I found a little gem in Ajax Good price, great service, yummy food! They offer a wide variety of food! If you love pork, this place is for you! They also have many delicious desserts too. Come early is better because they run out very fast even it's only afternoon!!! Call in if you want to place an order ahead time or if you would like to know what they are offering at the time! I don't know a thing about Filipino food but I heard they have great pork dishes so we dropped by for takeout on a Sunday afternoon and got the fried roast pork and the roasted pork belly. Being Canadian-born-Filipino, I've had my fair share of pancit and lumpia at family gatherings growing up. So when I was going to have some friends over for a bbq, I knew that I had to share this part of my childhood with them. There are not too many options for Filipino catering near Oshawa, so i was very happy to find Lechon Republik. I ordered a medium pancit mixed (both bihon and canton style) and 100 lumpia. The staff were very friendly and helpful when I was figuring out my order over email, and they were welcoming and excited when we went to pick up our food. The food was a hit with everyone, and as usual, was all gone by the end of the bbq. As soon as I took a bite of the pancit and lumpia, memories of my childhood instantly came back. 5/5, would relive childhood again. read more

I go to this place (just today @round 11:10AM) if I need to buy fast food for lunch or dinner. I tried the dinakdakan last December and my wife told me that the lady needs good customer service, Their dinakdakan meat is hard to bite. I ordered again today, and I tried to observe the lady. I asked for a free taste of dinakdakan, whether it was soft or hard. My mom observes her not-so-friendly behavior. I would suggest that, if you are the owner, try to smile a bit and welcome your Filipino customers. Their dinakdakan is not soft to bite the second time, but I still tried. i ask my hubby who is canadian to order our Christmas dinner at lechon republic ajax for their Christmas holiday special or menu. the order is supposed to be for 5 people. guess what we got. their noodles is only good for 2 people and their crispy pata is made out of bones and skin. as a filipino this is embarrassing, nothing to eat there is no meat on it. read more

Came here after swinging by the chatime grand opening. Had the combo (rice and 1 meat @ $8.51 tax in) so being the peanut butter lover that i am, i had the kare kare. I asked for take out and the portions are very generous. I only finished half. My take out of kare kare came with a generous side of ba goong (shrimp paste - super yums btw). They also serve halo halo here if you have a sweet tooth but i didnt try it. The cashier was a young lady who gave me a quick intro of each dish they served. Great restaurant in the Durham region for Filipino Food. Good selection and awesome service. It does get full quickly though so get there early. The Belly Lechon and Pork Barbecue is to die for. read more
