you in quickly, keep my son occupied in the kids waiting room while getting quick treatment done, and always make sure you have everything you need for your next visit whether it be a card, email or text reminder. The assistants are also amazing! They always make sure my kids are comfortable (turn the ceiling TV's on for the kids to watch what they like while getting their teeth clean and engaging with them to keep their spirits up. They have about 6 rooms on one side for normal teeth checkups and procedures, and they have another side with several dental chairs on the other side for orthodontic work. Both Dr. Shaheedy and Dr. Miller have been wonderful to me and my kids. They really care about our teeth and well being in general. They are great with kids and you can tell they love their jobs. My kids are very comfortable with all of the staff and their procedures are pretty quick with minimal wait times. Smiles For All services children Monday- Sunday but they take adult patients on Thursdays only. So, it can be a little rough getting in appointments for yourself but I've managed to make it work. As for the kids, scheduling time has never been an issue. I highly recommend Smiles For All if you have children. I actually just recommended it to my coworker who was looking for a dentist for her son since she just moved to Tarzana. Overall, it's a nice place with amazing people who care about what they do, leaving bright, white and healthy teeth for everyone. OOOOO 5 out of 5 Afros

Seriously, I weirdly look forward to coming here. During my last cleaning I was given some really good advice on how to best keep my teeth clean. I had another dentist tell me never to use an electric toothbrush, but that wasn't true! I just wasn't using it correctly. Once instructed properly by Fariba, I no longer have excess plaque on the bottom inner portion of my teeth. I was given extra kudos for wearing my mouthguard religiously. Every night for 30 years. I also came in one time because my gums felt really sensitive and I was worried that they were aggressively receding. Nope, through examination and conversation, the dentist figured it out; I was grinding during my workouts! I work out 3-4 hours heavily per day, it all made perfect sense. Anyhow, give this place a shot, you'll be as happy as you can possibly be with a dentist!

He usually starts crying as soon as he realizes we're going to the dentist, and in the past, we've had to hold him down just to get through procedures. But seeing how far he has come during our visit last week was such an amazing moment for us. As soon as we got there, the staff remembered that Marcus loves watching Mira and immediately offered to put it on for him. I was honestly so touched and surprised that they remembered! They talked to him calmly, worked at his pace, and adjusted to what he needed. Before we even realized it, they had finished his X-rays and cleaning -- without having to strap him down or hold him down. We only had to hold his hands to keep him from reaching toward his mouth. For our family, that was HUGE progress. Then Dr. Su came in, and as always, she was so gentle and patient with Marcus. She has such a calm, soothing way of talking to kids that really makes a difference. It means so much as a parent when you find a dental office that doesn't just get the job done, but actually knows your child, remembers the little things, and adjusts to their needs. We love Dr. Su, we love the staff, and we love Kids Dental Crew. I would definitely recommend them to anyone, especially families who have children who may need a little extra patience, understanding, and care.
