Sis and I were out and about today. Saturday morning shopping brings a lunch appetite. We wanted to try a local non-chain restaurant. I driving down Main Street I see this establishment and remember hearing about Leader on the news a while back (WCCO or the Star Tribune??). We decided this is where we are going. Street parking available but must have parallel parking skills. There is a decent sized lot in the back. You can walk around to the front door or enter the rear door into the mercantile store and enter the restaurant from there. However there wasn't a clear sign on where the hostess stand was for check-in or if it was grab your own seat. We were greeted by a man as we aimlessly walked around the occupied tables. He pointed out a free table/ one sided booth to us and later gave us paper menus. After a short wait we met our waitress and placed our order. Sis ordered the basic bacon cheesburger. I saw pop-overs on the menu and just HAD to get them. It's been over 10 years since I've seen them on a menu. The maple butter was amazing too. Side note: pop-overs came out less than 5 minutes before the entrees. I like speedy service but I had only 2 bites in before my Chicken Club Foccacia sandwich was before me. Chicken was thick and cooked perfectly. I was surprised to see it was a good chunk of chicken vs sliced luncheon meat. French fries were soft inside, extra crunchy on the outside. They weren't marketed as seasoned but I felt like they had a light flavor to them. I was a little put off by pre-dispensed ketchup, even if it was in a cute mini glass ketchup bottle. How dare you tell me how much ketchup I can have...I love ketchup! But it was the perfect amount. It was all gone and so were my fries. So you win. One more thing to mention...I didn't mean to overhear or be nosy but a mom/ boy at the table next to us were finishing eating their lunch when we sat down. They had suitcases (with airport tags) with them and their lift/Lyft was 30 mins late and never showed. They were stranded on the way to a MPLS hotel and I don't think a cab service was available or whatever. She made multiple phone calls to find a way to get service. I was about to offer them a ride (I was heading that way anyhow and didn't fear them being murderous hitchhikers) when the man that sat us earlier (manager?) stepped up and found a ride for both of them. He saved the day. Go Cambridge community!!

Wowza! I haven't been eating out much and the places I have been getting takeout from I've ordered from in the past. Leader is new to my list. It did not disappoint ! Kids had the Mac and cheese (obviously) I had to have a bite or two or three because it was so good! You'd be surprised how many places can botch a simple dish like Mac and cheese - but Leader is another story creamy cheesy and flavorful! I ordered the pan seared salmon, you guys! It was so good, salmon was cooked perfectly smothered in the perfect amount of green goddess sauce, topped with crisp fresh veggie salad on a bed of perfectly crisp diced potatoes. Everyone was masked, gloved and curbside pick up was super fast and easy. We'll be making this one of our regular joints now.

Great spot for some food. Delicious, and great little shop to go after your meal. Good wifi for meetings too.

Um...WHOA?! I've…read moreheard about this store from friends before, but thought it was just a fancy menswear store. Well boy, was I wrong. I stopped in a few days before Christmas, and I actually had a few things yet I wanted to get my grandpa, so this worked out great. At the entrance - and throughout the store - I found free hot coffee, tea, refreshments, cookies, and treats. Maybe it's just a holiday thing but I loved the hospitality. The space is HUGE - so much more than clothes! I had no idea. They have: - books and coffee table books - a whole room dedicated to perfume/cologne and scents - a whole area for cocktail-related gifts - home decor, tableware, and interior decor items - kitschy smaller giftables that were organized by theme (work/office, hosting, etc.) - menswear and womenswear - jewelry - candles - and so much more! I genuinely believe you can walk in here and be sure to find something for anyone on your gifting list. The service was incredible: lots of welcomes and greetings, and staff there to help you if you need it. Oh, they even have a room you can reserve while shopping?! FANCY!

I am part of a large, semi-formal wedding in Atlanta. The function is laden with "pomp and…read morecircumstance" that might give me hives. However, a close friend is diving in for his third, and I applaud his happiness. I won't wear a tuxedo, but I needed to have a suit made that would make the bride and the 400 attendees comfortable. The bride already told me not to don a fedora or pink sneakers, although I wanted to. Todd Fliginger at Martin Patrick took me under his wing. Todd is amazingly kind, helpful, and knowledgeable. He sent swatches to Milwaukee before we moved to Minneapolis. Tailors were brought in, especially the master tailor Robert, not only to measure, but also to have me try on different designers' pieces to see what would fit well. I am a difficult fit, with a body more like a penguin than a human. That's what a custom tailor in NYC told me. However, I don't nosh on Krill. Todd and Robert took hours to get a correct fit and guaranteed that I would look good. Todd even saved me several hundred dollars off the original quote. ADDENDUM: My suit arrived, and it looked amazing. A few alterations are required to ensure a perfect fit, but that's it. I had a suit made on Savile Row in London that cost more than three times this suit's price, and it did not fit as well. This store should be on every list of Minneapolis's sightseeing highlights. It is akin to a design museum. Everything at Martin Patrick--furniture and furnishings--is for sale, and they're all amazing! Martin Patrick 3 is down-to-earth sophistication, with a NYC or Parisian vibe. Yet, the staff is Midwest empathetic. It is a Minneapolis treasure, as is Todd. I might not be looking forward to this wedding, but at least I know I will look my best.

Disappointed. Call me "old school" but greeting me when I walk in the door goes a long way. Hey,…read moreeven an acknowledgment! We walked in the door, to a shop devoid of any other customers, and then were completely ignored by 2 salespeople who were obviously in a personal conversation about something more important than us. I have worked retail for over 10 years and know the importance of professionalism and good customer service and it starts with the basics. Needless to say, our wallets never left our pockets. We marched over to Martin Fitzpatrick and were blown away by not only their product, but the kindness and politeness given to us by their staff

If my fiance were less of a man-beast (he's too tall for most clothing in general), if I physically brought him here and if I hid all the price tags, I like to think he'd shop here too. (What can I say? My fiance is a classy man who describes his look as "artfully disheveled." We all have our strengths.) In addition the the mostly American-made and Nordic clothing, they have some fun accessories for biking (leather 6-pack holder that I got my fiance for his birthday one year), camping (HOODED WALKING SLEEPING BAG SUIT?!?!) and some great home decor items like a woolen badger face pillow that I want in my house really badly.
