On two different occasions I have taken the time out of my day to donate and due to "staffing" issues the office manager has wasted my time driving to the facility to ultimately tell me "face to face" that she doesn't have the adequate personnel to draw blood. Waste of time and you would expect better from the Red Cross.

The offices are bare bones, the salaries are not padded (I can attest to this, having worked there several years ago) so a very high portion of donations goes to the people who need it. Some of the services that they offer the community are Meals on Wheels, Kosher Cafe which is a social outlet for seniors, youth groups, food pantry, counseling, an aging in place agency and more. These services are all in high demand in the community and JFCS does a good job publicizing their offerings to make sure the people they serve know what is available. A great, dedicated staff offering great services to the community.

Finally a consignment with high quality sweaters in small sizes! The quality of clothing here is gently pre-owned, with some vintage brand names sprinkled throughout. I will say that the furs are a bit of a deal considering that they don't smell like they've absorbed 30 years of smoke the fur lays smooth, and still they have all their buttons. The men's section is decent too with more American vintage brands, made to last. Lots of fun silk ties and sashes, and plenty of sporting coats for all of your scholarly needs. The one thing I didn't like about this shop was the young customers! Loudly complaining about the prices, and minor defects in some of the clothes. Most of the items in this shop are statement pieces or items designed to last. You are not going to find prices akin to temu or shein for well made items! They've got support groups galore and everyone that works there wants you to feel comfortable and safe as soon as you enter. I personally know dozens of people whose lives have been SAVED by Hitops and no doubt there are hundreds more out there. Just drop by, they will welcome you with open arms and ensure that you are helped with whatever problem may plague you.
