But i was most impressed with their service. The gentleman at the counter was super knowledgable about their selection, their pour over processes, and helpful. The selection of music in the place is calming jazz which i absolutely loved. You could come here and hear yourself think or talk. It was clean and well laid out. Only issue was it was "cozy." Not a knock on overall rating, but definitely not a place to curl up and read a book which is what i like. But it is great for getting some work done or having a meeting.

I stopped by Tawbi Coffee in Oklahoma City on a Thursday morning around 9:30. I was surprised to…read moresee that it was still fairly busy, with plenty of tables already filled. From the conversations happening around me, it seemed like a lot of people were there for business meetings or work-related discussions, so it definitely feels like the kind of coffee shop where people come for business or to catch up with friends. The drink menu is pretty extensive, with hot and cold options including coffees and teas. The food selection is more limited, but they had huge scones, hand pies, and energy balls. I ordered the lemon ginger latte and a pack of three energy balls. The latte was really good: sweetened just right, served at the perfect temperature, and not overpowering. The energy balls were filling and had the right amount of chocolate chips and coconut shreds. The biggest downside was the wait time. It felt like I waited around 15 to 20 minutes for my latte, and when it was finally ready, they asked if I had received my energy balls yet. I had not, so they gave them to me then. That was a little frustrating because I had just come from the airport, was hungry, and had not had breakfast or coffee yet. Another issue was that the bathrooms had low water pressure while I was there, so I could not properly wash my hands or use the restroom, which was inconvenient. Overall, the coffee and snacks were very good, but the slow service and bathroom issue took away from the experience.

Oklahoma City Coffee Crawl Spot #5…read more Prelude Coffee Roasters is great. Reasonably priced, high quality espresso, served by capable and friendly people. But, the space upstairs is super limited, and that small couch that they have is sunken so close to the floor that is probably counts as an uncomfortable version of a Majli. Oklahoma City Coffee Crawl Spot #1…read more I only discovered this place because of the deal on Coffee Crawls. Matties started off the thing because of proximity. [] Pros [] - Good service. The guy who took my order was friendly. - A lot of space. - There's a book/gift store inside, with some really great gift ideas. - The bakery items look delicious, and I will probably be back to try them. They also have lunch options and stuff (think sandwiches, etc.). Overall, you can cover a majority of your dining needs at this place, so it's a good option to meet with friends, or even for a casual date. - The latte I had tasted pretty good (the espresso, I mean; a touch on the "too hot" side). - The prices aren't unreasonable, all things considered; a 16 oz latte was $5.50. [] Cons [] - The latte portions were an absolute travesty (please see the attached picture of my 16 oz to-go drink). Full disclosure, I did take a couple sips before I took the picture, but I can say with confidence that I didn't even get 12 oz before I drank what I drank. In that sense, the pricing isn't reasonable; $5.50 for a 16 oz latte, but in actuality it's probably closer to like... 10 oz? The value is clearly lacking at that point. - They have books by Sean Bolz in said book store. For those who aren't aware, Bolz is a well-documented charlatan, blatant liar, and sex-pest in the Christian space. You want to sell Christian books and paraphernalia, that's certainly your prerogative (it is Oklahoma after all); I'm a Christian so I appreciate a fair bit of what I saw in the store. But to give gross people like Bolz a platform to influence less aware Christians is... ew. Or as we say amongst Christian brothers and sisters, it shows "... a lack of discernment." Edit: My wife went for her own coffee crawl thing later in the day, and she didn't end up with a half-empty cup, so the complaint at this point is more about inconsistency (or potentially over-steaming the milk), as opposed to me feeling ripped off. I've added another star to my initial review because of this.

It almost felt like they knew those customers because they were served ahead of us, even though we had been waiting much longer. My banana licuado latte had clearly been sitting out for a while by the time I got it and didn't look or taste like it did on our first visit. The staff seemed clueless about what was going on and never apologized. They offered us about 2 oz. of drip coffee for our wait, but it was too bitter for my taste.

I got the Cuban Cortadito I must say it in no way shape or form tasted like any of the Cuban coffees that I had in Miami which is what I am basing the taste on. Also, it is very steeply priced for a 4 oz coffee. (The barista ensured it was aware that it was only 4 oz which if it tasted just like a Cuban coffee it would have been worth it to me as a treat.) The price points though is more expensive than the price points in Miami and Calle Ocho area which is crazy because Miami is expensive. I will give it another shot because the banana latté sounds very appealing so as of right now, I give it a 3 star. In my personal opinion it's overpriced and falls short on taste.
