Lisa has been marvelous at addressing all the functional issues I have: * As a technical writer, my professional life centers around my ability to get concepts down via keyboard * As a devotee of couture sewing, my relaxation centers on my ability to hand sew * As a sailing enthusiast, I need strength in both hands (and arms and back) to do my part on board * As a wife, mother and homeowner, I need dexterity and strength to perform everyday functions (driving, cooking, styling my hair, using power equipment) Lisa has helped me meet these needs with temporary workarounds while we address the long-term solutions. I have already achieved a greater range of motion than my orthopaedic surgeon expected for me. My keyboarding skills have returned to their pre-stroke level. In my situation, I missed a session due to a migraine, then had to cancel another session due to a critical personal matter. I called literally 23.5 hours in advance of the personal matter cancellation and was forced to pay a $25 fee because of 'my attendance record.' I also wanted to mention they make you wear a mask while you do PT. I have asthma and requested an exception, but was denied. Keep in mind this is 2023... literally no places force you to wear a mask anymore. They need to change this policy and modernize their archaic approach when it comes to masks.

The women who came here on a regular basis were the most caring and lovely and good-natured people I could have ever hoped for. One even offered a creative "workaround" that the OT had never heard of! They were super attentive and took care of all my needs, before I even asked. They showed up on time everyday and also drove me to doctor's appointments, the grocery store,, whatever I needed. Marci, their supervisor, was equally responsive and capable.
