I don't feel like I have the right words to fully capture how incredible this preschool is, but…read moreI'll do my best. We are truly grateful for our time at Centreville Preschool Inc. (CPI). Every detail, from curriculum planning to fundraisers and school events, is thoughtfully planned with so much care and love. The staff genuinely wants to help shape the future of our children, and that meant everything to me when choosing a preschool. As a parent who values being involved and understanding what my child is learning, I can confidently say their communication is exceptional. You truly feel included and informed every step of the way. Having parents as part of the staff and welcomed into the classroom creates a strong sense of community and gave us such peace of mind when sending our child to their first preschool. I cannot thank the CPI staff, teachers, and families enough for the kindness, support, and care they've shown not only to our family, but to all families. This is a wonderful place to send your little one, especially if you value being involved in their education. I highly recommend CPI to anyone looking for a preschool. We look forward to sending our future children to CPI and continuing to be part of the CPI family.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel an obligation to other parents to share our experience…read more My daughter attended this preschool until recently, when she was violently bitten by another child--an incident that was both shocking and heartbreaking. What made this even more distressing was that this child had reportedly shown concerning, aggressive behavior for months. My daughter (like other children in the class) became afraid to go to school because of this child and started to pretend to be sick on schooldays. Multiple parents raised concerns and filed formal complaints, hoping the school would put proper support systems, supervision, and communication in place. Unfortunately, nothing meaningful ever happened. I want to be clear: I don't blame the child. Children who act out physically are almost always struggling in some way and need gentle, consistent support from the adults responsible for their care. My heart truly goes out to this little one. Children show us they need help in the only ways they know how--and it's the school's job to respond appropriately. The problem here was the school's complete lack of action. They did not communicate effectively with parents, including (shockingly) the parents of the child involved in the ongoing behavior. That lack of communication appears to have allowed a difficult situation to escalate unnecessarily, ultimately hurting multiple families. After my daughter was bitten, we made the immediate decision to withdraw her. What stunned me most was what happened next: nothing. No exit interview. No request for feedback. No inquiry about why we were leaving. No apology. Not even a word from her teacher. We simply unenrolled her the next day, and the school never acknowledged it at all. This was an incredibly disappointing and disheartening ending to what we hoped would be a nurturing environment. I sincerely hope the school takes a long, hard look at its communication practices and its responsibility to support all children--both the ones being hurt and the ones doing the hurting. Kids deserve better, and so do parents.

I can't rave about this place enough! I absolutely adore Daniel, Bella and the entire staff! Every morning when I drop off, everyone says hello to Ellie and shower her with affection. Even teachers that haven't been in her class before make it a point to say "Good Morning" and complement her or give her a hug. Ellie usually walks through and waves to everyone like she owns the place. She's been learning so much from them too! She sings a ton of different songs and every day she comes home with something new to say or sing. We just had another baby and can't wait for him to start there too. We have been considering moving to a different county but this day care is what is holding us back for now. That's how much we adore this place! If you're on the fence about choosing a day care center, let me tell you, you won't be disappointed with Kiddie Academy of Centreville! Original 2016: We have been enrolled at Kiddie Academy for 3 months now. At first visit, we loved this place because the smaller classrooms and the video streaming capability. But the hours and the prices weren't comparable to the area. So we went with a different daycare initially. After a horrific ordeal with that other place, we decided as parents that we would make this decision for our infant, not because of money or convenience and I am so glad that we did. Somehow, we are able to make it work scheduling wise and it's about more expensive than other places but we were able to make that work too. The staff is absolutely amazing! The kids love their teachers, the parents love the staff and the communication I get from Kiddie Academy is more than I could have imagined. I get pictures and updates through the app and able to log on and see my kid anytime of the day. I can't believe there aren't ANY reviews out here for them because this place is amazing!

I had my son (4) and daughter (2) enrolled here, and am…read moreimmediately taking them out due to the following: 1) September 2022: My son was left outside with another 4-year-old and the teachers were all unaware. I found him when I went to pick him up. They claimed they would be investigating the incident, but then never followed up. They never formally documented this via incident report for my signature. Had I not shown up when I did, I don't know if they would have informed me of this incident. 2) December 2022: My son was exposed to sexually inappropriate behavior from an older student enrolled at KinderCare. The staff apologized and said that they would "setup a program that talks about keeping hands to yourself". Again, this was never formally documented via incident report for my signature. Had my son not told me this happened, I would not have known. 3) December 2022: My daughter has a life-threatening food allergy to sesame, and I provided the center with epinephrine, Benedryl, and specific instructions provided by her allergist. On her last day, I asked to have these items back, to which they responded that there "must have been a loss of communication" because the items expired in October (it's now December) and thrown out. I was never notified, which means that my daughter has been attending school for 2+ months without access to life-saving medication. Not only is this absolutely negligent, THIS IS ILLEGAL (look up Elijah's Law in Virginia). To say that I am furious is an understatement, and I hope that NO ONE'S child ever suffers because their system for keeping medication properly stored is severely flawed. If you have children enrolled here that need access to medication, go ahead and ask them to show you where it's stored and see if it's accessible. It's likely that they threw it away and never told you, and your child is in danger. My top priority is always and WILL always be the safety of my children. The above incidents are not a result of "accidents" that happen due to watching toddlers. These are preventable safety issues that could be avoided if the staff here properly cared for these children. If your children aren't enrolled here and you're exploring options, look somewhere else.

When we walk out the door after this week, we will be saying goodbye to many of the same faces we have said hello to most mornings for the past 6 years. We obviously like the school a lot to have stayed this long. The location is hidden away in a wooded alcove of a busy shopping center. The classes are divided by age among 6 separate classrooms, each with a door leading out to an age-appropriate playground. They provide food as part of the tuition (except for that pesky Covid year) and have excellent hours 6:30am-6:30pm. The staff has a good blend of faithful educators, caring nurturers, elementary teachers gaining experience for their bright futures, mothers working what they know, college students, and more. This school offers a lot in the way of life skills, enrichment, pre-school education, and social skills. They potty trained both of my children. My youngest will start Kindergarten as an independent reader and his attendance at CBA was a big factor. I was looking back at photos of my children that CBA shares through the Tadpoles app and the sheer amount of creative enrichment and educational activities are unrivaled. This is a corporate facility. It follows corporate rules, and I have not always agreed with them, but the overall return on investment has been demonstrated. I've seen this place improve in so many ways over the years. I have trusted this facility with the two most important people in my life, knowing that they were safe and nurtured. As a bonus, I'm certain they came out as smarter, braver, more caring little humans ready to soar in grade school and beyond. Thank you, CBA! We'll miss you!

I'm giving 1 star, because I can't give 0 TL:DR - Full explanation and story below. Conclusion: This is a school who only take pride in keeping kids who only does well from the day 1. This is a school who is not willing to put in efforts to teach a child, and get him accustomed to a school environment and the school systems and policies. This school treated my child like a product that they are only looking after because we are pay them, and since the product that they are looking after had a possibility of causing problems later for other products in their storage, they dropped the service. The principle is very business minded, and only worried about selling services for the children who would do well, not new to their system. If you don't do well, you will be dropped w/o any hesitation. On yea, sending him home on his 3rd day, what a brilliant mind set of a teacher. Principle? That's a bad joke. She should call herself a manager. Her assistant principle is a hell of a better teacher. She should learn from her on how to be a teacher. And being a manager like her, instead of an actual principle, will ruin the reputation of the school that she works for. https://www.reddit.com/r/Preschoolers/comments/145a6yu/do_not_send_your_children_to_chesterbrook_academy/

I told this school back in July with Ms. Chady, she walked me through every step of the way. I cannot say how much love they give my son and my niece. Policy and payment warning! If you're considering Clifton Children's Academy, please pay very close…read moreattention to all paperwork. While you'll not find all of the payment information in one place, you'll soon find that you're doling out a lot of money up front that will be returned to you under NO circumstances. First, you'll pay a "registration fee." Then, you'll pay "reserve tuition," which is equivalent to a full month's payment, for which you will receive NO services. And if you later decide to use a fewer number of days, this fee will NOT be reduced. THEN, also up front, you will pay 20-60% of the full year's tuition. Now, you may think that that payment is not an additional fee because the 20% supposedly covers the last two months of the 10-month school year. HOWEVER, in the fine print, there is the stipulation that these funds will be forfeited if the school determines that there are "behavioral" issues with your child. I have not met many behaviorally perfect 3-5 year old children! While I am not saying that this school will expel your child and keep your money on false pretenses, the payment policies are a perfect setup for that sort of thing to happen. It could happen that you pay over 70% of a full YEAR'S tuition (not a small amount, in my world) and forfeit it with very little service given. If you have that kind of money to spare, are confident that your child will have no "behavioral" problems, and feel that this school will be able to provide a competent educational experience for your child, then proceed with enrollment! Otherwise, caveat emptor! I have never encountered this sort of payment policy trap anywhere else, but I have learned the expensive lesson to watch for it in the future.
