Located in the underground food court area (I think it's called the concourse) of Grand Central! This spot has been my go to stop and shine before any big client meetings I may have. The friendly shiners sit you down, and get right to it. Overall from my last three years of experience including today, I think they do a fantastic job every single time. Not a single spot missed, and always the highest glossy shine you could imagine. They also sell shoe insoles, laces, and etc. I believe my shine was $8. With a $5 tip, $13 bucks ain't bad to look tip top. Check it out!

    After fixing the handle

My Kate Spade bag handle broke. Called the Kate Spade store and the customer representative said she recommended Leather Spa over their own repair center since 1) it was past the warranty time period 2) leather spa is just as good with cheaper price (would've been over $100 to repair, she said) Lo and behold, $48 and 1week later, my bag handle is as good as new. The Leather spa guy warned me that there would be some stitch marks, but you can't tell unless you look very close. Very, very happy. Would recommend.

I had a 25-year-old Gucci belt, and they made it look brand new! I would definitely be using them again!

My Prada shoes was worn out and they restored it as if it was new. The quality were good. It was worth it to pay high price for the work.

This is a pedestrian's city, and taking care of one's shoes is critical to saving money, enhancing comfort, and making sure your shoes don't create a risk of injury. Because of this, neighborhoods here still have shoe repair shops staffed by people who are career artisans. When I returned to New York, finding a new shoe repair place was one of the first things I did. Fortunately, Cesar's is the place in my neighborhood. Cesar's is everything one could want in a neighborhood shoe repair shop. They are friendly, communicative, and the work they do is outstanding. I've brought in shoes for new heels and for resoleing, and every time I get back shoes that look brand new. I've also brought in shoes that they recommend not repairing, and each time they've walked me through the reasons why. Many places would just take the shoes and perform a repair they know won't last, but Cesar's staff value customers and will forego an easy buck if it means the customer will end up with an unsatisfactory result. I've also taken leather purses in to get straps repaired. They usually warn me that it will be a costly repair, and suggest weighing that against the cost of replacement. They show me what they will need to do and, importantly, estimate how long the straps will be once repaired. In addition to repair work, Cesar's stocks an incredible assortment of products. They have shoe polish in a host of colors and formulations, and will recommend which ones are best for your shoes. They have insoles, products for shoe cleaning and waterproofing, laces, and much more. Despite the small size of the store, everything is tidy and easy to find. And anyway, when was the last time you went to get your shoes repaired and were tempted to browse? PRO TIP: You pay when you drop off your shoes, not at pickup. And CASH (remember that?) ONLY.

How can you be so unprofessional? What's worse is when Erving spoke to his cobbler who allegedly has 38 yrs of experience, he denied having any part of my bags damages and simply said it must have been that way. No accountability or respect for people's nice things. So you're telling me that the paint stains that match the awful color you used to "fix" my bag are not your doing? I don't appreciate a liar, especially in business. Save yourself the nightmare of this lying cheating and downright nasty business. They will make you feel crazy when you are just trying to get answers about your item. This place will DESTROY you leather goods. Keep away from them. They then sent me to Leather Spa who claimed they had several customers bring in botched leather repairs similar to mine, but told me that the bag was so damaged that they could not promise to restore it. Remains to be seen how it will turn out. These guys could have just told me "no, we can't fix your item" .. they didn't have to mangle it.

What other choice did they leave me after cutting them too small to fit? Well... they gave me zero updates throughout the process and didn't return them until I followed up which seemed to magically happen at the exact moment they were ready. In all likelihood they'd been ready but they didn't want me to see what they did this time, and they were right to feel that way. The boots are now next level destroyed. The leather is scuffed and worn out all over the place to the point where there is a very, very obvious difference between the leather at the foot of the boot and the leather at the shaft which looks like it was beaten with a mallet. But that's not it! They're still two different sizes and still have crooked seams. I've sent photos and multiple messages and no one has even acknowledged me since they returned the boots like that. These are absolute scumbags who know what they did, won't take accountability, won't respond, and won't even credit me for the $318 I paid for them to ruin beyond repair boots that were $1,995 plus tax brought to them in brand new condition. Just scheduled time off from work to go to the court and file a small claim and I am FUMING that I need to do this. I sincerely hope this company goes out of business. You can see from the reviews here how little they care about the work they do to high value and often irreplaceable items and there is no room in this great city or anywhere for a business like that.
