As a long-time fan of the LDRS brand, I can't express how frustrated I am after my most recent order with them. I ordered clothes for a party and was given an expected delivery date of a 5 days before the event. The tracking info never updated and the clothes didn't arrive. After reaching out to their customer service team and asking for a refund/resolution. They assured me that the clothes I purchased were in transit. I waited another few days and nothing so I reached out again asking for a refund. Another few days go by and a gentleman from the store calls me and says that my order was never shipped out in the first place because they didn't have the sizes I ordered in stock. At this point, I told him look I needed these clothes 2-3 weeks ago, just send me a full refund and I'll be back to buy something down the road. He assured me that they would process a refund. Two more days go by and I receive this email from their support team that completely contradicts what the guy told me on the phone: "Your order was originally shipped, but somehow not updated on the tracking. USPS recently called us after finding a few packages that we shipped. Your order/package is with USPS and will be delivered to you and will be fulfilled as ordered." At this point, I don't buy what they are saying and clearly they don't intend to provide a refund despite not sending the clothes out for 20+ days after my initial order and mind you I paid for priority shipping via USPS. I've since submitted a refund request via PayPal since I can't trust LDRS to make good on this issue. Unfortunately, LDRS has lost a long-time customer. I hope they get it together. Saving a few dollars on a return isn't worth losing years of future orders. read more

This boutique is so cool! I really like how straightforward and compact it is, but concealing a high-quality product within. In addition to this, the staff is very hospitable and well-versed in the things they sell. They answered all of my questions thoroughly and took extra care to ensure that I was satisfied with the service they provided. I was looking for some clothes to wear because the clothes that are now stored in my cabinet are nearly as old as I am, and I am considering purchasing a dozen brand-new outfits. Because I was just given a promotion at my place of employment, I believe that I am deserving of a gift from myself. It's possible that the next time I go shopping, I'll also look for some new shoes and something to give to a friend who will soon be celebrating her birthday. Leaders 1354 is small but it's super cool. One of a kind OG sneaker and streetwear store in Chicago. Everybody in there is very nice and informative. Curated collection of unique sneakers. Definitely a place to check out in Chicago on your sneaker tour! If you are looking for something unique, not just Jordan's or Yeezy's but something different, you might find it there! This is such a cool store with so much to offer! To top off its offerings customer service is great. They really take their time to help you identify the perfect gift. I purchased items for my teenage nephew who has purchased items from this store before when he was visiting. I went in not really knowing what to expect but hoping to select something he would like. After all, he is a teen and his style changes often. Many items were trendy but unique and reasonably priced. He loved the pick and I found te entire process to be hassle free. It is great when you are in a place that is small enough to give you attention but big enough to have adequate options. I highly recommend this place for the man or young men in your life. The only drawback is it is located on Wells which makes parking a little challenge for car babies like myself. read more

I walked in the shop a week ago and three "workers" who were all on laptops couldn't even take the time to even say hello. i looked around for a few minutes and asked the price of a shirt. a kid behind a counter didn't know and had to ask another guy. prices are steep and you can find better deals online. who likes to go to a shop where the people who work there aren't even friendly? not me. damn urban hipsters. To revisit my experience. These guys had the balls to spam me about their Holiday / Thanksgiving promotion. When i ask about why they have failed to contact me about my complaint this is what i got in response: "This is your only order and no emails about a replacement or credit. We sold 350 units of that t-shirt with no complaints but from you, and were not saying that your crazy all were saying is that you made a very quit or weak attempt for us to solve this matter. Are you a hipster that is trying to be "urban"? Is it your lot in life to be apathetic and constantly bored? Do you NOT want to be helped EVER when you shop? If you answered yes to any of these questions...THEN THIS PLACE IS FOR YOU!!!!! I've tried to like this store, mainly b/c the one that originated on the South Side was WAY better. However, they pretty much did everything they could to suck. You walk into the 5 foot store and you can be the ONLY person there, give eye contact to the "worker" and not exchange a word for the entire time you are there. You can ask for a pair of shoes, he will roll his eyes and sigh, b/c he has to get off of his perch (away from his take-out) and actually do what he is getting paid for. If you are friends anyone that works here, then maybe you might just get a pair of shoes from here. It seems like all the sneakers worth buying are sold to their friends the night before and the only sizes left are the size 9s. Basically, worthless if you are shopping for an adult male. Leaders 1354 is SO COOL. They exist in the space between cost effectiveness (shirts for $35) and politically savvy street wear. I can't say enough positive things about Cory, who made us feel at home. If the merch wasn't enough to get your foot in the door, Leaders is also an advocate for social change in Chicago. Their community events in some of the city's roughest neighborhoods provide hope and economic support for those who need it. I like this store for many reasons. First, the customer service is excellent. They even remember repeat customers, which always helps in building rapport. Second, they have the best and most fashion forward items every season. One of the employees is one of the top fashion bloggers in the US and is highly respected in his field. My bf goes here all of the time when he needs something fresh to wear. The store has something for everyone. I've known about Leaders since '03 when I used to troll the Niketalk message boards. I managed to message and follow one of the owners (?) and happened to stumble upon him and Leaders again when I created my blog on Tumblr. Well, i was planning a trip out to Chicago and found out that Leaders was deceptively close to the hotel I was staying in. So, I decided to make a trip out. I also made sure to message and ask when he would be in the store. I finally arrived after an action packed day of Chicago sight seeing and was immediately met with a chill vibe and dope music. Definitely made me feel like I was back at home, shooting the breeze with the in4mation crew. Yes, it was THAT laid back. Selection was alright, as some others have said, but they make up for it with original designs. Again, Hawaii isn't up on LEADERS yet the same way that cats up here are up on in4mation. So, I'm down to rep the homies in any way I can. Copped a New Era, a few shirts, and a couple of requests that my cousin had. Super dope, very chill, a MUST check out in the CHI. I had read about Leaders in a Spring or Summer 2008 issue of Complex magazine, so when I went this Fall to Chitown, it was on my list of stores to hit. Its not that big, a classic boutique and the guys who worked there seemed cool. I liked the lineup of stuff they had, 10Deep, BBC, ALife, Married to the Mob, Akklompice, Cake, etc.. they do actually sell Nike, but only at the other Leaders location on South Side of the city. Chicago is full of good food, skyscrapers, and plenty of attractions. But what about boutiques? I went in on a Saturday morning before I left town just to see what Chi-town boutiques are like. I was unaware the store opened at 11am and I arrived at 10:30am. I noticed there was a line with about 9-10 people. I later found out that they were having a new fitted drop that match the foamposites (Black/Gold). I was reading that Yelpers thought that Leaders was OK and a little conceited. But I did not get that vibe going in there. I have been in worse (ahem, MAJOR!). So this place wasn't that bad. Vic was real cool and even rapped with him for a hot minute. Great shop I use to go to the spot by 47th and king and when I heard they consolidated to Wells street I was excited. Cory is my main guy there although it has been over a year since I've been there the service never fails....So what the other reviews write im a bit shocked. With that said...definitely one of the few shops to check out for anything that involves urban street wear. read more

Very cool shop that carries unique sneakers. If you're a sneakerhead then this is one of the top shops to go to in the city. Some of the shoes are pricey, but that's because they are usually rare, limited edition runs. I have gone here numerous times for Jordans and other miscellaneous Nikes. I really shouldn't be allowed in this place with my wallet as I am at risk of maxing out the cc. I walked in and they had the new Jay Z album playing. I was immediately greeted by the guy working and offered a complimentary cold drink. I was browsing when the guy wakled over and said he thought I would probably like this new line of t-shirts. Great place to buy clothes... They have alot items that are hard to find in chicago. The type of stuff you would buy at urban outfitters or something... i would buy more clothes from Leaders but 1. they closed the store on the southside, because they didn't like the local clientele that the southside brings in, and 2. their selection of clothes always seems to be a bit small for my taste. Other than those two disappointing facts leaders has a cool staff and they really support chicago and la's upcoming fashion trends. A haven for sneakerheads. They have really cool and exclusive fitteds, fairly priced and neat custom t-shirts, and the workers are great people. I feel bad because I bring people here to check it out and most of the times we don't end up buying anything. But every once in a while they'll offer you an energy drink and chat with you. The owner is also a super cool dude and is fun to chat with! They also have a student discount if you have an ID but not many people know about it! Wow, what can I say. Out of all the street wear shops I have visited in Chitown, Leaders is by far my favorite. Great designs, on tees made out of great material. One of the best stores i've been in that carry Billionaire Boys Club. If you walk in here and present yourself like you belong here then you will be fine. The owners Vic and Ty are super nice. So are the employees. They talk to you about up coming releases they you if they like something your wearing. A good store. Solid collection of clothing but bbc &ice cream is the biggest. They carry good shoes Android Hommes, Clae, Adidas, and a newly acquired jordan account. The leaders inhouse brand is doing very well. When they drop a new era be prepared to come early to grab one. They are usually pretty limited around 30. Good store one of the best in the city. Period! read more

Store brand gear is very fresh (with a more urban slant than St. Alfred's) and they are some very creative use of materials in their fitteds - but I was actually a little disappointed with the sneaker selection. Staff was helpful but wasn't able to cop anything - travelling all that way, armed with money and ready to shop, that was pretty surprising. I might have caught them on a bad cycle. read more
