My son is a junior in High School. He recently finished the Applerouth ACT online prep class. He…read morereally liked his tutor, Tom Burt. He said Tom was very knowledgeable, easy to understand and helpful. There was only one other student in his class. He liked the online format because it allowed him to take the class even when we were travelling for Spring Break. The folks at Applerouth were flexible when things came up. We decided to use our 2 hours of free one-on-one tutoring after we got the ACT results back. Tom focused on the specific areas where my son could improve his test scores the next time. We are pleased with the service and recommend it to others.

I wasted a LOT of money on extra resources that didn't help me understand HOW to answer the questions. She showed me how to read the question, understand what the question was asking, and how to answer it correctly. I went into my NCLEX with confidence and walked out a RN!! My only regret is that I didn't find her sooner! If you're on the fence about hiring a tutor, please think of it as an investment in YOU, and you're worth that, right?

Virginia is awesome for nursing students. At first I was kind of skeptical about paying for a…read moretutor when there are so many resources at the school that I can use and obviously paid for with my tuition. But then I thought it's an investment and how is paying for a tutor any different from paying for those ridiculously over priced books that I'm honestly never going to open again after nursing school. One thing about Virginia is that she offers lifelong techniques that can always be used. Not only does she tutor but she also offers "easy" non time consuming studying techniques and real tips on how to take and pass a test. She even gave us a practice test to show us how we may have been previously making mistakes which my have caused us an extra point. Her tutoring style is well structured and easily flows vs those (IMO) choppy all over the place lectures. I feel like I learned more in her 4 hour session than I did in the first 4 weeks of class. One of the things she said when we started the session was, if you follow her study techniques you can get a high B or A. At this point I'm thinking, yeah right, really, how? But make no mistake, with that statement that means that she's going to lay the foundation but YOU, yes, YOU, have to actually put in the work. She is awesome but please don't think that you'll just go to her session and that's where things will end and you'll pass. ABSOLUTELY NOT. Nursing school is hard so you still have to do your part. I have heard so many horror stories about med-surg and was so anxious at the start of this semester but after meeting with Virginia I feel so much more at ease. Needles to say on my first med-surg exam I got a 85.53%. Also note that this is my highest nursing school exam grade so far and my first time going to a tutor. Next up, the dosage exam. See you in 2 weeks Virginia:)

Below is a testimony for Ms. Aquilah Robinson, a Learnplistic tutor…read more Ms. Aquilah Robinson was a great tutor for our daughter who was struggling in Math. Like most kids in this COVID era, learning virtually was challenging for our 4th grader. Our daughter struggled to grasp her 4th grade Math concepts presented by her teacher. But with the websites, games and worksheets provided by Ms. Robinson, our daughter improved and gained more confidence in her math skills and even strengthened her reading skills. Considering our daughter has ADHD, Ms. Robinson was patient, kind yet stern in tutoring our daughter both virtually and in person. Ms. Robinson was timely, professional, and engaging with our daughter, which provided not only academia but social/behavioral skills that I believe our daughter will employ when returning to school. Skills like making time physical with a watch or clock, time management, and simply conversing with our daughter about her day, allowed our daughter to express herself and communicate her thoughts about tutoring. I would definitely recommend Ms. Robinson's services for tutoring. -Ms. Gwendolyn Owens
