I can't rave about this place enough! I absolutely adore Daniel, Bella and the entire staff! Every morning when I drop off, everyone says hello to Ellie and shower her with affection. Even teachers that haven't been in her class before make it a point to say "Good Morning" and complement her or give her a hug. Ellie usually walks through and waves to everyone like she owns the place. She's been learning so much from them too! She sings a ton of different songs and every day she comes home with something new to say or sing. We just had another baby and can't wait for him to start there too. We have been considering moving to a different county but this day care is what is holding us back for now. That's how much we adore this place! If you're on the fence about choosing a day care center, let me tell you, you won't be disappointed with Kiddie Academy of Centreville! Original 2016: We have been enrolled at Kiddie Academy for 3 months now. At first visit, we loved this place because the smaller classrooms and the video streaming capability. But the hours and the prices weren't comparable to the area. So we went with a different daycare initially. After a horrific ordeal with that other place, we decided as parents that we would make this decision for our infant, not because of money or convenience and I am so glad that we did. Somehow, we are able to make it work scheduling wise and it's about more expensive than other places but we were able to make that work too. The staff is absolutely amazing! The kids love their teachers, the parents love the staff and the communication I get from Kiddie Academy is more than I could have imagined. I get pictures and updates through the app and able to log on and see my kid anytime of the day. I can't believe there aren't ANY reviews out here for them because this place is amazing!

When we walk out the door after this week, we will be saying goodbye to many of the same faces we have said hello to most mornings for the past 6 years. We obviously like the school a lot to have stayed this long. The location is hidden away in a wooded alcove of a busy shopping center. The classes are divided by age among 6 separate classrooms, each with a door leading out to an age-appropriate playground. They provide food as part of the tuition (except for that pesky Covid year) and have excellent hours 6:30am-6:30pm. The staff has a good blend of faithful educators, caring nurturers, elementary teachers gaining experience for their bright futures, mothers working what they know, college students, and more. This school offers a lot in the way of life skills, enrichment, pre-school education, and social skills. They potty trained both of my children. My youngest will start Kindergarten as an independent reader and his attendance at CBA was a big factor. I was looking back at photos of my children that CBA shares through the Tadpoles app and the sheer amount of creative enrichment and educational activities are unrivaled. This is a corporate facility. It follows corporate rules, and I have not always agreed with them, but the overall return on investment has been demonstrated. I've seen this place improve in so many ways over the years. I have trusted this facility with the two most important people in my life, knowing that they were safe and nurtured. As a bonus, I'm certain they came out as smarter, braver, more caring little humans ready to soar in grade school and beyond. Thank you, CBA! We'll miss you!

I'm giving 1 star, because I can't give 0 TL:DR - Full explanation and story below. Conclusion: This is a school who only take pride in keeping kids who only does well from the day 1. This is a school who is not willing to put in efforts to teach a child, and get him accustomed to a school environment and the school systems and policies. This school treated my child like a product that they are only looking after because we are pay them, and since the product that they are looking after had a possibility of causing problems later for other products in their storage, they dropped the service. The principle is very business minded, and only worried about selling services for the children who would do well, not new to their system. If you don't do well, you will be dropped w/o any hesitation. On yea, sending him home on his 3rd day, what a brilliant mind set of a teacher. Principle? That's a bad joke. She should call herself a manager. Her assistant principle is a hell of a better teacher. She should learn from her on how to be a teacher. And being a manager like her, instead of an actual principle, will ruin the reputation of the school that she works for. https://www.reddit.com/r/Preschoolers/comments/145a6yu/do_not_send_your_children_to_chesterbrook_academy/

I found him when I went to pick him up. They claimed they would be investigating the incident, but then never followed up. They never formally documented this via incident report for my signature. Had I not shown up when I did, I don't know if they would have informed me of this incident. 2) December 2022: My son was exposed to sexually inappropriate behavior from an older student enrolled at KinderCare. The staff apologized and said that they would "setup a program that talks about keeping hands to yourself". Again, this was never formally documented via incident report for my signature. Had my son not told me this happened, I would not have known. 3) December 2022: My daughter has a life-threatening food allergy to sesame, and I provided the center with epinephrine, Benedryl, and specific instructions provided by her allergist. On her last day, I asked to have these items back, to which they responded that there "must have been a loss of communication" because the items expired in October (it's now December) and thrown out. I was never notified, which means that my daughter has been attending school for 2+ months without access to life-saving medication. Not only is this absolutely negligent, THIS IS ILLEGAL (look up Elijah's Law in Virginia). To say that I am furious is an understatement, and I hope that NO ONE'S child ever suffers because their system for keeping medication properly stored is severely flawed. If you have children enrolled here that need access to medication, go ahead and ask them to show you where it's stored and see if it's accessible. It's likely that they threw it away and never told you, and your child is in danger. My top priority is always and WILL always be the safety of my children. The above incidents are not a result of "accidents" that happen due to watching toddlers. These are preventable safety issues that could be avoided if the staff here properly cared for these children. If your children aren't enrolled here and you're exploring options, look somewhere else.

I told this school back in July with Ms. Chady, she walked me through every step of the way. Not only did she explain the curriculum but she also showed so much passion of teaching and the love of God. My son is in Ms. Brittany class alongside Ms. Ray and with the help of Ms.Ann. I cannot say how much love they give my son and my niece. They come home and they know the words of the song they are learning, they say prayer before eating, they not only know the alphabet but they associate words and pictures with each letter they are learning. There is a teacher there (not his) whose son is also named Seojoon. Her name is Yunwoo Choi. My daughter attended the Westfields school from 3 months until she was almost five. We moved to Texas in December and the hardest part of the relocation, for all of us, was leaving Beantree. My daughter STILL talks about her friends and teachers, wondering what they are doing, wondering if they miss her. The new pre-school we enrolled her in was great, but there's was always that little something missing that we got during our Beantree years. My daughter is a smart, kind, strong, brave, empathetic, engaging, and compassionate leader. I can't help but thank Beantree for being part of molding her. Of course we take credit as her parents, but she also spent 4 days a week (8-9 hours per day) at school. They reinforced the values we taught her at home . . and we continued the momentum of what she learned at school, it was a partnership. My husband and I are essential workers. They stayed open during the early days of COVID, and she was one of the few that continued with school. I remember watching Ms. Blanca diligently cleaning each chair with a tub of soapy water. It gave me the sense that they cared as much about her health as I did. Just like any relationship, there were a few bumps along the way, but it was nothing major and it was always something we could talk through and agree upon a resolution. I admit that the tuition is quite pricey, but I never had to worry about whether my child was learning or safe. The whole staff was amazing, but I definitely want to shout out the Day 1s that were with her for the entire journey: Ms. Paula, Ms. Rnee, Ms. Ranika, Ms. Sam, Ms. Megan, Ms. Michelle, Ms. 'Nessa, Ms. Tee Tee, Ms. Lauren, Ms. Jean Ms. Amanda, Ms. Danielle, Ms. Katherine, Ms. Anne, Ms. Miranda, Ms. Jacky, Ms. Skylar, Ms. Giatra, Mr. Scott, Ms. Olesya!! I knew even before having to change centers; honestly there is no other childcare center that can compare. I miss BeanTree! Here's some of the main things I love about beantree that I can't find anywhere else: * The education and educators. Even if a school has great curriculum & lesson plans, it's all about the delivery. At BeanTree even in a large class room, smaller groups of children are assigned to one teacher so they receive more customized, one on one care & education. The ratios are also smaller than required by licensing. Every child receives individual attention throughout the day. Teachers form bonds with each child. * Staffing. There are always plenty of friendly, helpful ladies at the front desk to monitor people coming & going and to help. At other daycares, more often than not, the front desk is empty throughout the day. That makes me uncomfortable for more than one reason, even with all the top security measures. Also, at BeanTree there are plenty of teacher floaters who cover for lead teachers breaks. The teachers at BeanTree are provided with several breaks (I found it to be way more than average) that I believe are so necessary. Everyone need time to decompress and prepare lesson plans etc. * Full time cleaning staff. There are ladies dedicated to cleaning the center FT daily. The center is always very clean. * Separate eating areas in each classrooms. The children leave the eating area after meals & the janitorial staff come in to clean so the teachers can concentrate on the children. * Specials included in tuition: music, Spanish & art are provided by a teacher specializing in that subject and in their own separate classroom. When visiting the special rooms, the children are kept in the smaller, assigned groups. Also, visits to the indoor gym, pagoda (kind of another version of indoor gym with a sandbox) & outdoor water park during the summer are all part of your child's daily routine. * sunscreen is provided by the center and applied to every child every time before they go outside. * Diapers/pull-ups, wipes, diaper ointment is provided by the center and diapers are name brand (huggies/pampers) same that I use at home * Regular analysis of your child's milestones/abilities. With each classroom my child went though, I was provided with a report of how she was growing/learning & her milestones etc. they made the report into keepsake posters with photos. Love! Although I now have my child at what I believe to be the best center in the area, I feel her quality of education is way below what she received with BeanTree. Everything is done as a classroom of 20 something 2 year olds. She hardly gets individual attention, none of the children do. The way almost all other centers are ran, it's just not set up for teachers to have the time and ability to spend individual time with each child. She is still in the same age group room (early preschool) but she's is one of the very few children who are fully potty trained where at BeanTree almost all of her friends were also potty trained when she left. I fully credit miss Michelle and miss Morgan at BeanTree - they have a system & it works! I just keep telling myself that her current center is great and if I didn't know any different I would be more impressed with them also haha.
