I have nothing but wonderful things to say about CPS! My son is four years old and has been in the…read morepreschool class here since fall. He absolutely loves it, and has been thriving. His teachers, Mrs. Nelson and Mrs. Babcock are so sweet, always planning fun activities and supporting kids' learning at the stage their in. Over all it's play-based preschool program helping littles learn independence, social skills, and cooperation. Oh and it's' a co-op, meaning there is always one additional 'adult' in the room. They rotate between kids in class for their own 'special person days,' and on that day they bring along a parent/adult. I've really enjoyed my time participating in that and seeing first hand how the classroom flows. It really just gives parents the opportunity to be involved in their child's first school experience! They have great resources, like the parent portal and monthly newsletter, great fundraisers you can participate in, and off-site gatherings where families can get to know each other more. We started our son at the preschool level, but they do offer toddler classes as well. 10/10 recommend!

The teachers at Community have been there for years and come from strong teaching backgrounds, which was really important to us when choosing a preschool. We've had such a wonderful experience with my daughter's teachers, and she genuinely loves going to school each day. I also really value the opportunity for parents to be involved in the classroom because it has given me a clear window into what her experience is like each day. We truly couldn't feel more positive about our experience at Community Preschool.

Inexperienced, and to top things off I think its 2 years ago that they had been rated 5 stars. The Owner by the name of Jessica has a very inexperienced Director who's very attitudinal and rude!! Her name is Cese who had the audacity to comfort me about an issue in front of her staff very aggressively than got an attitude when I responded to her yet still as a professional, in hopes that she would calm down, but no she continued. When I called to voice my issue with the way she had addressed me before going to my job where I services clients every day on how to remain professional. She took the side of her Director as excepted.. I thought I would get a more professional environment dealing with this Childcare center, total opposite. The staff are very inappropriately dressed, I wasn't sure who my child was with at times because the attire is so relaxed. Just an awful experience. I wouldn't recommend this Haunted House to any one. The kids seemed possessed and brainwashed with no personality, and I am speaking of 2yr olds. We only lasted a few weeks. Be wised when choosing Childcare for your Kids. Everything that says 5 star just isn't!! Pleased to say that my child will enroll into an much better Development Center next week. I recently was given a wonderful tour of Journey21, which is best described on their own website:…read more "Journey21 was founded in 2021 with a mission to provide safe, supportive, and enriching living and learning options for adults with intellectual or developmental disabilities (IDD) in Waukesha County and surrounding communities. Our vision is a day when every adult with IDD has accessible, meaningful opportunities for education, employment skill development, social activities, and can live independently in the home of their choice." As I entered the building, I was in a bright and welcoming foyer, which set the tone for the entire location. Every staff member was beyond friendly, and there is obviously great pride in their work. Educational areas are superbly well-appointed, organized, and calm. While state-of-the-art technology was evident everywhere, there is also a very personal and hands-on strategy in each classroom. Very detailed activity schedules are posted clearly, and I could not think of anything that could be missing. I met some of the students and saw happy and well cared for individuals. The future will include residential living next to this academy. I can see this becoming a huge benefit for so many IDD adults and their families. But, I am also very impressed that decisions and plans are made with no rush, but with true intention. And I feel all decisions are made with every member at the forefront of these choices. Simply put, this is a wonderful asset to the area and those who need specialized education. I am so impressed and will continue to follow the progress of Journey21 as they expand and grow.
