Following my first review, my kids got lice 3 times in 6 months here. The staff did not clean the school after these outbreaks and lied to parents. I had to pull my kids because this was not being taken seriously enough. Happy to report they haven't had lice since and their new school is incredible. read more

My children have been attending Leaps and Bounds for about six months and the experience has been very positive. The staff is consistently warm and friendly and my kids have great relationships will all staff, not just with their teachers . The activities provided foster learning and social skills and significant growth has been observed in both children since they've started. The daycare started off great, my baby has been enrolled since December of last year when she was 14 months. Unfortunately after she enrolled she had multiple ear infections leading to hearing loss and surgery. We still paid for all of that time. She had been sent home multiple times for eye discharge, which I understood was for the sake of all the kids. I've also been warned that I might possibly need to pick her up shortly after drop off because there weren't enough infants in the class. My husband witnessed a child being checked in that had pink eye, and when the parent said it wasn't contagious they were accepted to the school. Three days later my daughter was sent home and I was informed a teacher and several students had pink eye and that there was an outbreak She developed fever, and congestion over the weekend and while waiting for Covid results she began draining from the ears to an emergent rate and I was informed she had H influenzae type b HiB, which she's vaccinated so her symptoms are less severe, but she's now on three forms of antibiotics and I feel like, the standards of this school dropped. The teachers that have remained, ms Linda, ms destiny, and ms Melissa have been nothing but kind, but standard of care is the reason we won't bring her back or recommend anymore. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. My daughter's hair was cut around April of 2022 on the car trip back to the center. No employees noticed. I realized when I took down her braids and about 6 inches of hair came off. My daughter was only 5 at the time and started crying when I asked about it. She told me a little girl in the program took scissors to her hair and she was too scared to talk about it. The daycare made excuses for the little girl who did it. They didn't follow up or give a consequence at all. The parents weren't notified to my understanding because they didn't think she was capable of it. My daughter was exceptional and well liked because she is so gentle and considerate. Then the white daycare female employee said "nigger" in front of me multiple times when she was retelling what she THOUGHT she heard my brother say! She didn't censor it with "n word" or "the child said the n word with hard er" she SAID IT IN MY FACE! Then justified it saying she wasn't racist. It felt racy to me that she felt comfortable enough to say it in my face as an African American more than once! My brother and daughter were pulled from the program because we felt uncomfortable for their emotional, physical, and mental safety. I do NOT suggest this establishment at all. It is very unprofessional and protocols are haphazard. read more

My son started attending Leaps and Bounds Fontana in September 2021, he was 18 months at that time. It was his first time attending daycare and I was a bit scared to leave him. Everyone was so nice and definitely a different vibe from all the other daycares I had gone to see. He's been at Leaps and Bounds for about a little over a year now. I'm happy, and I know he's in good hands. They always do fun activities with the kids and it's awesome to see pictures of my son along with the other kids enjoying themselves. My son went here from ages 5 months to around 7 months. He would come home everyday sniffling with tears in his eyes. The teacher even asked if I held him a lot at home because he cried so much while he was there. I assumed it was my fault at first, but once I switched daycares, his whole attitude changed. Another thing I disliked was that the communication between parents and teachers was not good. I never knew what he did all day, never got a copy of the schedule or learning curriculum, and just overall didn't feel as involved as i'd like to be. After him being there for over a month and a half unhappy, I switched him to Kiddie Academy and he never came home crying/sniffling again. He was noticeably happier and they have a much better communication with parents. He now has parent teacher conferences, I get a copy of their learning curriculum and plans each week, they send picture updates, and they have cameras. If you are deciding between Leaps and Bounds, and Kiddie Academy, I highly recommend Kiddie Academy. read more

Me and my girlfriend used to work across the daycare at the COVID Testing Center for Kaiser Permanente and thought this would be a good practical place to put our 2 year old son into for his first daycare. We made an appointment to take a tour and get orientated on the daycare. I was helped by Ms. Cindall and initially she wasn't very friendly or welcoming but I didn't think much of it. When it came down to asking questions about my sons safety and certain concerns I had, Ms. Cindall did not take me serious and had a very sarcastic approach. Mind you that this is my first child so I was new to this environment. I asked if they had access to cameras that way I can monitor my son. She replied "no and the owners are not thinking of getting them either if you want cameras you should go elsewhere" Which I thought was rude. I had a coworker that had their kid in this day care so I thought I would give them a chance especially because they were so close to where I worked which had a big impact on my decision. For 3 days we were charged around $225 a week. When I would pick up my son I would have to ask for daily reports because I was not offered them. I felt like I shouldn't have to ask how my son did today. I was not really updated on how he was handling this new experience to him. My girlfriend and I both worked across from them literally a parking lot distance from the daycare and we could see the kids play outside when they would let them out. One day my significant other told me she saw my son alone at the play ground after all the other kids had gone in. They had forgot about him. My girlfriend brought this to Ms. Cindall's attention and she did not take it serious. I could hear the teachers also yelling at the kids when they were in the play ground. My son would also get sick almost every week I had him in there which may just be because the kids would get each other sick but who knows if the place was disinfected regularly. He was there for approximately a month and we decided to unenroll him because it I was not seeing any progress in his care. I believe that working with kids should be a very prestigious career and should be taken very serious while attending to these kids parents in a friendly, polite and welcoming manner. I am also in the service industry and every one of our members are greeted with a smile and are made feel like they are apart of our Family or Organization. I hope this helps all future parents that give this place a look and also hope that this changes the perspective in which we treat each other. read more

My son attended leaps and bound a couple of months ago. However he was dismissed due to rough behavior. Keep in mind he is two, I choose this place because it looked like they had it all together, yet my son would come home with marks on his arms or face and when I would ask about it no one saw anything. Sometimes when I would pick him up he had a dirty diaper or DRY boogers on his face. The director of ms.c was very unpleasant, my son NEVER liked her and either did I just because the way she would talk to me. One day she talked to me and my sons behavior and called him a "ring leader" I can only image how mean she is with the kids. Long story short my son did not have a good foundation at this school. There parking sucks and I always felt some type of way about the daycare being in between a COVID testing center and gym. These classes are sometimes packed with 15 plus two year olds and only 2 teachers .. that's ridiculous!!! But I guess that's the law one teacher to 12 kids .. they also suck at giving you updates on your kids through out the day. Ms stephanie was always so nice and she would try and do pictures a couple of times a week. Ms bri was cool she was a little more firm with my son which is what he needed but at the time she was no longer working with my sons age group. My overall experience, I wouldn't recommend. read more

Leaps and Bounds is super clean, the facility is wonderful, the teachers and staff are super friendly. I will share my experience and hopefully somebody in the future has a better one. My child is 2 and has autism, upon meeting with the school director I informed her of this, and she was kind about it or so i thought. After approximately 2 days i received a call while i was at work in regards to my child's behavior. I was told he can have a teacher with him if in the event he is too much to handle. mind you hes 2, Cindall told me that due to him taking his shoes off and running out of the class *considering hes a toddler* that he would no longer be allowed to attend the school if behavior did not improve, now she never recommended the ABA teacher she just handled us as burdens from there on out until i just decided it woud be best if my child did not return, she was very passive aggressive and condescending. I am a young mom and was taken back i wasn't sure exactly if her decision was based on bias or if he was truly harder to handle considering he had been in daycare already they never once complained of behavior he was adored. She wasn't helpful with the sign up portal as she thought i wasn't telling the truth about the system; she would then text me "you forgot to sign ____ out" mind you i would email and call everyday about the sign in and her exact words would be "it works fine maybe you are putting the wrong pin in" instead of just being kind and helpful she insisted on it being me and not the system, eventually she just reset it after a full week of me asking. Another thing children are curious so i figured like other daycares they would have the door handle guarded in the toddler room, as a new child will likely open the door if they know how. Cindall was very snobbish and judgmental. i can tell she runs a tight ship. so if your kid behaves as children do I'd advise a daycare that's a little more friendly to toddlers and or children with autism she will tell you they are okay with it and then turn around and mention "behavior" instead of taking the next proper step which is requesting an ABA teacher i was so taken back by her disgusting attitude as i was not sure as to why she was determined to make it hard for us so i walked away gracefully. the facility was great, my honest opinion i feel its a great place but if your child behaves as such i would not bring them here. they are fine with the kids as long as it is easy, if your child requires a little more patience this isn't the place for them. read more

My daughters started attending Leaps and Bound last year and I have been overwhelming happy with this location. I was new to the area so I wanted to find a place I could leave them and be comfortable with. They teach them many things from dance, song, numbers, shapes, painting etc. I even hear my oldest daughter speaking more clearly now that she's in a classroom setting. I want to give this place a five stars and it once was. Both my kids were happy and I was too due to seeing how happy the staff was to be there and how well my children excelled. On a positive note my 2 yr old daughter has learned to be confident and learned to speak so clearly and voice how she feels. However since the new ownership there has been extreme lack of communication, changes in staff and there is still no official director. I'm honestly sad because I really was so happy with the way everything was. Ms Tommy was one of the best preschool teachers as she prepared my son for kindergarten and really helped keep things structured and consistent which is what kids need. My daughter loves Ms. Cindy. Since the change the following has happened...My 5 yr old was denied lunch when I was told not to bring him lunch anymore, in front of him which was heartbreaking to see and was extremely wrong. So I provided him with my own lunch since I had to go back to work. Another time he was taken to school in the provided van at the wrong time, and I wasn't informed. The school called to inform me otherwise I wouldn't have known where my child was. They had taken breakfast away from the school age children and parents were not informed prior to this change. They did bring it back but probably because of the upset parents. I had high hopes even with the change but as far as the school age. Its not changing for the better. This is only a tiny bit of the negative things that have happened. At this point I unfortunately will soon be moving my children. I have my two children enrolled here since before the new owners and I was worried how the new changes were going to affect my kids care but honestly I love it and am very happy with the new changes. They are all awesome teachers. Everything is more organized and a big plus for me is the communication when I'm there or if I need to communicate while I'm at work I can message them and they respond promptly. Any questions or concerns that I have I address right away and they are awesome about handling situations. The drop off and pick up service for my school age kid is the best. They are on time and make sure my kid is safe. I seen more fun activities being done now and love to see the kids art work on the walls. I have had my daughter enrolled here since she was 6 weeks old (shes 1y 9m now). I didnt have any real issues prior to the new owners taking over in Oct. 2019 but since they have I realized what we could have been this whole time. With it changing to leaps and Bounds it has become way more structured which I love. The owner took everything very serious upon take over, and gave me her number since I had so many questions. Within 2 days she would comment on my daughter's behavior positively in a way that showed she legit wants her to grow and prosper not just "we watch your kid all day". I have had the honor of having Ms.Cyndi take over the morning/mid day shift and I've never felt more comfortable with anyone watching her before. She had her saying entire ABC by 1y 4m and counting to 10. My daughter has manors saying thank you and bless you. I work full time so yes I inflict this at home but I know it comes a lot from daycare since shes there most of the day. I can truely say I trust them with her life! read more

I've been sending my daughter here since she was about 3 months old, first with Kidz Rock and then kept her there when they changed to Leaps and Bounds. I saw someone else post about their transition of ownership. I think there was some big changes they were making, but it's settled down. It used to be conveniently located on my husband's drive to work, but now that he's working from home it's out of the way. But we still make the extra trip to take her. My daughter likes the teachers and fellow students. I think she's more prepared for school next year than some of my friends kids. read more

By far the best decision I have ever made was enrolling my daughter into Leaps and Bounds. She started July 2020 and within the last couple of months we have been able to see a big difference. She talks clearly and makes out full sentences/conversations, she can count and identify her numbers as well as shapes and colors! The staff is amazing.
