Leanne is an amazing Therapist. She is definitely passionate about what she does. She gives you the tools to navigate a stronger relationship with yourself and others. She can't help anyone that does not want to be helped as it takes two in every relationship. She is so fair on understanding both sides of a relationship to clearly understand why you are there to begin with. 12 family members have the same experience as I have. Clients of mine are always recommended to her and continue to see her as well. She is in the field she in because she is passionate about her clients and her work 10 out of 10 for us. read more

If I could give negative stars I would. This woman ruins families. I've seen multiple post negative abt her and she will have them removed bc shes removed one of mine prior. She helped turn my child against me by seeing them behind my back multiple times, I understand that's not illegal, however if you are a family counselor, this should include the family. She advocated for dangerous young teen behavior. I was told my parenting style was out dated, she chastised my religious views and more. She caused so much anguish and sided with the other parent bc they were the one writing the check. I would not recommend her at all for anything as I've seen flip flopping behavior depending upon who is paying her. She refuses to give you information that is pertinent and belongs to you. She was a total waste of time and made things 500% worse. read more

Leanne flirted and sided with my husband during our marriage and family counseling including walking outside and speaking to him separately during our joint sessions multiple times. I was so shocked I didn't know what to do; it definitely left me scarred. She also behaved more like a friend to my young daughter than a therapist which did her irreparable harm as well. I've had a few different psychologists and therapists for myself and different family members over the years and never seen anything else like this. I just happened across this post and I must say the one stars are very surprising to me. I felt compelled to comment in the Dr Smith I know. As I read the posts, I could but help but feel they are posted by the same individual using different names. It appears she has a personal vendetta. I did not read anywhere that she was a patient if Dr Smiths, and comment on the help she received.. If she has not been a patient then it's unfair to rate her. BUT I keep telling myself, the individuals that seek therapy do so because they have issues and some are quite unstable. If she hasn't seen Dr Smith I urge her to seek help somewhere! PERSONALLY I feel the need to comment on the care we received. DR. LEANNE SMITH has been a GODSEND to me and my family!!! We started seeing her shortly after adopting a special needs child12 years ago. If it had not been for Dr Smiths expertise, knowledge, guidance, kindness and gentle way of handling the many issues my daughter had, there is not a doubt in our mind our daughter would not be the mentally healthy, stable young lady she is now at age 14. The help we received from Dr Smith weekly and the bond she made between herself and my daughter is truly amazing. She changed my DAUGHTERS LIFE, AS WELL AS OURS! I will forever be eternally greatfull for finding this amazing Therapist. We are at the point now that if my daughter is having difficulty with something, she will ask me to make an appointment to talk with her. Sometimes she only needs one appointment and sometimes several. In this day and age, when a teenager knows they need to talk to someone they trust, but it's something they're not comfortable talking to mom about, and turn to their therapist, speaks volumes about the character of this individual. Throughout my childhood, my parents took me to numerous therapists none of which I ever felt comfortable with. It created this idea that therapy was scary and just wasn't for me. After a couple sessions with Leanne that began to change. Leanne provides a safe and supportive environment that in my opinion is unmatched to anybody else I've seen in the Stuart-PSL area. Leanne listens and engages instead of asking the same boring questions over and over again. I always walk away feeling centered and collected. Our daughter was diagnosed with Asperger's and ADHD- Combination at an early age, and Leanne has been by our side since the beginning. Leanne is not only kind and loving, but she is also very understanding and flexible with our daughter. Their sessions together can vary from role-play situations to the two of them sitting on the floor "talking & hanging out". It is Leanne's "down-to-Earth" attitude and nature that allow her to connect with our entire family. She is a wonderful therapist, and we cannot say enough great things about her.
