Nevertheless, Springwood cemetery is a lovely place to let your carcass rot into eternity, mainly because it's so large, big enough to necessitate a trio of chapels. It's the closest thing this city has to those vast European places with a thick forest of headstones and complex stone memorials, most of them standing above incredibly famous corpses. Springwood is a lush, organised cemetery that is pleasant to walk around, but if you're out for a stroll there's much less morbid places nearby that you could just go to instead. Otherwise there's a danger you'll glance a funny name on a tombstone and giggle in front of a funeral. And that's just awkward.

Very large cemetery. We were looking for graves from the 1930's early 40's without headstones. I…read morenearly gave up when I saw the size of the entire cemetery, it is in sections on a plan but when you are actually standing at the entrance it is a daunting task to find graves just off a map. We were helped by a very kind and helpful superintendent who showed us that all headstones have a section number and a grave number on the back. I think we were lucky to get some help as all the workers were very busy tending to this lovely well kept cemetery. It is very big, but well kept and still there seems to be plenty of room for a few more years to come.

My Grandad passed last week, I live in the US and was on a plane 2 days after I found out. It's been very emotional but I know my Mom said the family who work here who've been helping them organize everything have been so wonderful and just made everything so easy and run smoothly. Planning a funeral is one of the hardest tasks to do in life, there's really no easy way to do it but I know my mom and her siblings are very pleased with all of the arrangements. The last time I saw my Grandad Ken it was 2 years ago and he was very sick, it was very shocking and a part of me wishes I would have not seen him and remembered him as the vibrant funny guy he was in life. My Uncle this week asked me if I wanted to go see him. He said the parlor had done such a wonderful job with him that he looked like he always did. I decided I wanted to see him and say good bye but honestly when we pulled up last night I was very freaked out at the thought of seeing a dead body even though I know he was my Grandad. We were greeted at the door by the nice gal who was very calming and supportive who talked us through how he looked and how peaceful he was. All 5 of us walked in and honestly it was a shock, it was definitely a strange experience and I had to walk out after a few minutes as I felt sick. But I went back in to say my goodbyes and honestly he looked fantastic, he looked the same as he did his entire life and just looked like he was asleep. It was so nice to know he's in a good place and I'm glad that was my last time seeing him and I have the memory of him looking ill out of my head. I'm looking forward to celebrating his life today and reliving all of the wonderful moments he had. Thank you to this wonderful place for putting us at ease, making the arrangements for us and allowing us to see him one last time looking absolutely fabulous!

As we all know dealing with the loss of someone close is never easy and having to arrange funeral matters is something which no person looks forward to doing but luckily places such as this are on hand to provide help and support. The staff here are excellent and carry themselves with the utmost professionalism and care and this is something which every person is greatful for at a time of great distress. The prices here are reasonable and the options vast meaning that the last wishes of any person can be catered and cared for. On the whole Cravens are a credit to their industry and come highly recommended.
