To say that it was reasonable is an understatement - he came in at a third of the first bid that I received. Amazing. When the work began, Mr. Newcomb arrived with his crew - reviewed the project points and made the necessary introductions. From that point, the work moved quickly and ever so efficiently. Each day the team arrived as promised, worked diligently and only took a break for lunch. Four days later the work was completed and Mr. Newcomb returned for the walk through to inspect the work. Initially, I planned to have Mathis handle only the upper-story gutters while I installed gutter guards on the lower section myself. After spending three days trying to complete the lower section, I realized the results neither looked right nor functioned properly. I decided to have Mathis finish the entire job, and it was absolutely the right decision. The workmanship was excellent, and the finished product both performs well and greatly enhances the appearance of my home. This year, Mathis returned to inspect the gutter seams, and I asked their technicians (Antonio and Abraham) if they could also trim a limb that was hanging over the roof. They took care of it promptly and professionally with no charge--another example of their outstanding customer service. I have always done most of my own home repairs, but at 72, I can no longer take the risks that working at those heights requires. We talked on the phone for a few minutes and set up an appointment for the next day. Anthony showed up on time and after talking for a few minutes he climbed on my roof and did a complete inpection. After completing the inspection he told me he would work up a few estimates for different materials and email them to me. He did so in a day or two. After comparing them with the other estimates we had it was decided to go with a different contractor. Anthony was friendly and professional and did a good job and I would get an estimate from them again if I have a need for any other roof repair.
