I just wanted to add to my review that my opinion of this firm and Russ Kofman aka Rostislav Kofman is my opinion based upon my experience and I find it disturbing that he has tried to have my review removed after all the other negative disturbing reviews left about him and the firm for some strange reason my review is the one that seems upsetting to him. It is a FACT that because of the chargeback filed to my bank due to his two missed court appearances the Russ Kofman sent a associate attorney to court in August to make false statements about me to the court in an act of retaliation. I was contacted by Russ Kofman to delete my review since he feels like it hurt his firm reputation but I declined to do so which I have a legal right to do! I have been THREATENED with legal action of defamation just by telling my truth of what happened and it's not okay multiple former clients has spoken PUBLICLY about their experience with the firm and it's also been disturbing to hear that the firm has a strange pattern of lack of communication,little to no work done on the case or just ghosting their clients. I spoke with multiple attorneys after my experience with the firm and I was brought to realize that my experience with them caused more damage than good and that's not okay! When I did report Russ to the Grievance Committee they confirmed his name was "Rostislav Kofman" which I then googled him to see that he was involved in a murder investigation about a Groom Gregory Smith . There's a video on YouTube about this incident that shows his name and picture which I found very shocking and disturbing! And Yes I can honestly say that had I would of known this information sooner I wouldn't have retained this firm! I cannot recommend Lebedin and Kofman to anyone seeking dependable legal representation. After paying the retainer, communication dropped to nearly zero--emails and phone calls went unanswered for weeks on end. Despite promises, no significant progress was made on my case, and crucial court filings were neglected. To make matters worse, when it was time for my court date, no one from their team showed up, leaving me alone to face proceedings and manage all the associated fees myself. When I tried to get answers, they simply asked for more money and refused to show any proof of work they supposedly did. Stay away from this law firm. This firm "represented" me in a landlord/tenant dispute where I was the victim of identity theft. This went on for four years where this law firm was supposed to settle the case on my behalf. However I was assigned a different lawyer about every other 6 months until they stopped responding entirely. Then when I got a hold of them they asked for more money as my retainer had been depleted (how? I am not sure). Therefore I decided to represent myself, it took another 3 months and multiple emails to get them to recuse themselves from the case. Thereafter I went to the settlement conference representing myself and was able to settle that day. The opposing council as well as the court appointed mediator both informed me that they were never properly informed by my "attorneys" about the case and never presented any of the evidence. We hired Russ Kofman for a personal matter, which he didn't have experience for, but misled us to believe he did and took on the case. He sent his junior attorney to a court date instead of someone more experienced, which led to a delay. This set the precedent for the rest of our time with this firm, which was a very short 3 months before we decided the representation was lacking. We responsibly paid our bill in a timely manner as he requested, but when it was time for a refund he greedily kept most of the money we paid him, which was everything we had. He refunded a laughable amount, which may have been because he was retaliating for terminating the contract, but I'm not sure as we were honest and cordial with him. He doesn't have any integrity and exploits an already bad situation. We really trusted him when we had no where else to turn and in the end we got burned. These guys are the F*ing worst. After Arthur called me nonstop to secure the deposit post our initial consultation, they fell off the map, refused to call back, answer emails, etc. until I asked them to cancel our agreement. I then was put in contact with a different lawyer within the firm, who apologized for them not filing documents they said they already had, which resulted in multiple months of delays in even beginning my case, and assured me things would change. Things continued to be delayed, only for them to come back and tell me they couldn't actually help me resolve the case based on something they should have been able to identify months ago during due diligence before even taking my money when they said they could help. Now the one thing they assured me they'd get-- the hardship documents the loan company said they didn't have my signature on (which is the reason my loans went into default)-- they say wont help and are dragging their feet to file the requests on even though they already told me 2x they had filed for them. It's to the point where I feel like filing malpractice on these clowns. Do not, under any circumstances, expect this firm to help you. They're liars, and incompetent ones at that. read more

I hired Lebedin Kofman to handle some credit card judgments. They knew who the debt collectors for each card before I told you and let me know that they've worked with them before. They gave me guidance as to how to handle the debt settlement company that screwed me and they let me know the limits on how much could be garnished from my account. Over the course of a few months, they helped settle both accounts for a couple grand. For me me, it was well worth the cost. The only issue I had was that it was difficult to get a response from my assigned lawyer on occasion, so I really had to be aggressive to make sure I was being heard and getting responses. I also had to escalate to make sure I was getting responses. Definitely a budget-conscious lawyer. But for the small headaches, it was worth it compared to the massive hole they helped me dig out from. read more

Once you pay their fee prior to starting services with them, they tend to not accept your phone calls or return emails. So much so that there were crossed wires as to the services I wanted. I mean this guy was avail immediately before I gave them money. Afterwards, they go through contortions trying to dodge my calls. Some of the work they did, though it was not exactly what I wanted them to work on or why I hired them, was okay. Seems to be high turnover of paralegals - paralegals being the ppl you'll be dealing with since you can't get the lawyers to work with you. Had to hire other atty to do the work. On top of that, they had my bank card info and took money out of my account without my authorization and would text me at 1:30 am requesting payment for services they did not perform. THEY IGNORED ME when I expressed my concerns, and I have not heard from them. I had to hire a new attorney, and I filed a complaint with the Bar Association. Had one of them shown up, I would have been out in an hour. For the money I spent, a lawyer or at least a paralegal should have been here to move me up the queue. How much money did I lose today sitting here? Will the judge even see me today? It's 3:45. If I hired again I would not make my final payment until the case is 100% fully resolved. My husband found Russ online a couple of months ago. I was arrested when falsely accused of something by a patron at a restaurant. I was held at a precinct for questioning from 10:30pm until 5am when I found out I was being charged. Having no priors, someone versed in criminal law was not someone we had in our "rolodex"....my husband called several lawyers he found online at 5am. Russ was the first to call back (before 8am) and walked him through the realities of what to expect during the arraignment the following night (which he also attended at 8pm). He had me released without bail and worked with the DA to review tapes from the restaurant for almost 2 months. He took calls from me on the weekend and always immediately responded to emails, patiently answering all of my small and large questions. On my return to court, he arranged a private meeting with the DA for me to tell my side of the story - the case was dismissed and I was exonerated the same day. He even set me up with a lawyer to help me pursue a civil lawsuit for unlawful arrest. I will definitely be using Russ again to help me with a trademark and some design patents, but hopefully never again as a criminal lawyer. I have been blown away with the level of dedication, customer service and patience provided by this firm. My husband had acquired a large amount of debt from school (an education he was unable to finish due to extenuating circumstances) and that debt was always hovering over him.
