My daughter has been in the Infant room for six months now and I have no complaints! The caretakers are so kind and loving! They encourage each child's development and work on a variety of skills that I didn't even think my daughter was capable of (sippy cups, independent feeding, etc). They do social meal/snack time, two circle times each day and "field trips" to the library! The staff is great at communicating both positive stories about her day and things my daughter needs. The administration is also very caring and highly knowledgeable! I love this school so much I've recommended it to multiple friends who are having babies and two have decided to put their daughters in the facility as well! read more

My family has been in numerous daycare situations for various reasons, and having seen and experienced what is out there, hands down Learning Stages was my favorite preschool for my kids. This is a warm, inviting environment where I always felt my kids were happy and getting an excellent early education. Communication was also excellent and I never once felt out of the loop. It's also nice to be able to check in on them during the day with their camera system, and I always felt like I could approach Ms. Lety (The Director) or any of the teachers if I had any concerns. Most importantly, I really felt like each and every employee there really cared about my kids and knew their names. And that support for my kids was the same when they were at their best AND at their worst. As I have said, I have experienced a variety of other childcare situations, and there are plenty of bad situations out there. I've had providers lie to me about incidents, I've seen them not care at all about the child/adult ratios, I've seen them create cold-sterile environments where the kids never felt welcome, I've seen them treat us more like a paycheck than a partner in our kid's growth and development, and, believe it or not, I've even had a childcare provider trying to hide a recent child endangerment arrest! Between my older daughter and my two youngest, I've seen a huge variety of child care options. Trust me when I say this place is great. The ONLY reason we left was because we moved to be closer to the kids grandparents, otherwise we would have stayed with Learning Stages until the last kid was in Elementary school. This child care center has violations for child restraint of 2 year olds. My child's experience was not a great one after my child was old enough to go to the Pre-K 3 classroom. The Pre-K 3 teachers yelled often and the students were told that "police officers" will get the children who are bad. The teachers would bring children to the door to show them police officers if one dropped off their child. The director shared personal information about my child with other parents which is not appropriate. The video camera system has blind spots so everything is not always seen. Also most of the reviews are written by the director's daughter to play up the child care center. read more

If you're looking for a safe place to take care of your child, Learning Stages is THE BEST!!! This has been the best daycare anyone could ever ask for! The teachers and the office managers have watched my daughter since July 2014, and have taught me how to be the best mom I could be. They all ensure that our children are treated like family and are protected throughout the day when we can't be by their side. Learning Stages is open 6:30am to 6:30pm. They take babies and kids up to age 5 (pre-k). Tuition includes lunch, morning snack, and afternoon snack. There is an option for breakfast that you can sign up for. The staff is always friendly, kind, and accommodating. They really care about children and their parents. Kids are encouraged to learn without undue pressure. Frankly, I was impressed that my 4 year old has learned to read many words and can write many letters already. I also appreciate how the teachers encourage good values and social skills. And they have a daily communication folder where the teacher lets parents know how their kid did that day, how much they ate and napped, etc. In the summer, they try to bring in fun activities like puppet shows, petting zoo animals, and sprinklers for the kids to run through. My daughter likes to look at the photos of her and her friends posted on the hallway wall and tell us about the activities they had done. Even better is if those photos were available for download. The school offers a variety of resources for parents, such as free parenting classes and a lending library. And just about every month, there are special programs for parents to join such as parties, Thanksgiving lunch, and student performances. Most parents go, so your kid will probably give you a guilt trip if you don't take off work to attend. It's also a good time to check out the frenemy your kid is always talking about and to contextualize the kiddie drama that goes on during the day. Or you can use the classroom webcam to check in on your kid (they actually give you instructions for logging in). You can pay weekly or monthly. However you have to pay for the entire week. There is no option to have your kid there for just few days a week. They emphasize learning and try to make it like school which kids have to go to every day (to which my kid responds as any kid responds when they have to wake up for school every morning). There are options for additional activities such as soccer or ballet class. However, you have to pay extra for those. Otherwise your child cannot attend. So your kid may give you a guilt trip on that too. At least mine does. Lastly, I must mention that the playground outside has a black tar gravel of some kind. It has ruined all of my kid's pink, white, beige, and red pants. The only pants we can buy now are jeans and black pants. Overall, a great option for full-time working parents. Not a good option for parents who need just a few days off from taking care of their kids. It's sort of an all or nothing deal. read more

Our 2 yr old has been attending Learning Stages for a little over 8 months now with our youngest joining the school in August. He absolutely loves his teachers. They are very hands on with each child addressing their needs and teaching them how to express themselves in a healthy manner. Each morning we are greeted with a smile and a "good morning" by each staff member we pass. They also call our son by his name even though he may not be in their class. This is something we noticed right from the start. The staff takes the time to know each child and make them feel welcome. We have loved Learning Stages from the start. Our child has truly blossomed because his teachers treat him as their own. The director is extremely active in the school. Leaving your child/children with "strangers" is hard enough, but Lety communicates with us on a regular basis not to mention the camera system has always put me at ease. We are so appreciative of her and how well the staff handles our son. I will be the first to admit our son is not always well behaved. Learning Stages has been great for our infant. She lights up every morning when I drop her off, and they are great about keeping me informed about her development and needs. She comes home with art projects often, and they keep track of what she does and when she does it (eat, sleep etc.). I wish they had automatic bill pay, and I wish they gave discounts during holidays (i.e. if they are closed on a Monday for holiday, that week still costs the same as a full week) but this was one of the most affordable options in the area regardless. We have been members of the Learning Stages family for a very long time. Our son started attending school there when he was 2yrs old. Our daughter started there when she was 7 months old. My son is now 6 and daughter 3. The staff there does an amazing job of taking care of the kids. You can feel the passion and the love they have for the kids as soon as your walk in the door. When my son started Pre-K he was much further ahead than a lot of the kids because of the great work they do at Learning Stages. I would highly recommend anyone to send their kids there. I cannot say enough about how much I love this day care and school. I do not work for them although this may seem like an ad for them!! I had all 3 of my children at Learning Stages from the time they were about 2 months old. The oldest was there until she graduated to Kindergarten and we would have kept the youngest up until Kindergarten as well had we not moved out of state. My oldest entered Kindergarten from LS already reading at a 2nd grade level. Our children altogether had been with Learning Stages for about 7 years until we moved, and we drove our children an extra 20 minutes the opposite direction of our jobs to keep them there. The learning environment is structured, which we liked. They provide a hot lunches and snacks in the morning and afternoon. We loved having our children there and trusted the staff. They genuinely care for the children and even now, many of the staff stay in touch with us out-of-state. We now have a nanny, and I have to say, we still wish we could go back to Learning Stages. They provide loving care and try to educate and encourage along the way. The director, Ms Leti, has been there the entire time, is very organized, and always took our suggestions to heart. Any time we had even a remote concern or suggestion, she would act quickly with professionalism and with the children's best interest at heart. I speak from long-time experience with Learning Stages. They focus on reading and problem-solving from day one, including infancy! My 3 year old is already writing his name and they are very consistent with their discipline. This is by far, the best pre-school / daycare for your child. The staff and administration are so friendly, they make you feel very welcome the minute you walk in the door. They are always smiling and encouraging the kids. The food they serve is very nutritious. At the end of the day, they watch a video in the library, which my daughter loves, but there was one scary video they had and we asked to have it removed. It was done immediately and without any arguments. During the summer, they have a "camp", that includes soccer and field trips. My daughter really enjoys playing outside. I usually don't write reviews, but I have to write for Learning Stages! I can't express in words how much I love this school. The teachers are great, very loving and are awesome people. Ms. Lety, the director, is always there if you need to talk. She is amazing. My daughters have been with them since 2013 and I do trust them 100%. I have checked other schools around that area and even Sugarland, but I couldn't find any better than Learning Stages. They are very clean and organized, which for me is a plus too. My daughters are on Prek I and the other on prek II and both of them have homeworks. Write the letter, names, sight words, very nice homeworks that you can work with your child. Also, my 5 year old is getting reading homeworks, which is great. They definitely prepare your child for the next step. Love you guys from Leraning Stages! I found this school online through a Google search and immediately went take a tour. I love how they treat it more like a school instead of a daycare, with field trips, art and music class and outdoor play time. I feel like it will prepare my daughter for when she begins Kindergarten. The director, Letty, is very friendly and helpful and doesn't get irritated when you call to check on your baby daily for the first week she's there :) They have an excellent menu for the children, that doesn't consist of the typical chicken fingers and pizza, but nutritional and diverse items. They do not have a single violation on the DFPS website and they are incredibly reasonable with their prices. Some of the teachers do not speak English very well, but my kiddo is attended to and taken care of very well. They also have webcams, which you're allowed to access for your child's room. I love that I'm able to see my kiddo whenever I'm not able to be right there with her. It really puts my mind at ease. read more

Absolutely love this place. I have no negative comments, all but good things. My daughter started there when she was 3 months old. The caretaker ladies helped a lot with the transition from home to daycare. They respect your decision on how to manage breast-milk and they are great on keeping parents informed about the child's day. I personally like the fact that the parents have access to the indoor camera, so I can watch my little one every now and then from work. Now, I am not a huge review writer but for this, it is a must (because it IS so important when choosing care for our children). If you want to place your infant, toddler or preschooler is a private school with teachers that sincerely care for each child on a very individual basis, a great director who is always available and able to respond to questions or concerns, a school that has a wonderful curriculum where your child learns things like verbal, math, reading, critical thinking, interaction and emotional skills and on top of that always has extra curricular activities going on for the children (even have field trips that come to them to keep the little ones fascinated and excited about each day and new learning adventure).... and that is also affordable (as if everything else isn't enough) - then you need to PICK THIS DAY-CARE/SCHOOL for your child or at least pay them a visit while you are looking around. I truly love Learning Stages, Inc. and all of the staff there so much. I really believe in what they are doing there. My child (turning three next month) has been going there for over a year and a half now and I fully intend to keep him there until his is too old to go and has to start public school. I feel so blessed to have found Learning Stages and would happily recommend it to any parent!!!! From taking him from a at home day care to a school environment, it is absolutely incredible the progress I have seen in him through what he has been learning there. :) I am one happy and proud momma! read more
