I asked if she could at least check his vital signs. She told me I could drive him to the ER quicker than I could complete the paperwork. After those words my husband and I guided our son towards the door. All I said was, "ma'am Im really disappointed in you as person in healthcare" she look at me and said Ok. I will NEVER forget the feeling of hopelessness at that moment. We did not deserve that. Praise be to God my son was check out by the best ER nurse and doctor. They ran a battery of test on him and he is fine.

It was easy enough to make an appointment online, and there was a plethora of appointments available. I picked 9 am, hoping wait time wouldn't be too long. We were the first ones there, and we got checked in right away. The waiting room was clean and there was even a charging station! The nurse called us in less than 5 minutes, and because it was connected to Cone health network, all prior information was available to them, as well as the summary after-visit on My Charts. Both the nurse and the PA, listened to our concerns and I thought the care and check up was efficient and thorough. Lickety split, I had 3 RXs sent to the local pharmacy, and we were out in no time. One thing to keep in mind, even though you do make an appointment online, it will depend on what other emergencies come through, and typical approach of triage would dictate if someone comes in with a more serious issue, they might be seen before you. My advice always be prepared with an iPad, earbuds and a bottle of water! It will make wait times more palatable. Also recommend bringing in a mask.

Luckily, it is the same distance to High Point as it is to Greensboro. But there's a bunch more traffic in High Point tho. When you pull up, there's plenty of parking. Handicapped parking is right in front of the building. There's plenty of them available. There is no valet parking. I arrived early enough to park and grab the wheel chair. Everything is located in this one building. It is 3 levels. The Emergency Room is located to the left of the elevators past the pharmacy. There's no cafeteria. However there's fully stocked vending machines as well as a coffee machine. The hot drinks are $1. Who can beat that. We went to the 3rd floor to check Mommy in. It was super quick and they took us directly to the back. The advantage to being a smaller facility. Here we meet John. The most friendliest and funny RN/Med Tech. He made mom feel comfortable because this is a new facility. Older generation don't like change. John was cool. Down to earth. John turned us over to Tedora and she became our nurse for the duration of the day. Tedora is calm, caring and patient. Overall, we had a very smooth therapy session.

They provided anything I needed, including personal care items, specific dietary needs, and even entertainment. It was a scary time for me, and I could feel that the nursing staff were doing all they could to alleviate any anxiety I had. Even the dietary department mad me feel like a queen. There was limited number of things I could eat, but they made sure those items were fresh and delicious. I am so grateful for everyone involved in my care there. I have written on their cards to shout out each individual who I remembered, but I wanted to share my experience here has well. Something good is going on in Kernersville at this Hospital. Sometimes I am forced to visit less desirable clinics, because they are open during times that fit my schedule.

They would not allow me to go back with her because she had to take a drug test. Then they would not allow me to go back because "the rooms are small". Keep in mind, my wife was just attacked by dogs. A 90 minute visit and only 2 patients being seen in the office before we got there.
