From administration, check in/out and my doctor all made me feel at home and seemed genuinely interested in my wellbeing. I highly recommend this family practice. Both visits I have left in such a good mood because everyone is so nice and my doctor addressed my medical needs. Can't get prescriptions called in on time. Phone calls or e-mails are NEVER returned. But, boy they are "johnny-on-the-spot" when it comes to collecting those co-pays. Dr. Bland herself has a terrible "bedside manner." This is another example of trying to support "your own" as in a black-owned business and yet, once again, being disappointed in the results.

I I Ever experience ever went to Piedmont family medicine 10years ago when it was under different ownership. I did not have a good experience and was not allowed to switch practitioners since the owner was my primary. The rest of the staff was wonderful and the majority is still there. Now that the practice has been taken over and managed by Cone, It is one of the best practices I have ever experienced both personally and professionally Now that the practice has been taken over by Cone it is outstanding. She spent lots of time listening to my health concern, primarily high blood pressure and pain all over my body. My blood pressure continued to be a problem. In May, while out of town, I ended up in the hospital with severe dehydration. I went for my 6 months check up in July and all was still well with her but my blood pressure continued to climb as did my pain. Then Dr Baxley cancelled a follow up appt that I had scheduled. My medicine, all non narcotic, was unable to be filled. I asked to reschedule. At my appt, things had really changEd at her office. She had no time to talk, told me that I had fibromyalgia and I needed to be on Ambien and steroids. I have had very bad reactions to each and sincerely told her that I couldn't take those medications. While having my blood drown, she walked back and yelled at me that if I was not going to do what she said, she was going to drop me. I called my husband from the parking lot and he agreed that we would risk it. She prescribed the medicine. That night I ended up in the hospital. Since then, I have changed to a different doctor after landing myself a second time (via ambulance)in the hospital severely dehydrated. The doctor at High Point Regional hospital admitted me into intensive care. He took me off the blood pressure medicine suspecting that I might be suffering from the ill effects of the severe diuretic in my blood pressure medicine. I just celebrated the best Christmas and New Years ever. My Blood pressure is within normal range and I DO NOT HURT AT ALL! I suffered from dehydration and continuous flu like symptoms for 3 1/2 year and now I feel 100%. I am back in the gym, not just water aerobics but weight lifting and Zumba. I feel like a new person. If Dr. Baxley had really listened, she should have known. Find a doctor that is there for you. Never settle for yelling. By the way, the office did call and apologize for her actions and then she dropped me as a patient.

Staff was friendly, and quick to call me back, drew my blood and I was on my way in just a matter of minutes. So far my interactions have been positive, no excessive waiting, they seem to run on time, both nursing staff and front desk are friendly and helpful.
