In his hay-day, I'm sure Dr. Lebovitz was great. He seems to have loyal patients. But you know what? I'm not old. I'm a new patient. And from my multiple visits I've learned that this doctor needs to upgrade his knowledge base. He's stuck in the 90's.
when I had a motorcycle accident and tore up my arm, he told me to buy stuff that was hardly even for sale anymore. i went to a medical supplier and bought expired stuff cause that's all they had. and then all of my follow up visits were greeted with "ok, come back and see me in a week". what a waste of a co-pay.
and when i had pink eye, he looked at it for 2 seconds then wrote me a prescription. turns out my pink eye was allergies related and went away after taking bendryl (thanks WedMD!).
and doctors should be in relatively good shape. and not have horrificly bad breath.
